After the airport incident, Lin Xinyue's heart felt like a stone was thrown into a lake, causing ripples that refused to settle.
It turned out that Liao Tiru had run away from his wedding eight years ago because he had fallen for someone else, a woman who was completely opposite to him.
Hmph, what was so great about her? All she did was cry and whine, and even when she mustered the courage to slap someone, she lacked any real conviction behind it.
Lin Xinyue instinctively touched her own face; it didn’t hurt anymore.
But when had she ever begged that scumbag Liao Tiru to come back to her? When had her parents ever knelt before the Liao family?
She, Lin Xinyue, was not the kind of person to be so humble!
Hmph, what nonsense was that Haruko spouting? It had to be all lies from Liao Tiru, that fickle man who just wanted to shake off that poor Haruko.
That woman was really foolish to fall for such a lowly man!
Yet, deep down, there was an indescribable feeling of unease within her. Was he really that kind of person? Why had she ever fallen for such a despicable guy?
Love?
Lin Xinyue felt as if she had been electrocuted, jolting upright from the sofa in shock. Hadn’t she already kicked him out of her heart? Wasn’t that why she hadn’t staged a dramatic revenge?
“Stop lying to yourself, Lin Xinyue; you just don’t have the guts to pursue him.”
A voice of contradiction suddenly emerged from within her, causing Lin Xinyue to panic. She muttered repeatedly, “This isn’t true; it’s not like that…”
“Recently, an idol-drama-like scene unfolded at the airport, causing quite a stir. As the main character of this incident—Liao Tiru—the producer is here with us today to explain the heart-wrenching story behind that day…”
Upon hearing “Liao Tiru,” Lin Xinyue’s gaze was immediately drawn to the television screen. There he was, with his sun-kissed handsome face and that infuriating charming smile, flirting around again.
Fuming, she glared at him on the screen as if he could feel her anger.
Of course, he couldn’t see her fury; he continued smiling and said, “Oh, that was a scene we planned—a spontaneous shoot that caused some trouble at XX Airport. I sincerely apologize for that. Now, let me talk about this new project…”
It turned out that all the talk about Haruko, kneeling, and changing hearts was just a performance, and she had been unwittingly drawn into this act!
Damn Liao Tiru, she had actually received a slap for real, and it was merely part of their staged drama!
Fire — Big —
“Liao — Tiru!” A furious woman, unable to contain her anger, shouted as she burst through the door, storming into the Liao Family with a fierce determination, yelling, “I’ll kill you!”
“It’s Xiaoyue! Tiru is upstairs,” mother Liao said kindly while watering the flowers in the yard. Suddenly recalling something, she hurriedly pulled out her phone and said, “Old man, come back quickly; something big is happening at home…”
In the bedroom, “Revenge”
The so-called big event —
Lin Xinyue stormed in with rage but found Liao Tiru sleeping like a dead pig.
She narrowed her eyes like a small beast ready to pounce, taking two slow steps forward while fixating on his handsome face.
She had to admit that his features were well-defined, and his tanned skin gave him a strong masculine appeal. However, the dark circles under his eyes were so pronounced that even someone as oblivious as her could easily notice; it seemed he hadn’t slept well for many days.
Sigh, it looks like being a producer isn’t that easy after all…
Hmph, what’s so sympathetic about him? What right does he have to make her feel sorry for him? He knew she wouldn’t act in the play yet still deliberately set her up; she wouldn’t let him off the hook so easily.
An idea struck Lin Xinyue. She took off her stockings and carefully lifted his arm, binding it to the sides of the bed with the stockings. Then she found a pen in the room and neatly wrote a character on his forehead — “Yue”.
That’s right, it represented her “Yue.” As for why this character… she didn’t think too much about it.
Next, she drew an intricate heart on the tip of his nose. Then…
She suddenly yanked off the covers.
“Ah —” Lin Xinyue instinctively closed her eyes and screamed, not expecting him to be sleeping naked!
She was only bare from the waist up, nothing to make a fuss about, but her shouting still startled Liao Tiru from his sleep.
"Lin Xinyue, what are you doing?" Liao Tiru opened his eyes groggily and, upon seeing Lin Xinyue standing at the foot of the bed, felt an unsettling premonition rise within him.
"Oh, nothing much, just filming a scene. Please cooperate with the actor," she said, feigning calmness as she playfully patted his face. Watching him struggle, she found it inexplicably amusing.
It had to be said that he had a great physique; it was clear he worked out regularly. Lin Xinyue squatted down, staring intently at his bare torso, making Liao Tiru feel uneasy. He had no idea what she was going to do next.
"You want to tie me up?" He widened his eyes in surprise, disbelief written all over his face.
"My talent for drawing isn't very high, but I can still manage to make people guess what I'm depicting. If you don't believe me, you can give it a try," Lin Xinyue said as she squatted down and began to draw on his bare skin.
"Do you prefer strawberries or cherries?" she asked with a serious expression.
"I don't like either..." Liao Tiru replied irritably.
"Strawberries it is then; I like them," she decided for herself and began to draw with great enthusiasm.
After a while, she stood up, tilted her head to examine her work, and said with satisfaction, "Looks quite vivid; I'm very pleased. Let's take a picture."
Lin Xinyue took out her phone and snapped a photo with a click.
