I'm not joking; I genuinely believe that if a woman is married, it's better for her to spend time with her husband at home. Don't worry, as long as you improve the hygiene conditions in your factory, feel free to ask for help if you need anything. After all, we are partners now. 0

I said this to Xu Jiao with a professional smile, creating some distance while also applying a bit of pressure on her to ensure she takes care of the cleanliness in her factory—it's far too dirty! 0

Xu Jiao's face flushed at my words; it must have been somewhat embarrassing for her, but I was confident that my comments would have an effect. 0

"Alright, I'll go back and have them clean up the hygiene situation right away," Xu Jiao replied. I nodded with a smile, pleased with her response. 0

After Xu Jiao left, I found myself alone and bored—there was no one to keep me entertained. At that moment, I thought of Wan Fei. Wan Fei had once been one of my trusted confidants. Since Liu Sen was also coming today, it was the perfect time to invite him over. 0

I called Wan Fei and invited him to hang out. Without hesitation, he agreed, saying he had been wanting to come but was waiting for me to say something. 0

Half an hour later, Wan Fei arrived, looking just like always in his casual clothes, a carefree smile on his face that made him look like a playboy. When he heard that Liu Sen would be joining us tonight, he was ecstatic. 0

"Haha! That guy is coming too! Awesome! Finally, we brothers are reunited!" Wan Fei laughed heartily. He had a knack for giving Liu Sen all sorts of colorful nicknames, and it was true that Liu Sen was quite dark-skinned. 0

"Go ahead and say that to his face if you dare," I scoffed dismissively. Wan Fei and Liu Sen had a good relationship, but Liu Sen never indulged Wan Fei's sharp tongue; he would often give him a good beating when provoked. Wan Fei couldn't fight back and would end up cursing Liu Sen behind his back, calling him an old virgin! Whether that was true or not, I didn't know for sure, but it was indeed a fact that Liu Sen had never had a girlfriend. 0

"What do you need courage for?" Wan Fei shot back immediately. I couldn't help but laugh; even after years apart, he still had the same sense of humor. In reality, I had never seen him scared—he could still laugh even with a knife at his throat. His personality stemmed from his past experiences; he was an orphan who had been caught by local thieves and forced to steal. 0

Wan Fei refused to steal! He got beaten every day! Coincidentally, that gang of thieves had some history with our group. I took my men and dealt with them decisively, making quite a scene that attracted the police. That's when I found Wan Fei barely hanging on in their hideout. 0

I saved him, and later he sought me out and insisted on sticking with me. At that time, as an undercover agent, I didn't want anyone else tagging along, but Wan Fei relentlessly followed me around and even clumsily helped me deal with My Opponent—almost getting himself killed in the process! 0

Seeing how determined he was and how bold he had become—attempting to assassinate My Opponent—made me realize he needed guidance. If he continued down this path for a few years, he'd either end up in prison or dead. So I took him under my wing and kept a close watch on him; that's why he always regarded me as an older brother. 0

Chatting and joking around with Wan Fei in the office wasn't boring at all. Liu Sen's flight was at five in the evening; around four-thirty, Wan Fei and I headed to the airport to pick him up. 0

The ride was quiet. 0

"Haha! Dong Ge! Long time no see!" At the airport, as Wan Fei and I stood together watching the tall and dark Liu Sen approach us, I couldn't help but smile at the sight of my old friend—it always brought back memories. 0

I remembered how Liu Sen used to be notoriously reserved; it was only around us that he would laugh heartily. 0

"Hey! Long time no see!" 0

Wan Fei smiled as he waved at Liu Sen. Liu Sen glanced at him, nodded, and said, "Long time no see," before adding, "Why are you still acting like a monkey?" 0

What the hell! 0

Wan Fei's expression instantly soured, clearly displeased. In truth, Wan Fei wasn't bad-looking; he was just a bit on the thin side. He often joked about Liu Sen being a virgin, which led Liu Sen to call him "monkey" all the time. 0

I chuckled softly. 0

Watching the two of them bicker brought me back to those days when the only thing that made me happy was the bond between brothers. It was quite amusing. 0

"Wan Fei, why don’t you say something? What did you call Liu Sen earlier? You mentioned it to me today, didn’t you?" 0

I enjoyed stirring the pot and started provoking them. Liu Sen frowned and looked at Wan Fei, who cleared his throat twice and shot me a glare before saying, "Well, Liu Sen, you must be hungry, right? Let’s go have some roast duck!" 0

After saying that, Wan Fei turned and left without lingering. He wasn’t really afraid of Liu Sen; it was just that whenever they got into a spat, it usually ended badly for him. With outsiders, he wouldn’t hold back if they argued with him like that. But with his brothers, it was all in good fun. 0

"Yeah, I am actually hungry. Shall we go then, Dong Ge?" Liu Sen said earnestly as he turned to me. 0

