Ling Yu held Dai Dong's phone, his fingers trembling slightly as he dialed the emergency number. The moment the call connected, he tried to keep his voice steady and spoke into the receiver, "Hello, is this the police department? I need to report a crime. There's a man named Dai Dong at an abandoned factory in the south of the city. He is involved in fraud and has been coercing women into illegal activities. He’s here right now, and I’ve subdued him; he’s unconscious. Please hurry."
The operator on the other end asked detailed questions about the situation, and Ling Yu answered each one truthfully. He knew that as long as the police arrived promptly to take Dai Dong away, combined with the evidence he had gathered, they would be able to uncover the dark forces hidden behind the club.
After hanging up, Ling Yu didn’t leave immediately. He found a secluded corner to hide and quietly waited for the police to arrive, while also contemplating how to cooperate with their investigation. After all, everything he was doing was for justice, but it also involved some unconventional methods that needed careful explanation.
Before long, the sharp sound of police sirens grew closer, shattering the silence of the abandoned factory area. Flashing lights illuminated the dusty ground through broken windows, casting a tense atmosphere over the desolate surroundings.
The officers quickly exited their vehicles with decisive movements. Following Ling Yu's directions, they soon located the unconscious Dai Dong on the ground along with scattered documents that could incriminate him.
The lead officer wore a serious expression as he directed his team to cuff Dai Dong while carefully examining the illegal materials. His gaze was intense; he suspected that Dai Dong was likely just the tip of the iceberg and that a vast criminal network might be lurking behind him.
Ling Yu stood aside, watching as the police methodically carried out their work, feeling a slight sense of relief. However, his heart was also filled with worry and unease. He knew it wasn’t time to relax; this battle against dark forces was far from over. He silently considered how to continue cooperating with the police investigation while also protecting himself and those sisters who had suffered in silence.
As the officers prepared to take Dai Dong away in their patrol car, Ling Yu pretended to be a passerby who had stumbled upon the scene. His heart raced with both anxiety and anticipation.
Casually approaching the officers, he said, "Excuse me, officers. I think I saw him drop something important over here earlier; maybe you should check again."
The police immediately became alert and began searching the area once more. Ling Yu watched their every move nervously, praying that they would discover the additional illegal materials and crucial information he had discreetly left behind.
Eventually, they found those documents, which further confirmed Dai Dong's criminal activities. The officers then asked Ling Yu a few brief questions about what had happened.
Ling Yu made an effort to remain calm and recounted his pre-planned excuse: he had been passing by when he heard commotion and came over to investigate, noticing something was off about this man before calling for help. Seeing that he appeared to be just an ordinary young man, the police did not suspect him further and left after giving him a few instructions while taking Dai Dong away.
