Knock, knock, knock. The sound of someone knocking on the door startled Ling Xue, who had just finished her shower. She quickly wrapped a towel around herself, which perfectly outlined her curvaceous figure. Ling Xue tiptoed to the door and peered through the peephole.
At that moment, her damp long hair fell casually over her shoulders, with a few strands sticking to her porcelain-like cheeks. Water droplets trickled down her hair, adding to her alluring charm. The delicate features of her face appeared even more enchanting in the misty atmosphere. Her elegantly arched eyebrows furrowed slightly, and a hint of caution glimmered in her autumn-like eyes. Tiny droplets clung to her long eyelashes, sparkling like stars under the light.
Beneath her high nose bridge, her luscious red lips were slightly pursed, resembling a blooming rose that exuded irresistible allure. Her smooth skin had a faint blush, akin to a ripe peach, making one want to take a bite. Her neck was long and graceful, with exquisite collarbones that added to her sensuality; the glimpse of her fragrant shoulders beneath the towel stirred one’s imagination.
Ling Xue softly asked, “Who are you? What do you need?” Her voice was as clear and pleasant as a nightingale's song, tinged with a hint of laziness and charm.
The man quickly replied, “I’m sorry to disturb you. I’m your new neighbor. My water supply has suddenly stopped, and I was wondering if you have any water I could borrow for an emergency.” Ling Xue hesitated for a moment; considering that she might have to interact with neighbors in the future, she decided to open the door. When the man saw Ling Xue, a flash of astonishment crossed his eyes. Ling Xue noticed his gaze and frowned slightly.
The man hurriedly looked away and awkwardly smiled, “I’m really sorry for the trouble.” Ling Xue pointed towards the kitchen and said, “The faucet is over there; you can help yourself.” The man quickly walked into the kitchen and filled a bucket with water.
He thanked Ling Xue again, saying, “Thank you! If you ever need help with anything, just let me know.” Ling Xue nodded as she watched him leave. After closing the door, she felt a bit uneasy. There was something strange about this new neighbor that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. She returned to her room, changed clothes, and sat on the sofa contemplating what had just happened. She resolved to be more cautious in the future; after all, she had important tasks ahead and couldn’t afford any distractions.
Meanwhile, the man returned to his room with a peculiar smile on his face. He took out his phone and dialed a number: “Boss, I’ve found a target—she’s beautiful and might be valuable.”
The next day, Ling Xue went out as usual, completely unaware that danger was quietly approaching. The new neighbor and his accomplices had been secretly observing her every move. As Ling Xue walked down the bustling street, the new neighbor and several burly men stealthily closed in on her. One of them swiftly produced a handkerchief soaked in sedative and covered Ling Xue’s mouth and nose from behind. She barely managed to let out a faint gasp before everything went black.
The group quickly lifted Ling Xue into a waiting black sedan and sped away from the scene. They wore triumphant smiles as if they had accomplished something significant.
“Wow, this girl is really something,” one of the kidnappers said while looking at the unconscious Ling Xue with lewd eyes.
“Don’t get any ideas; she’s for the boss. Try anything funny and see what happens,” another kidnapper warned him.
