During their previous battles, he had always felt something strange yet familiar about the Beast Mastery of those two. Finally, it dawned on him; they had stimulated their Beast Mastery to unleash energy, just as he had witnessed with the dark power in the Ruins City!
With this thought in mind, Lin Han immediately devised a plan. The Dark Black Tortoise's skill, Dark Domain, was precisely the nemesis of creatures infused with dark energy. Moreover, the dark power of these two was exceedingly weak; within the Dark Domain, it would be easy for the Dark Black Tortoise to control them.
If this idea could be realized, capturing them alive would be a simple task for Lin Han! After issuing his command, the Dark Black Tortoise focused its consciousness and traversed through the Dark Domain until it stood before the two individuals.
Under the amplification of the Dark Domain, the consciousness of the Dark Black Tortoise grew tenfold, resembling a fierce tiger ready to pounce. The two individuals, oppressed by the Dark Domain, felt like lambs awaiting slaughter. Moments later, they completely lost consciousness.
The Dark Black Tortoise successfully transmitted this information back to Lin Han, who immediately broke into a smile. Next, he would focus on eliminating the Fire Spirit Squad entirely!
The battle that followed was overwhelmingly one-sided. Although these naturally born Fire Element beasts had some resistance against the Dark Domain, their overall strength was significantly diminished. Furthermore, without coordination among their squad members, it became even easier for Lin Han to deal with them.
With one person and two beasts attacking separately, he resolved all of them in just five minutes. After collecting the fallen Fire Spirits, Lin Han slowly approached the two mysterious individuals.
As they drew closer, Lin Han sensed that the dark power emanating from them was even more intense and pronounced.
"Could these two have come after me because of the news from the Ruins City?" Lin Han speculated. Recently, the only encounters he had regarding dark power were related to the mission in the Ruins City.
Without further speculation, Lin Han directly inquired about their intentions. Within the Dark Domain, the ability to control the Xuanwu varied depending on the strength of the opponent's dark power. The two before him exhibited a faint dark energy, allowing the Xuanwu to nearly fully control them.
"Who are you, and why are you trying to kill me?" Lin Han asked.
The Dark Black Tortoise also guided him with its consciousness as one of the individuals spoke up: "We are from the Azure Abyss, sent by Lord Dark to seize the Source of Darkness from you!"
"Azure Abyss? Dark Lord? Source of Darkness?"
Their brief statements answered two of his questions, yet these unfamiliar terms left Lin Han puzzled. Was Azure Abyss a mysterious force? And what about Dark Lord—sounded like a leader of this organization.
The idea that they wanted to take the Source of Darkness from him was something he had never heard of before. Did I miss something while in Ruins City? Lin Han couldn't help but wonder.
He had never encountered such a thing. "What is the Source of Darkness?" Lin Han asked directly.
"I don't know."
