The old man spoke a series of obscure and difficult words.
"Zuo Ci, speak plainly!"
The old man was taken aback and reorganized his thoughts.
With some dryness in his voice, he said, "I am a disciple of the Demon King Sect, and this unknown Zuo Master, I mean no offense to you!"
"Demon King Sect!"
Zuo Ci sneered. "Just some rebels from the Yin Mountain Sect. What’s there to talk about?"
The old man's expression darkened. This Zuo Master appeared quite young, yet the aura he exuded was overwhelming, surpassing that of his own sect!
He must not provoke him! Absolutely must not!
"Esteemed Celestial Master, if the person I have taken over was a friend or relative of yours, I will retract my spell right now. In exchange for my left arm and all my lifelong treasures, I seek your forgiveness!"
The old man bowed his head.
He was quite sincere!
Zuo Ci frowned slightly. It was the first time he had encountered someone so earnest. This made his already compassionate heart even more reluctant to resort to violence!
Seeing that Zuo Ci remained silent and did not hesitate, the old man gritted his teeth and took out a sharp bone knife. With a swift motion, he severed his own left hand. Blood sprayed forth, and the old man's thin black-brown skin twitched in pain.
He glanced at the Chang Shen standing behind Zuo Ci, each one resembling an Evil God. A flicker of fear crossed his eyes. This must be an Old Senior who had mastered the art of possession and lived again!
The atmosphere was tense, even the Demon King Sect did not dare to underestimate him. He spoke in a dry, rough Mandarin, "This short blade of mine is crafted from the bones of an Evil Jiao that is on the verge of transforming into a dragon. It can slice through iron like mud; even the hardest Jin Jia Shi would seem as fragile as paper before it."
"Evil Jiao transforming into a dragon?" Zuo Ci scoffed. "A Jiao Long requires the cleansing of its demonic form through the Thunder Tribulation. But this Evil Jiao relies on stirring up storms and forcibly contending with the heavens. Even if it manages to transform, it would merely become an Evil Dragon."
An Evil Dragon possesses two precious bones: one at the back, known as Fan Gu, and one beneath the chest, called Inverse Bone. Unfortunately, this was still an Evil Jiao that had yet to fully transform into a calamity. Nevertheless, it could still be considered a high-quality treasure! After all, during the Last Law Era, Jiao Long were already hard to come by.
Zuo Ci smiled gently, "I am a man of principles. By severing your own arm, you have repaid the debt for borrowing my hired help's life. As for this Evil Jiao bone, consider it your ransom for your life; the cause and effect are clear, don’t you think?"
The old man reverently held out the bone in his palms and bowed his head to present it to Zuo Ci, exuding an air of life and death control. Zuo Ci waved his hand impatiently, "Get lost!"
The old man felt as if he had received a great pardon and quickly picked up his severed arm before sprinting away, cursing his parents for not giving him two more legs.
Zuo Ci took the bone while the old Evil Master collected the spell.
Inside the Vienna Hotel, the thick black mist hovering over Guan Boss's son’s forehead dissipated completely.
"Dou Lao, what do you think?" Guan Jintang inquired.
"Indeed, that Cao Juan Ren lived up to his name; the spell that borrowed life has been broken!" Dou Huai'an nodded in agreement.
Before Guan Jintang could respond, there was a creaking sound as the door swung open.
Zuo Ci walked in with a hand-rolled cigarette dangling from his mouth.
"Lao Shen has arrived!" he announced.
"Ten million in Mr. Zhong Nei's account!" Guan Jintang declared boldly.
"I really enjoy collaborating with someone like Guan Boss!" Zuo Ci grinned.
"However, Mr. Zuo, I still need to ask for your help!" Guan Jintang pressed on.
"Oh? What is it?" Zuo Ci raised an eyebrow.
"Let Lao Fu explain!" Dou Huai'an said in a low voice. "In the circle of the Demon King Sect in Siam, the name carries a lot of weight. Many people like to play tricks and spend heavily to hire disciples from the Demon King Sect to curse their enemies. After all, it's a straightforward exchange of money for services."
