The streets were deserted; after all, the Old City was not a suitable place for living. Lin Han stood on the ancient road, occasionally glancing back at the alley behind him. For some reason, he felt an unusual gaze fixed upon him.
At that moment, a tattered beggar appeared by his side, staring at him with dim eyes. Lin Han felt a twinge of compassion and rummaged through his pockets, but found nothing suitable to give. Resolutely, he turned to leave.

"Hahaha! Hehe!" The beggar erupted into wild laughter. Surprisingly, his hunched body seemed unaffected by Lin Han's punch.
"With my current strength, I should be able to deliver an attack comparable to a Beast level. How could it have no effect?" Lin Han thought as he began to channel his energy.
He had suspected for some time that in such a desolate place like the Old City, it was strange for any beggar to survive here.
At that moment, he received a system notification:

His guess had been correct! Lin Han exclaimed in surprise and concentrated to unleash another punch.
"Hahaha! Hahaha!" The Old Beggar continued to laugh brightly before suddenly becoming ethereal, creating a significant distance between himself and Lin Han in an instant.
"You can't escape!" Lin Han snorted coldly and summoned the Blazing Fire Qilin from the Beast Space.
With a thunderous roar, the Blazing Fire Qilin appeared behind the Old Beggar in just a few leaps. Lin Han activated the Zao Zhi Yan to check the Old Beggar's basic attributes, and the results startled him:

Lin Han was momentarily stunned; he recognized the magical array on the beggar’s body all too well—it was indeed a conventional magic array for entering the vice!
Suddenly, he understood the connection: this Old Beggar was the embodiment of the entire Chaotic Ruins!
