She had already taken Guobei County as her territory, forbidding other demons from entering. So now in Guobei County, there were no demons at all, not even a trace of evil spirits. With the presence of the City God Temple, even wandering souls had vanished.
The Tree Demon was lying on a large bed, attended by a female ghost. As she ceased to harm humans, her appearance and aura had changed. She had transformed into a charming young woman, with delicate features and fiery red lips, embodying the essence of a captivating Noble Lady. Her aura had become incredibly gentle, exuding a vibrant life force.
The female ghosts loved to be close to the Tree Demon; they could sense that her aura was beneficial to them, greatly enhancing their souls. Suddenly, the Tree Demon's expression changed, and she sat up in alarm, staring fearfully at the figure across from her. Her speech faltered.
Sitting opposite her was a middle-aged man with flowing purple hair, who was watching the Tree Demon with great interest. The female ghosts involuntarily knelt to the ground, completely losing control over their bodies. They could only feel that this middle-aged man's power was terrifying; even his faint aura made them feel as if they were on the verge of losing their souls.
The Tree Demon felt it even more acutely; she was overwhelmed by a sense of impending death, trembling uncontrollably and unable to utter a word.
"You little Tree Demon is quite interesting; you would fit right in at the Ten Thousand Great Mountains," Yao Huang said slowly.
The Tree Demon’s face paled. "You... you are from the Ten Thousand Great Mountains?" She looked at Yao Huang in terror. How could she not be afraid? Er Da Wang had killed the White Tiger!
She felt that this was revenge coming for her; she was certain she would die.
Seeing the Tree Demon’s ashen face, Yao Huang couldn’t help but chuckle. "What are you afraid of? I won’t casually kill members of the demon clan."
The Tree Demon was taken aback; regardless of whether it was true or not, she felt a slight sense of relief. "Then... may I ask what brings you here?" she stammered.
"Heh, don’t you know?" Yao Huang replied coldly with a smirk.
The Tree Demon’s eyes were filled with despair, yet she was here for revenge.
“Alright, I won’t scare you anymore. You must have a way to contact that Jiao Long, right? Call him here,” Yao Huang said casually.
The Tree Demon was taken aback and cautiously glanced at Yao Huang. “Then I’ll call him.”
Yao Huang slightly closed his eyes.
Indeed, the Tree Demon had a way to reach Hei Jiao, and soon Hei Jiao received the message.
Yao Huang suddenly opened his eyes. “He really is quick to arrive.”
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure vanished.
The Tree Demon felt weak all over and collapsed onto the bed. Finally, it was happening.
However, she quickly jumped up and hurried outside. She still needed to see for herself; the outcome of this confrontation could determine her own fate.
At the peak of Black Mountain, Hei Jiao stood with his hands clasped behind his back, quietly observing.
Suddenly, the space in front of him rippled slightly, and a Daoist figure appeared in an instant.
Hei Jiao raised an eyebrow upon seeing the Purple-Haired Middle-Aged Man before him, and a serious expression crossed his face. The strength of this person seemed to be on par with his own; he was no simple opponent.
Yao Huang also scrutinized Hei Jiao, his expression growing solemn.
The two men locked eyes for a long moment before Hei Jiao spoke first. “You’ve come for revenge from the Ten Thousand Great Mountains?”
Hearing this, Yao Huang suddenly smiled and shook his head slightly. “What if I said I wasn’t?”
“Hm?” Hei Jiao was taken aback, looking at Yao Huang in confusion as he furrowed his brow. “What do you mean?”
Yao Huang smiled again, taking a few steps toward the mountain's edge and gazing at the rolling hills of the Ten Thousand Great Mountains in the distance. “Your strength is formidable; are you truly content to remain in this world forever?”
