After experiencing a series of heart-stopping events, Ling Xue felt utterly exhausted. Although she spoke to Ling Na on the phone every day, hearing her child's voice brought only a sliver of comfort; it could never compare to seeing her child in person and holding them close.
Throughout these long days, she missed her precious baby every moment. The warm memories they had shared flooded her mind, and her child's smiling face shone like a ray of sunshine, illuminating the softest corners of her heart.
Ling Xue knew that this unpredictable system could issue another bizarre or even outrageous mission at any time. She didn't want to fall into those dangers and dilemmas again; she just wanted to return to her child as soon as possible and protect that pure bond of love.
Thus, without hesitation, Ling Xue bought a ticket for the night. She hurriedly packed her things, filled with urgency, and set off on her journey back to Su City.
On the plane, Ling Xue gazed out at the clouds, her heart brimming with anticipation. She imagined the moment she would see her child again—what expression would they have? Would they excitedly rush into her arms? She could hardly wait to hold her child tightly and feel that familiar warmth.
As the plane gradually approached Su City, Ling Xue's excitement grew even more intense. She knew that soon she would return to that loving home and reunite with her child, reclaiming the tranquility and happiness she longed for.
Nana Ko clutched a small sleeve as if it were her only connection to the glorious ancient times. The roar of the airplane echoed in her ears, but her heart had already flown far away to Su City, where her beloved child awaited, along with the warmth she craved. As she stepped off the plane and breathed in the air of Su City, a long-lost sense of belonging washed over her. She took determined steps toward home, eager to embrace that pure love.
Ling Xue's flight slowly landed at Su City Airport. Dragging her luggage behind her, she felt both excited and nervous as she exited the terminal. From a distance, she spotted Ling Na standing among the crowd, a radiant smile lighting up her face. The sight of Ling Na filled Ling Xue's heart with warmth and anticipation; she knew that from this moment on, she would no longer be alone.
Ling Na quickly approached and enveloped Ling Xue in a warm embrace. "Welcome home! You’re finally back!" Ling Xue tightly returned the hug, tears of emotion glistening in her eyes. In that moment, all fatigue and anxiety vanished; she felt nothing but happiness and gratitude.
"I'm so glad to see you in person," they chatted as they walked toward the parking lot. Ling Xue's mood gradually calmed down as she began to look forward to the surprise Ling Na had mentioned.
With a mysterious smile, Ling Na said, "I have a surprise for you."
"What kind of surprise?" Ling Xue asked curiously.
Ling Na teased, "You'll find out soon enough."
Before long, their car stopped in front of an extravagant villa. It was a three-story building with an elegant exterior covering an impressive area. Surrounded by lush greenery, the environment was serene and refreshing.
Ling Xue gasped in astonishment. "This is...?"
Ling Na smiled brightly and said, "This is your surprise! What do you think? Do you like it?"
Ling Xue was so moved that she couldn't find words. She had never imagined that one day she would own such a beautiful house.
"This is too luxurious! Why did you decide to buy me such a big house?"
Ling Na took Ling Xue's hand and said, "You've been through so much; you deserve the best. From now on, this will be your home. We can live happily together here."
With tears welling in her eyes, Ling Xue replied, "Thank you so much, Ling Na. I’m truly grateful for you."
