The General shook his head with a bitter smile and said, "Your Highness, it's not possible. There are powerful individuals on that ship, and our arrows can't get close."
The expression of the Third Prince changed slightly; he hadn't expected things to turn out this way, and his eyes darkened. He knew that Qin Feng was difficult to deal with, but he hadn't anticipated it would be this challenging. Even the Divine Realm experts sent by the Manshan Ghost King had not only failed but had also perished.
Noticing that the Third Prince was slow to respond, the General quietly raised his head to glance at him. A chill ran through him; the prince's face looked far too grim. He quickly lowered his head again.
The Third Prince waved his hand dismissively. "I understand now. You may leave."
The General felt as if he had been granted a reprieve and hurriedly bowed before turning to leave in haste. He knew that if the mission failed, he would face punishment as well. It was truly fortunate that His Highness had spared him. If he didn't hurry away, would he just wait for death?
Once the General had left, the Third Prince coldly remarked, "Let it out."
Silently, a dark figure slowly emerged from the wall. A pale-faced Skinny Tall Figure stood before the Third Prince.
"You heard it too; Bai Yan'er is dead," the Third Prince said coldly as he looked at the figure.
The figure's hoarse voice replied, "I will inform the Master. We will deal with those experts on the ship."
Only then did the Third Prince let out a slight sigh of relief. "As long as you can handle those experts, I can eliminate the ordinary soldiers."
The Skinny Tall Figure rolled its eyes at the Third Prince before stepping back and disappearing into the wall again.
The Third Prince slowly sat down and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Every encounter with these demons left him feeling shaken.
"Hopefully, this can be resolved completely," he murmured to himself. The sight of Qin Feng charging southward had indeed frightened him; he had already received news of the unification in the north.
To everyone's surprise, Qin Feng unified the entire northern region so quickly. When he first received the news, he found it hard to believe and confirmed it several times. The subsequent news of Qin Feng heading south only added to his unease, prompting him to seek help from the Manshan Ghost King.
However, Qin Feng and his companions sailed downstream without encountering any further incidents. Standing at the bow of the boat, Qin Feng furrowed his brow instead of feeling relieved.
Bai Suzhen appeared beside him without him noticing. "What's wrong? What are you worried about?" she asked.
Qin Feng didn't look at Bai Suzhen; instead, he gazed at the river's surface and spoke softly, "Do you think the Manshan Ghost King will let this go?"
Bai Suzhen was taken aback, her expression turning serious. "I may not know much about this Manshan Ghost King, but as a powerful force, he will surely be furious if someone he sent is killed."
Qin Feng nodded. "Exactly. What worries me is when his retaliation will come."
Realizing what Qin Feng was concerned about, Bai Suzhen began to feel anxious as well. "The next attack might be even more terrifying. Have you informed Judge?"
Qin Feng glanced at Bai Suzhen and nodded. "Yes, he's on the boat."
Bai Suzhen was startled. "Where? I didn't see him."
Just as Qin Feng was about to respond, his expression changed abruptly. "It's coming fast."
Bai Suzhen froze for a moment before hurriedly looking up. In the distance, a large patch of black mist appeared on the river, rushing toward them. It was just dusk, with the sun having recently set.
Bai Suzhen immediately showed signs of alertness. "What should we do now?" Her tone was tense.
Qin Feng narrowed his eyes. "We'll face whatever comes our way."
Bai Suzhen slightly nodded, realizing they had little choice but to prepare for what lay ahead. However, with Judge on board, she felt somewhat reassured.
The situation on the river quickly drew attention from others on the boat. Feng Wushuang and Nie Xiaoqian approached the bow.
"Young Master, what's going on?" Feng Wushuang asked with a grave expression.
Nie Xiaoqian and Qin Wan'er also looked towards Qin Feng, both sensing that some kind of demon must have arrived.
Qin Feng felt the increasingly dense dark energy ahead and calmly remarked that it should be the Manshan Ghost King come for revenge.
As soon as he finished speaking, the black mist opposite them seemed to dissipate slightly.
Qin Feng swept his divine sense across the area, focusing on the figures standing on the river surface.
