After the headquarters of the Lingna Group relocated to Su City, Ling Xue and Ling Na chose to continue living in Zhenpin Lanwan. Although this place was not as spacious and grand as their previous residence, it was filled with a warm atmosphere. The once slightly empty area in the living room had been cleverly transformed into a playful children's activity zone.
The laughter and playful shouts of the children seemed like a series of lively notes dancing in this cozy space. Ling Na's room was entirely decorated in Sister Style, with every detail showcasing maturity and elegance. The deep tones and exquisite decorations exuded a powerful aura.
On the other hand, Ling Xue resided in a room styled in Maiden Style, brimming with sweetness and romance. Pink curtains and adorable ornaments made it feel like stepping into a dreamy fairy tale world.
They were both busy with work every day, and to manage the children's various needs properly, they had specifically hired nannies. The nannies took great care of the children's daily lives, allowing Ling Xue and Ling Na to focus on their careers without worry.
However, as time passed, it seemed that some things were difficult to conceal for long. Finally, during a quiet moment, Ling Xue mustered her courage and revealed a deeply buried secret to Ling Na: she had another male identity named Ling Yu.
Upon hearing this, shock spread across Ling Na's face. She paused for a moment before slowly saying, "I never expected you to have such a secret. Our experiences are so similar; you even saved me once. If I had known earlier, perhaps I would have married you. Now that we have children, we can only take it one step at a time."
Ling Xue lowered her head slightly, feeling guilty as she replied, "I was afraid you wouldn't be able to accept it right away, which is why I never said anything. Now that it's out in the open, we should plan our future together."
Ling Na thought for a moment and said, "Let's get married after Ling Yu graduates and co-parent our children. I have no plans to marry anyone else; after all we've been through together."
A glimmer of emotion flashed in Ling Xue's eyes as she nodded in agreement. "Alright, it's settled then."
They fell silent for a while before Ling Na sighed, "It all feels like a dream. I never imagined the system could be so miraculous, changing our lives so dramatically."
Ling Xue echoed her sentiment, "Yes, the emergence of the system has altered our destinies. But the road ahead is still long; we need to seize our opportunities."
Ling Xue successfully avoided the awkwardness of switching between her female body and male form. When she switched back to her female body, she unexpectedly gained a magical skill called Spring. This skill allowed her body to revert to its prime state instantly with a cooldown time of two hours, making her feel as if it could be used infinitely. Filled with excitement and curiosity, Ling Xue activated this skill without hesitation. To her surprise, its effects exceeded her expectations; she reverted to her virgin state, which thrilled her immensely.
At that moment, the system also issued a task requiring her to contact the man she first had relations with for a date and formal discussion.
Ling Xue pondered that the person was Liu Jiang. However, when she extended an invitation to him, Liu Jiang showed no interest in meeting her.
Ling Xue understood that this would not be easy but refused to give up. She began brainstorming ways to persuade Liu Jiang. After all, he was Liu Jiedong's son, and now that she was in a married state as his stepmother made their relationship even more complicated. Yet for the sake of completing her task, she had to face it bravely.
Ling Xue dialed Liu Jiang's number: "Liu Jiang, I know you might not want to see me right now, but there are some things I need to discuss with you in person."
On the other end of the line, Liu Jiang's tone was cold: "What’s there to talk about? Is there anything left between us?"
Ling Xue replied urgently: "Liu Jiang, please! Just meet me once; it's important for both of us." After a moment of silence, Liu Jiang finally agreed.