"Let’s go!" I replied. Soon after, the three of us arrived at Kyoto's most famous Roast Duck Restaurant and booked a private room. Before we started eating, Liu Sen asked me, 0

"Dong Ge, are we here to mix things up in Kyoto?" 0

"Sort of," I replied. "The reason I came back is that I hope you guys can help me out." 0

I told Liu Sen and Wan Fei that while I considered myself their leader, I never acted superior to them like other bosses might. To be more precise, we were brothers. 0

"Dong Ge is being too polite. Just let us know what you need," Liu Sen said immediately. Wan Fei chimed in too, saying they would do whatever I asked. I felt touched and nodded; even after being apart for so long, brothers would always be brothers—a bond for life! 0

"Alright then, I won’t waste any more time with small talk. Right now, I need to understand someone better; I want to grasp this person's character traits. For this task, only you, Liu Sen, can be trusted." 0

I told Liu Sen, who immediately agreed and asked whom I wanted him to investigate. 0

"Tian Ye Group—Cao Hui. Do you know this person, Wan Fei?" 0

I turned to Wan Fei and asked. He had been mingling in Kyoto for about as long as I had but ran a winery and should know these people better than I did. Upon hearing my question, Wan Fei raised an eyebrow. 0

"Tian Ye Group? Dong Ge, aren’t you part of Tian Ye Group? Do you really need to go through this trouble to learn about your colleagues?" 0

Wan Fei asked curiously. Before I could respond, Liu Sen interjected: "What’s wrong with colleagues? Wan Fei, stop talking so much! Just do as Dong Ge says—if you know something, say it; if not, keep quiet!" 0

Damn! 0

Wan Fei looked utterly speechless and clearly felt stifled by Liu Sen's retort. Then he said defensively: "I was just curious! Why are you getting on my case?" 0

But Wan Fei didn't hesitate and began to share what he knew about Cao Hui. Wan Fei and Liu Sen were different from Liu Zi; while Liu Zi would hesitate upon hearing about Tian Ye Group, those two wouldn't, as they had once been part of my circle. 0

I didn't know much about Cao Hui either, but as the leader of Tian Ye Group, he had a significant influence in the Southern District. At his peak, he seemed to have around three thousand followers! However, with Lin Tianfeng's efforts to clean up the underworld, that number had likely dwindled to around one or two thousand, which was still impressive. 0

Cao Hui's personality traits were not much different from those of the gang leaders we had encountered before—he was all about money and women. Cao Hui had countless mistresses; he might not even know how many women he had been with. Yet during each phase, he would have a few favored women whom he treated well. Once he was done with them, however, he would disregard their well-being entirely. 0

"Is that it?" After Wan Fei finished speaking, Liu Sen turned to him and asked. Wan Fei nodded and replied, "That's all I know." 0

"What about the places he frequents? Do you know where he usually hangs out?" Liu Sen continued to inquire. The information Wan Fei had provided so far was not particularly valuable. 0

"Ah, let me find out. I'll let you know!" Wan Fei thought for a moment before saying. After all, he only knew of Cao Hui but did not have any personal connections with him. Liu Sen nodded in response; any information would be helpful. 0

"Then this matter is up to you two now. No problem?" I said with a smile as I looked at both of them. Naturally, they agreed without hesitation. In truth, this matter mainly relied on Liu Sen; Wan Fei was merely providing him with some initial intel to assist. I had complete confidence in Liu Sen's tracking skills. 0

After discussing business, the three of us started drinking! It had been years since we last met! Once we started drinking, we couldn't stop! We had initially agreed on one jin of baijiu each, but after finishing that first jin and getting into the groove, we ordered another jin each. By then, I was feeling quite tipsy. 0

After finishing the drinks, we were all a bit hazy and slurred our words. Originally, Wan Fei wanted to change venues to continue the fun, but Liu Sen declined. He mentioned that he still had things to take care of—specifically investigating Cao Hui—and refused Wan Fei's invitation. In reality, only Wan Fei was eager to keep partying; both Liu Sen and I weren't particularly interested in his idea of fun. 0

Since we weren't going out anymore, we decided to find a place to stay. Wan Fei took Liu Sen to a hotel and insisted that I join them. However, I couldn't stay; I needed to go home. The last time I returned home smelling like perfume, Linna was not pleased at all. If I stayed out all night again, I feared Linna might cause some trouble for me. 0

But I was being naive. 0

With such a strong smell of alcohol? Why did you drink so much? 0

As soon as I entered the door, Linna's keen nose detected the scent of alcohol on me! She frowned at me with an expression that suggested she was ready to scold me. Instantly, my temper flared up; if she could fuss over my perfume smell, why couldn't she let me enjoy a drink? Wasn't that a bit excessive? 0
