Hei Jiao shook his head. He had treated Difu as his own territory; how could he allow the Black Mountain Old Demon to act so recklessly?
Though the Black Mountain Old Demon was puzzled, he still obeyed Hei Jiao and continued to channel more magical power.
Cui Pan watched as the pressure from above increased, letting out a slight sigh of relief. It was fortunate that they had arrived just in time; if they had been even a few days late, the Blood Demon would have truly escaped, and that would have thrown the world into chaos.
Suddenly, Hei Jiao's brow furrowed as he fixed his gaze on the center of the formation.
"Trying to seal me again? No way!" The furious roar echoed out.
With a rumble, the ground bulged up into a small hill, bloodlight seeping from within.
"No, he's going to fight back!" Cui Pan exclaimed in horror as he saw the golden formation enveloping the hill.
Hei Jiao's eyes turned cold, and with a roar reminiscent of a dragon's cry, the black Dragon Tail appeared.
"Get down!" he shouted as he struck down fiercely at the hill.
With a loud bang, the surrounding area shook as the hill was forcefully pushed back down, becoming perfectly flat once more.
"Impossible! Who is it? Who could it be? Could it be that Yama King hasn't left?" A voice filled with disbelief echoed from underground.
Cui Pan looked at Hei Jiao in shock; that tail strike was something he wouldn't have been able to withstand if he had tried to take it head-on.
Hei Jiao's strength exceeded his expectations, and Cui Pan felt a twinge of worry about whether allowing them to channel power into Difu was wise or not.
It seemed that this blow had completely shattered the Blood Demon's confidence, and silence fell beneath the formation.
As magical power continued to flow, the formation began to shine brilliantly and slowly started to rotate.
After a long moment, Cui Pan joyfully declared, "It's working!"
The four of them simultaneously withdrew their hands, causing the formation to spin even faster before it vanished underground, leaving no trace of its existence.
Cui Pan let out a breath, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "We arrived just in time; otherwise, we would have been in big trouble."
Hei Jiao remained silent but turned his gaze toward a specific spot, extending his right hand outward.
A blood-colored figure emerged in Hei Jiao's grasp as he clutched its throat tightly.
"What? The Blood Body, when will it come out?" Cui Pan and Lu Pan's faces changed dramatically, and they both took a step back.
"Hehehe, go ahead and kill me. Do you dare?" The Blood Man seemed to have no power to resist, yet he appeared arrogant, letting out a gleeful cackle.
Cui Pan regained his composure and quickly urged, "You must kill him! This is his main consciousness; if he dies, the other Blood Bodies will randomly become his replacements."
The Blood Man laughed even more triumphantly. "Haha, that's right! So do you dare to kill me?"
Hei Jiao narrowed his eyes and suddenly transformed into a dragon, swallowing the Blood Man whole in one bite.
The Blood Man's face showed shock before he was engulfed by darkness.
Lu Pan's expression turned grave. "Now the Blood Demon has come out again."
Cui Pan's face also darkened. "How could you kill him?" His tone carried a hint of reproach.
Hei Jiao glanced at them and said indifferently, "Can you reseal him?"
Cui Pan was taken aback and shook his head. "No, don’t be fooled by the fact that he’s just one body; his consciousness can shift freely. I’m not as powerful as Yan Jun."
"Then what are we waiting for? While his main consciousness is still here, we should kill him instead of letting him linger," Hei Jiao said impatiently.
Cui Pan sighed bitterly. "But even if we kill him, it won’t matter. As long as those bodies exist, he won’t truly die."
Hei Jiao squinted. "If the main consciousness is destroyed, it will take some time for him to resurrect. That’s much better than allowing him to shift his main consciousness at will."
