"What do you want, Xiang Lao Da? Can you explain it to me?" Cai Lang said, a mix of helplessness and fear in his voice.

I said this plainly, and Cai Lang was momentarily stunned. Was he shocked by my straightforwardness?

Cai Lang's expression shifted as he realized he had no way out. Du Tao would never be able to use my lack of reason against me to save Cai Lang; there was no way he could rescue him from my grasp. Ever since Cai Lang left Ning Xia with me, his life had been out of his control.
"Are you saying that you're targeting me just to get at Du Tao? If I provide you with information that could justify killing me, you'll announce that I've been executed and then secretly let me go?" Cai Lang asked, looking at me intently.
"Of course," I replied with a smile.
But would I really? When I looked at Cai Lang's file, I knew there was no way I'd let this guy go.
"Die cleanly," I thought.
"Should I trust you?" Cai Lang asked, looking at me skeptically. I grinned widely and lied through my teeth: "Of course. Your life doesn't matter much to me; all I want is to deal with Du Tao. I hope you can provide me with something satisfactory. Otherwise, I'll definitely kill you before Du Tao can save you, and we'll both perish together!"
I sneered, a hint of madness in my voice.
When you push someone into a corner and then draw a line for them to escape, they have no choice but to comply with me!
However, regarding anything that could punish Du Tao, I truly had nothing. "But I do have a secret that could disgust Du Tao," Cai Lang said with an ashen face; it seemed he was about to spill some information.
"Those who recognize the situation are the wise ones," I replied.
"What is it?" I asked with a smile as Cai Lang grimaced and said, "I've been with Du Tao's woman."
"Oh?"
I raised an eyebrow.

Actually, I only intended to weaken Du Tao's power. I had already learned enough about Du Tao from Yue Qing; I didn't believe that anyone under Du Tao could hold any leverage against him.

I smirked at Cai Lang and said coldly. Cai Lang looked troubled and asked me again.

Then Cai Lang recounted the entire incident. It happened two months ago when Du Tao's woman went on a trip to Ning Xia, and Cai Lang personally hosted her. During the visit, she flirted with Cai Lang and complained that Du Tao was lacking in bed, leaving her unsatisfied every time.
Unable to resist temptation, Cai Lang slept with Du Tao's woman. Only he and she knew about this incident, but now Cai Lang had no choice but to sell out his own crime in exchange for temporary safety.

After finishing his story, Cai Lang looked at me earnestly.
I laughed in response.

With that, I turned and walked out of the interrogation room just as the subordinates from Enforcement Hall rushed in.
A scream echoed as Cai Lang's life came to an end.
The interrogation room was equipped with recording devices; I knew Du Tao would definitely blow this up and let everyone know that I, the Enforcement Hall Master, was arresting people without evidence. He would accuse me of crimes and force me out of my position—perhaps even try to kill me.
I wasn't worried at all; I instructed my subordinates to edit the video of Cai Lang admitting his crimes and quietly waited for Du Tao to make his move!
As expected, just two hours after the video was edited, Qu Youyang called me.
"Xiang Dong, how could you be so reckless? What are you arresting people for without evidence? Even if you have my backing, there’s still Elder Hall watching over us. If you can't produce evidence, I can't protect you."
Qu Youyang sounded angry on the phone.
I chuckled after hearing this; women are just like that—no pain, no gain! Now that I held the upper hand, I felt invincible.
"Qu Da is overthinking it; I don't need any help with this matter. Is Du Tao causing trouble within Qing Gang? Isn't everyone in Qing Gang paying close attention to this?"
I asked with a smile.
Of course, I wanted as many people to know about this as possible; slapping Du Tao in front of a crowd of powerful individuals would be immensely satisfying!
"Yes, they are very concerned about it. The Second Elder of Qing Gang has already taken people there; Qu Zhan and Qu Gui have also gone— they should arrive soon! If you don't have an explanation ready by then, Qu Gui will take you back to Qing Gang Law Enforcement Hall for punishment! You should know that I won't intervene; I'm already quite troubled by your actions."

In the conference room, Du Tao pointed at me angrily. “Xiang Dong! You just became the Enforcement Hall Master, yet you have no reason to arbitrarily arrest my key personnel! Du Tao immediately exploded with rage! He was so furious that he jumped up and down; if it weren't for all the Qing Gang bigwigs watching nearby, I had no doubt he would have swung his fist at me without hesitation.
