The Dark Black Tortoise roared!
On the surface of the water, the Dark Black Tortoise unleashed a torrent of water as thick as a barrel, piercing through the calm surface and plunging deep below, revealing a hint of crimson.
Soon, a layer of eerie light began to glow on the water's surface.
Lin Han felt a surge of joy; he had triggered the Xuanming characteristic with a single strike.
Everyone took notice, focusing their attacks on the spot where the light emanated from; it had been marked.
Lin Han signaled, and Han Fei was the first to launch an assault. The Dragon Sparrow soared high above, letting out a long cry that echoed through the air as fiery chains spun rapidly and plunged into the water.
"We've got it!" Han Fei exclaimed, but then he saw the Dragon Sparrow suddenly halt in midair before plummeting toward the water's surface.
"Dark Black Tortoise, help!" Lin Han shouted, sensing the impending danger.
The Dark Black Tortoise's serpentine eyes opened wide as it unleashed a vast expanse of dark chaos to envelop the falling Dragon Sparrow. The fiery chains, along with their immense pulling force, were consumed by the emerging darkness.
Before Lin Han could give further orders, the dim glow on the water intensified. Gradually, something began to rise from beneath the surface—a massive fish head with fearsome teeth and an unsettling appearance.
Its dorsal fin extended all the way down to its lower back, and its arms were covered in blue scales that looked particularly menacing. Scorched patches were visible on its body; these were likely remnants from when the Dragon Sparrow had unleashed its Long Yan chains.
Wu Lu!
As the creature let out a deafening roar, its entire form slowly emerged from the depths. It was a gigantic Fishman towering at least two men high. Compared to ordinary Fishmen, this one resembled a robust giant rather than just another Fishman.
Atop its head rested an unknown sea creature serving as a crown, and in its hands was a rusted trident.
This was a Fishman King, mutated and terrifyingly larger than any normal Fishman King—its size was dozens of times greater.
Accompanied by another roar from the Fishman, countless smaller Fishmen began to leap from the shattered surface of the water, each one brandishing crude spears and bows as if they had found their purpose.
"Focus fire on this giant; deal with these smaller ones!" Lin Han commanded. He leaped forward to shield his companions. Zhou Qingqing furrowed her brow; facing this projected Fishman King made her feel uneasy.
At that moment, Qian Yixuan suddenly lifted his head and looked towards Lin Han and the others, smiling as he spoke.
"Alright, let's add some difficulty."
As Qian Yixuan said this, he raised his palm, and a stream of light flickered within it. It was a die, translucent and sparkling, making his palm appear like an exquisitely crafted ornament.
At the same time, a massive die projection, measuring at least one square meter, materialized above their heads. Xue Wushuang immediately turned to Qian Yixuan.
"What are you up to?"
"Let’s place a bet," Qian Yixuan replied with a grin as he tossed the crystal die into the air. The die spun away from his palm, and the giant Dice Projection above began to blur.
When the die landed on the ground, it showed a perfectly clear character pattern that stood out prominently, mirrored by the projection above.
"Your luck is really terrible," Xue Wushuang teased.
However, Qian Yixuan appeared unfazed and produced another item from his hand.
"Reset activated."
The item in his palm shattered into countless sparkling fragments, and they soon saw the die on the ground begin to spin once more, revealing its face again.
The others were puzzled by Qian Yixuan's series of mysterious actions but had no time to think too much about it. Lin Han and Zhou Qingqing moved forward.
