"Haha, well said. I shall openly and boldly kill Qin Feng. Hmph, let him live a little longer," the Gui Chancellor sighed in relief, finally managing to persuade the others.
The demons also relaxed; after all, they were not keen on taking risks. What if they ran into the Black Mountain Old Demon or Heishui Yaowang?
As Qin Feng and his companions resurfaced on the boat, the scholars quickly distanced themselves from them. This was a ruthless individual. The Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals glanced nervously at Qin Feng, all too aware that this scholar had slain the Qinghe Water Lord.
On the shore, many people stood watching as the large ship appeared, erupting in cheers. Among the crowd stood Feng Lin, his expression dark and fierce as he stared at the ship before turning to leave. He had already spotted Qin Feng; he just needed to confirm their return.
As soon as they disembarked, Han Qing excitedly called out to his father. The crowd turned to see a palanquin stationed nearby, surrounded by a dozen Yard Guards. No one dared to approach.
An imposing figure clad in an Official Robe stood there; upon seeing Nie Rong, he smiled. "Brother Nie, you’ve come! Why didn’t you come to find me?"
Nie Rong chuckled as he walked over. "Haha, I didn’t plan to stay long, so I didn’t want to intrude."
"Don’t be so polite. Come on, let’s go back and have a drink," Han Fu Zun said, shaking his head and waving his hand.
Nie Rong hesitated for a moment. "Brother Han, there are quite a few people here."
Han Fu Zun glanced at Qin Feng and laughed. "What? Do you think my place is too small? Everyone is welcome; more people means more liveliness."
Seeing this, Nie Rong decided not to be polite any longer. "Alright then, I’ll impose on you, Brother Han."
Suddenly, Qin Feng interrupted. "Nie Shu, I have something to do; you all go ahead first. I’ll catch up with you later."
Nie Rong was taken aback, and everyone looked at Qin Feng in confusion.
Nie Rong suddenly remembered something and nodded. "Alright then, just come directly to the Yamen when you're ready."
Qin Feng nodded and reached out to hand Qin Wan'er’s hand over to Nie Xiaoqian. "Please take good care of my sister."
Nie Xiaoqian gently held Qin Wan'er’s hand and nodded seriously, “Don’t worry, I’ll be back early. Just make sure to stay safe.”
Qin Feng smiled and turned to leave.
Han Fu Zun noticed Qin Feng's extraordinary demeanor and asked curiously, “Nie, who is he? What’s your relationship with him?”
Nie Rong glanced at Han Fu Zun and replied softly, “He is Brother Qin’s son.”
Han Fu Zun was taken aback. “He’s grown up so much already.”
Nie Rong chuckled, “He’s from Qingshan Mansion, Jie Yuan. He surpasses his predecessors, haha.”
Han Fu Zun was momentarily stunned before expressing envy, “Then you’ve struck gold.”
After saying that, he shot a glance at Nie Xiaoqian, recalling her interaction with Qin Feng just moments ago.
Nie Rong smiled proudly, “What can I say? He is my son after all.”
Han Fu Zun's expression darkened as he turned to see his dazed brother Han Qing. Annoyed, he scolded, “Look at you! You’re not even a Jie Yuan; what good are you?”
Han Qing stared blankly at Han Fu Zun, confused about why he was angry again.
Nie Rong laughed heartily and patted Han Fu Zun on the shoulder. “Come on, this isn’t the place to train your son.”
Meanwhile, Qin Feng had arrived at a small grove outside the city.
He quickly spotted the Black Mountain Old Demon and the Black Python, walking over with an expression of calmness.
The Black Mountain Old Demon looked at Qin Feng with interest. “Aren’t you afraid?”
“Afraid of what?” Qin Feng replied, looking directly at the Black Mountain Old Demon.
“What a joke! Afraid? The Black Python is just like me. Do you believe I could take you down right here?”
