The imperial physician saw An Lushan say this, and then gathered the courage to say, "From what I know, this poison... seems to have been administered by a noblewoman in the palace."

So, An Lushan and Li Bai began a covert investigation into the truth behind this poisoning incident. They first investigated the people in Noble Consort's palace and found that some of them had close connections to the court officials. Then, they investigated the residences of those officials and discovered that they were secretly amassing power and plotting against the Emperor.
During the investigation, An Lushan and Li Bai discovered a shocking secret: it turns out that this Noble Consort was not genuinely concerned for the emperor's well-being. Her approach to the emperor was to leverage his power for the benefit of her own family.
