Zhenbei Wang's pupils contracted as he stared at the enormous python, now reduced to such a small size. He snapped back to reality, realizing that his only concern was survival. He hurriedly said, "I will participate in the Dragon Contest. I currently lack support, so why don't we cooperate?"
"Yes, as long as you can support me, once I seize the world, I can grant you anything you desire," he continued, growing more excited. With the Black Python's formidable strength on his side, his chances of success would increase significantly.
The Black Python paused for a moment, taken aback by this fool who was now trying to win him over. "Heh, I already have someone in mind. Unfortunately, it’s not you," the Black Python replied coolly.
Zhenbei Wang's expression stiffened, and a murderous intent flickered in his eyes. "Who is it?"
The Black Python cursed silently at the idiot before choosing not to engage further. With a flick of its tail, it vanished in an instant.
Zhenbei Wang's face changed dramatically as he hastily swung his sword forward. However, it was futile; the sword passed through the Black Snake's body without causing any harm.
In the blink of an eye, Zhenbei Wang felt a sharp pain in his forehead as if something had pierced through to the back of his head. His gaze turned hollow; he realized he was truly dead here—his soul had been crushed by the Black Snake.
Yet, Zhenbei Wang's body did not fall; it remained suspended in mid-air. The Black Snake's eyes revealed a grave expression as its serpent-like gaze fixated on Zhenbei Wang's head.
At that moment, a Purple Blue Snake appeared above Zhenbei Wang, angrily roaring at the Black Snake. The Black Snake sensed a mysterious force emanating from the heavens that seemed to repel it while carrying an oppressive weight.
" Destiny Energy transformed into a snake; it's truly a dragon contest," the Black Snake murmured to itself. "Unfortunately, Destiny Energy hasn't yet transformed into a flood dragon."
Looking up at the sky, it understood that this was Da Li's Dragon Qi expressing disdain towards it. After all, being a prince and dying like this would significantly damage Great Li's Dragon Qi.
The Black Snake's eyes turned cold as it unleashed a surge of Long Wei that shot skyward. The presence of Earth Vein Dragon Qi caused Da Li and Destiny Energy to pause momentarily, appearing somewhat bewildered.
The Earth Vein Dragon Qi is no less impressive than the Great Li Dragon Qi. In the end, it was the Great Li Dragon Qi that retreated, leaving behind a sense of relief.
The Black Snake turned its gaze toward the Purple Blue Snake and its Destiny Energy. At that moment, the little snake recoiled in fear, and a hint of helplessness flashed in the Black Snake's eyes. Why couldn't it just devour someone else's Destiny Energy?
Suddenly, the little snake shot up into the sky and vanished in the blink of an eye. The Black Snake did not intervene, knowing that the Destiny Energy had chosen another host once again.
With a thud, the Destiny Energy departed, causing Zhenbei Wang's corpse to fall downward. The Black Snake merely glanced at it; it had not yet developed a habit of consuming humans and still maintained its bottom line. Otherwise, it would truly become a monster.
With a flick of its tail, the Black Snake disappeared.
When the Black Mountain Old Demon saw the Black Snake arrive, he asked excitedly if it had killed anyone. The Black Snake flashed with dark light and transformed back into human form, smiling as it replied, "Of course! Do you think I would let him escape?"
"Ha ha! Impressive! You’ve killed Bai Hu Wang and Zhenbei Wang; now you will strike fear across the world! My reputation in Black Mountain will soar even higher!" the Black Mountain Old Demon exclaimed with excitement.
The Black Python shook its head. "There must be drawbacks."
The Black Mountain Old Demon paused, his smile fading as he said gravely, "Right. Killing Bai Hu Wang might anger the Ten Thousand Great Mountains."
The Black Python narrowed its eyes. "Will those old monsters come out?"
