"Stop looking! Don't you know that's Black Mountain?"
"Are those demons fighting?"
"It's terrifying! Quickly, go back and lock the doors. Don't come out again!"
The townsfolk hurriedly ran back into their homes, their faces filled with fear as they curled up in bed, trembling.
On Black Mountain, eight figures surrounded the Black Mountain Old Demon and Cui Pan.
Cui Pan withdrew his gaze from the sky, casting a disdainful glance at the eight and coldly stated, "Leave now, and I won't kill you."
The eight exchanged glances, and one stepped forward, scoffing, "Leave? We came here to wipe you out!"
The Black Mountain Old Demon laughed coldly. "Ha! Just you?"
As he spoke, he lunged at the man, a massive rock from Black Mountain suddenly appearing and crashing down towards him.
The man barely had time to react before he was crushed into a meat patty beneath the weight of Black Mountain, leaving everyone stunned.
No one expected the Black Mountain Old Demon to act so swiftly. The Black Mountain smiled triumphantly, reaching out to summon it back into his hand as it shrank in size.
This was his life’s treasure, forged from the very Black Mountain that birthed him in Difu. His true form was that of a massive stone tablet.
He named himself after Black Mountain because of this artifact.
"Damn it! He killed my brother! Kill him!" The remaining seven demons quickly regained their composure and shouted as they charged towards the Black Mountain Old Demon.
Cui Pan's eyes narrowed at Lu Pan. "It's time to act."
With that, divine light radiated from him as he produced the Judge's Pen, drawing seven lines in the air.
Seven beams of golden light shot forth like arrows toward the seven demons.
Lu Pan also brandished his Judge's Pen and charged forward.
Seeing Lu Pan and Cui Pan spring into action, the ghost kings immediately rallied their forces and surged toward the demons.
In an instant, the two sides clashed violently, turning all of Black Mountain into a battlefield.
The Tree Demon, having recovered from her injuries, joined the fray; she had suffered the most damage and now unleashed her pent-up resentment on these demons.
Although the roots were gone, the branches remained. One by one, the branches entwined the demons, choking them to death. They drained their blood, leaving behind a pile of dry corpses on the ground. The Tree Demon, being strong in the Golden Core Realm, found it easy to deal with those Little Demons in the Transformation Period.
High above, Hu was covered in wounds, his body marked with claw prints. In contrast, Hei Jiao appeared unscathed, his Dragon Scales still gleaming as if brand new. A flicker of fear crossed Hu's eyes; he realized that Hei Jiao possessed the Virtualization Technique. No wonder he preferred close combat. When Hu struck him, it seemed ineffective, but when Hei Jiao retaliated, every hit landed perfectly—it was infuriating.
As Hu saw the black Dragon Tail whip toward him, he quickly pushed off the ground and leaped away. He knew he couldn't continue like this. With a thought, a Xiao Qi appeared above his head, shrouded in swirling black mist. The Xiao Qi billowed in the wind, transforming into a ten-zhang tall black banner that flapped violently.
The eerie sound of wailing echoed as countless ghastly faces appeared on the flag. A fierce expression crossed Hu's face; his Wan Hun Banner was missing a soul, and Hei Jiao seemed just right for the task. He shook the Wan Hun Banner, amplifying the haunting cries that filled the air.
Instantly, the environment around Hei Jiao transformed into darkness, surrounded by countless ghosts closing in on him. Hei Jiao glanced around and noted that these spirits were of decent quality; aside from a few Yuan Shen Realm ghosts, all others were from the Golden Core Realm—both human and demon alike.
