"Are you an actor?" Qin Feng couldn't help but ask.
Qi Yi was taken aback. She wouldn't call herself an actor, but she had made quite a few short videos, though none had gone viral.
Then her excitement bubbled over. "How powerful are you? Can you kill that centipede demon? And what about the Dog Emperor? Can you help me get rid of him?"
"Oh, and the prince and the Third Prince—they're not good people either. Why not take care of them too?"
Qin Feng felt a bit speechless. "Should I just wipe out the entire palace then?"
"Really? That would be amazing! Well, you can leave Ba Di alive. You have no idea how filthy the palace is. I didn't believe it at first, but after seeing it with my own eyes, I realized just how dark it is."
Qin Feng shook his head. "You should focus on your own matters. If you get into trouble, I'll save you."
Qi Yi paused for a moment, feeling somewhat dissatisfied.
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow. "Then forget it."
"Hey, don't! Fine, fine, as long as you can save my life!" Qi Yi quickly replied.
"Look, Xiao Qi is here! Feng Er, what are you two talking about?" a cheerful voice called out.
Qin Feng and Qi Yi turned to look.
"Wow, where did this little sister come from? She's so pretty!" Qi Yi exclaimed as she spotted Qin Wan'er, her eyes lighting up.
A hint of surprise flashed in Qin Feng's eyes. At that moment, Qin Wan'er was wearing a pink dress and had her hair styled in little braids, clearly having put in some effort to look nice.
She was simply adorable.
Qin Feng stood up. "Yes, she really is beautiful."
Chang smiled as he held Qin Waner's hand. "Xiao Qi, isn't my daughter lovely?"
Qi Yi's mouth dropped open in disbelief. "Your daughter?"
Chang laughed and said, "Yes! Let me introduce you. This is Feng Er, Ke Zhuangyuan Lang—my son. And this is Wan'er —my daughter."
He then pointed to Qi Yi and added, "This is Qi Yi—my niece."
Qin Feng turned his head and looked at Qi with an incredulous expression. "You’re my aunt’s son?"
Qin Feng smiled and replied, "Yes, cousin. Surprised? Unexpected?"
Qi nodded in astonishment; it was indeed a huge surprise.
Chang laughed and said to Qin Feng, "Feng Er, Xiao Qi is probably the best among my siblings. She often comes to visit me."
Qin Feng glanced at Qi, thinking she was here to invest and cling to him for support.
Seeing the look in Qin Feng's eyes, Qi quickly said, "Don’t get me wrong! I genuinely like my aunt. I think she’s the most personable in the royal family."
Chang looked at Qin Feng and then at Qi, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Do you two know each other?"
Qi hurriedly replied, "Of course! Aunt, I even tried to win him over, but unfortunately, Zhuang Yuan Lang looks down on me."
Chang shook her head. "You shouldn’t try to win people over anymore. In Da Li, women are not allowed to ascend to the throne."
Qin Feng was taken aback. "Why is that?"
Seeing that Qin Feng was interested, Chang pulled Qin Wan'er down to sit beside her. "It’s all about the royal family's foundation. There are many old fossils in there; how could they allow a woman to take power?"
Qin Feng nodded slightly in agreement. "That makes sense."
Qi pouted and said, "Aunt, I don’t want to be an Empress either; it’s just for self-preservation."
Chang shook her head reassuringly. "Don’t worry; with me around, no one can harm you."
Qi's face lit up with joy as she playfully said, "Thank you, Aunt!"
Then she turned to Qin Wan'er and grabbed her hand. " Wan'er, cousin, I’ll take you around the capital from now on."
