Qin Feng nodded nonchalantly. At that moment, Zhou Ziling had calmed down and accepted that Qin Feng was indeed a sword immortal. He couldn't help but frown and said, "Brother Qin, isn't the ox cart too slow? Why don't we ride horses instead?"
Zhu Fang quickly added, "I'll go borrow two horses from Fu Zun tonight. We can make a quick trip there and back."
Qin Feng shook his head. "We can set off right now and arrive by morning."
Zhou Ziling and the others were taken aback. Zhu Fang stepped forward anxiously and said, "Brother Qin, it's too dangerous at night. Let's leave in the morning instead."
Qin Feng extended his hand, and with a swift motion, his sword flew into his grasp. He looked at Zhu Fang and smiled, "I'm curious to see which demon would dare to cause trouble."
Seeing Qin Feng's confident demeanor and the sword in his hand, they were left speechless. Ning Caichen chuckled, "You guys don’t know this, but when we traveled to Qingshan Mansion, we often walked at night, and it was always safe."
Huang Xu had been staring at Qin Feng with flickering eyes and suddenly said, "I want to go too! I want to witness Brother Qin exorcising demons."
Zhou Ziling turned to Huang Xu in surprise and said with a wry smile, "If that's the case, it doesn't make much sense for me to stay here alone. I'll go as well."
Huang Xu exclaimed excitedly, "I'll go borrow horses from Fu Zun!" With that, he hurriedly ran outside.
Qin Feng watched Huang Xu's retreating figure, a hint of intrigue flashing in his eyes. Zhu Fang looked bewildered at everyone and asked, "Are you all going? What if..."
Ning Caichen stepped forward and patted Zhu Fang on the shoulder with a smile. "Don't worry, Zhu Xiong. I trust Brother Qin's strength."
Seeing that Qin Feng did not oppose the idea, Zhu Fang felt he couldn't say much more but was still quite moved.
At that moment, Old Fox returned. "I've prepared everything," he said hesitantly before adding in a low voice, "Do you want me to investigate a bit?"
Qin Feng's eyes flickered as he replied, "That would be good." He then turned to Zhu Fang and asked, "What is the name of your village?"
"Qing Shui Village," Zhu Fang quickly responded.
Old Fox nodded at Qin Feng before turning to leave.
Unbeknownst to them, Huang Xu had spoken with Fu Zun and managed to bring back four horses. Ning Caichen refused to ride a horse and simply sat down on the ox cart instead.
Zhou Ziling and the others mounted their horses with practiced ease while Qin Feng observed them for a moment longer.
They set off shortly after. At the city gate, Huang Xu took out a piece of paper and handed it to the guard. He had been thoughtful enough to ask Fu Zun for an exit permit.
With strange looks from the soldiers, they managed to leave the city. Zhou Ziling and the others had initially thought that the Ox Cart would be slow, so they deliberately slowed down their horses. However, they soon realized that the Ox Cart was actually quite fast, with Old Black Bull galloping as if it had taken a powerful tonic.
Qin Wan'er, having replenished her strength with essence, found the bumpy ride completely unaffected her; in fact, she felt even more energized. Zhou Ziling and the others dared not run too fast. Although they were on the Official Road, the surroundings were pitch dark, and there was always a chance that monsters could emerge at any moment.
They remained vigilant, watching their surroundings. After an unknown amount of time had passed, Qin Feng suddenly lifted his head and looked ahead.
"Stop!" he exclaimed sharply.
Zhou Ziling and the other three were startled and hurriedly pulled on their reins, nervously looking at Qin Feng.
"Brother Qin, what is it?" Zhu Fang asked with a trembling voice. The cold wind had sobered him up, and he anxiously glanced around.
Qin Feng sat in the cart and pointed ahead. "Listen."
