In the days that followed, Liu Jiedong and Ling Xue fell into a frenzied state, consumed by their passion. Although Ling Xue constantly activated her Immune to Poison skill to comfort herself, she knew that the system did not allow her to use this skill on Liu Jiedong. Using it on herself, however, should not break any rules.

Ling Xue thought about her studies and sent a message to Fatty asking him to help her take a leave of absence. Yet she knew well that this was not a viable solution; her education could not be neglected.
At that moment, she was torn about how to fulfill her mission. She even considered using pregnancy as leverage for marriage, but as soon as that thought crossed her mind, anxiety washed over her again.
If she became pregnant, completing her studies would be impossible, and she wasn’t sure if such a tactic would genuinely compel Liu Jiedong to marry her. If they couldn’t marry, what would she do then? Ling Xue found herself in deep conflict; she didn’t know how to choose between two paths.
On one side lay the mission and aspirations for the future; on the other were academic responsibilities and unknown risks. She weighed these options endlessly in her mind but could never find a perfect solution. All she could do was continue navigating this turmoil and confusion with Liu Jiedong while striving to find answers that belonged solely to her.
Ling Xue pondered over everything and thought of Ling Na. She quickly dialed Ling Na’s number to invite her over. Although Ling Na expressed eagerness to come, she was currently busy organizing a detective agency and couldn’t break free.
Ling Xue shared her plans with Ling Na over the phone, revealing that she intended to marry Liu Jiedong and mentioning his involvement in real estate.
Ling Na responded with surprise: "You mean Liu Jiedong from Liu Enterprises? I used to frequent Jun Yue Club; he’s been seen there quite often with many women around him. But don’t take it too seriously; businesspeople can be flirtatious."
Ling Xue frowned as she replied, "I know that, but it still bothers me a bit. I’m feeling conflicted and don’t know what to do."
Ling Na reassured her: "Don’t overthink it; just see how things unfold. Maybe he is genuinely interested in you. Didn’t you say you have plans for marriage? Then focus on that goal."
Ling Xue sighed: "I want that too, but I’m worried about my studies and whether I can even complete this mission."
Ling Na encouraged her: "You need to believe in yourself; you can definitely do it! No matter what challenges arise, face them bravely."
Listening to Ling Na’s words made Ling Xue reflect deeply. Though Ling Na was only a few years older than herself, she seemed much more mature. Ling Xue mentally reassured herself that this was merely part of the mission.
However, when evening came and Liu Jiedong wanted to get intimate with Ling Xue and suggested they take a shower first, thoughts of Ling Na’s earlier comments ignited an inexplicable anger within her.
