The Second Elder spoke with a disdainful tone, while Qu Zhan chimed in, "Xiang Dong, you must provide an explanation for this matter. This is a rule that cannot be overlooked."

Du Tao cursed at me in anger.
I sighed helplessly and looked at Du Tao with a hint of sadness in my eyes. "Do we really have to do this, Du Zong?"
"To hell with it! What do you suggest we do?" Du Tao shouted angrily. I smiled and replied, "Alright then, Du Zong, this is what you asked for. I have no choice in the matter."
I first spoke to Du Tao, who responded with another round of curses that I pretended not to hear. Then I turned to my subordinate beside me and said, "Go get the evidence that Du Zong needs and project it."
"Understood."
My subordinate acknowledged and picked up the remote control; the projector had already been prepared. With a click, Cai Lang's image appeared on the white screen.
Along with it came Cai Lang's voice.
"When Du Zong's woman, Man Li, came to Ning Xia for a trip last time, I hosted her. We spent a few days together in Ning Xia. One night, Man Li seduced me and mentioned that Du Zong wasn't very capable in that regard."

Du Tao's face turned red with fury as he watched.

Du Tao pointed at me through gritted teeth.

The Second Elder waved at me with a smile and turned to leave. He gave off an impression of being quite formidable.

After Du Tao left, Qu Zhan looked at me with a smile that seemed to carry a hint of scrutiny, making me feel somewhat uncomfortable.
"Uh, Qu Gui, do you have something else? Should I send someone to take you home?" I asked Qu Zhan with a smile while issuing my dismissal order. Yes, Qu Zhan might be considered my superior or leader, but does flattering my boss really help?
It does help, but it’s definitely not as useful as proving your worth!
In terms of today’s events, the Qu Family would regard me with newfound respect. Even if I didn’t show them much deference, they wouldn’t mind.
