"Cough, I called you here to go to Dafeng Mountain." Qin Feng cleared his throat awkwardly and quickly changed the subject.
The little fox's expression changed. "Dafeng Mountain? No way!" Her face paled in fear. Wasn't that the territory of the Tiger King?
She trembled, despair evident in her eyes. Did he really think this was useless? Was he finally going to kill her?
Qin Feng looked at her expression with some confusion. "What are you afraid of? The Tiger King and those other monsters have already been killed by me."
The little fox froze, staring at Qin Feng in disbelief. "You killed them all?" Her throat felt dry.
Qin Feng smirked playfully. "Not all of them. I didn’t kill the Fox Demon inside; I just subdued it."
The little fox was taken aback, a look of confusion crossing her face. Why hadn’t he killed the fox?
Suddenly, her face flushed red. Could it be for her sake?
Thinking this, her eyes turned moist as she looked at Qin Feng with gratitude. "Thank you! They really have nothing to do with me!"
Qin Feng stared at the little fox, puzzled. What was she thinking? Why was she thanking him?
Perplexed, he shook his head. "That’s an Old Fox, a demon king. You need to meet him and quietly bring him back here."
There was no danger involved, and the little fox nodded eagerly. "Yes, I will definitely do it."
With that, she hurriedly left, reminding herself that she had things to take care of as well.
At Dafeng Mountain, the little fox quickly reached the foot of the mountain. She looked up at the dark and foreboding Dafeng Mountain, fear flashing in her eyes.
After hesitating for a moment, she finally darted inside.
The mountain wind howled as the little fox walked cautiously, keeping an eye on the rustling grass and trees around her.
Suddenly, an ancient voice rang out. "Oh? There really is a fox that has wandered into the mountain. Where do you come from?"
Startled, the little fox shrank back and looked up to see an old man leaning on a cane standing before her.
As the old man gazed at the little fox, his body trembled. "A Purple-eyed Fox!"
In an instant, he appeared right in front of her, greed gleaming in his eyes. "I can’t believe it! I never thought I would encounter a Purple-eyed Fox! How fortunate!"
The little fox was overwhelmed by his terrifying aura and fell to the ground without any strength to resist, fear etched on her face.
Suddenly, a thought struck her as she remembered why she had come. "You are the Old Fox! Let me go; it’s my master who sent me!"
The Old Fox paused for a moment before sneering. "Your master? I don’t know anyone like that."
He thought it was a trick by the little fox and didn't believe it at all. Besides, he really didn't know much about the matter.
The little fox became anxious and hurriedly asked, "Have you forgotten how Tiger King died?"
Old Fox froze for a moment. He had already received the news that Tiger King had died at Qingshan Mansion, taking down the people of Zhenbei Wang Heir with him.
He didn't believe it at all; after all, Tiger King had left with Black Snake. The most likely scenario was that Black Snake had killed Tiger King.
This thought terrified him. He was afraid that if Qin Feng returned after killing someone, he might end up being killed as well. He had been on edge ever since.
At that moment, his greed vanished, and he looked at the little fox on the ground with a mix of suspicion and uncertainty. "Who exactly are you?"
The little fox let out a sigh of relief, slowly getting up and stepping back a bit while watching Old Fox warily.
"Hmph, you said you would take me to see him." With Qin Feng backing her up, the little fox felt much less afraid and lifted her small head confidently.
Old Fox's eyes flickered for a moment. "The one you're talking about... is it a huge Black Snake?"