"The Demon King Sect doesn't care about any cause and effect," he continued. "So, things are quite chaotic in Siam and Nanyang's Yin Xing!"
"I know!" Zuo Ci exhaled a puff of smoke. "By the way, this matter has a bit to do with Mr. Zuo as well," Dou Huai'an suddenly smiled.
"It concerns me?" Zuo Ci was taken aback.
Guan Jintang felt as if his heart skipped a beat.
"Be careful, Dou Lao, don't speak carelessly!"
Dou Huai'an waved his hand dismissively. "Mr. Zuo is a White Person; it’s fine. Lao Fu doesn't like to beat around the bush, so please forgive him!"
Zuo Ci shook his head and urged him to continue.
"Huang Lao!" Dou Huai'an said, "A few years ago, this kid Jintang made a clean sweep of things and asked you to take action against Huang Lao's dozens of disciples. However, he didn't realize that one was missed!"
"Missed one?" Zuo Ci's gaze turned cold.
He looked at Dou Huai'an and sneered, "Senior, please don’t joke around. I put in a lot of effort to gather all the information on Huang Lao's disciples, including their health status, marital status, and whether they have children. I doubt Huang Lao knows more about them than I do!"
Dou Huai'an repeatedly waved his hands. It wasn't that Lao Fu doubted Mr. Zuo's abilities; rather, the one who was overlooked was actually Huang Lao's hidden top disciple.
The Old Guy, in his quest for immortality, colluded with Tibetan Vajrayana and went so far as to practice the Jade Maiden Deity, a form of Evil Arts. Naturally, this endeavor ended in failure. In the end, he exchanged a rare Gui Shen for the Po Wa Method, which allowed him to seize a new life.
Zuo Ci nodded. He too was quite envious of the Po Wa Method. The term "Po Wa" refers to the process of consciousness transfer, also known as migration. It signifies that when a person is about to die, they can take their karmic essence—Ben Yuan Feng Xin (Shi Shen)—and migrate it out from the Karma's Yun Shen to seek another path of life.
In Chinese, there is a term akin to Rebirth. However, Rebirth is often associated with Pure Land. The practice of the Po Wa Method varies in levels; not everyone who migrates will reach Pure Land. Even if one cannot attain Pure Land, as mentioned earlier, at the very least, they can manage to secure some form of existence. Those who practice well can even foresee their time of death and maintain clarity of mind, unlike ordinary people who are confused and helpless at the end of their lives.
Vajrayana teaches that after death, one enters the Intermediate State. This state consists of three phases: Intermediate State of Death, Dharmata Bardo, and Cycle of Samsara. It is only during the Intermediate State that one can effectively utilize the Po Wa Method. Through this method, one can achieve Rebirth and attain liberation as a Buddha. Therefore, the Po Wa Method must be cultivated while alive and applied at the moment of death.
The first step in practicing the Po Wa Method is to visualize the various celestial deities and Buddhas. Then, using the power of the Buddha, one can guide their soul to leave the body. In "Hui Deng Guang," written by Tsultrim Lodro Khenpo, it is noted that the Po Wa Method is a practice that does not require extensive training. However, it still requires some effort.
If the foundation is solid and one practices diligently, significant progress can be made in just one or two weeks. Group practice of the Po Wa Method yields even better results, especially for the elderly. Older individuals are more familiar with their body's Qi channels, making it easier for their consciousness to detach from the physical form.
For ordinary people, it is challenging to shift their consciousness on their own. At the time of death, it is essential to have someone with spiritual practice to compassionately guide and draw the consciousness away from the body, leading it out through the Crown Chakra. When a person dies, their consciousness can exit through any of the Nine Orifices. The path taken upon departure determines where the deceased will be reborn.
In simpler terms, this process is akin to a spiritual journey home. By visualizing the Buddha and harnessing divine power, one can strengthen their soul. Then, either before or during a critical moment, they can separate their spirit from the flesh. Once the Po Wa Method is practiced...
