The receptionist began to operate the console to check availability. "Currently, all rooms are occupied, so please wait for a while," she said apologetically.
Lin Han readily agreed.
At that moment, quite a few people had gathered in the hall, and some familiar faces began to strike up conversations with Lin Han.
"Did you complete your mission?"
"Yes," Lin Han nodded in response.
"Where did you go for the mission?" the other person asked.
"Starfire Forest."
Lin Han didn’t hide it; it wasn’t a big deal, and knowing wouldn’t affect him in any way.
"What? You completed a mission in Starfire Forest?" Suddenly, the person opposite him exclaimed, as if he had heard something he shouldn’t have.
"Is there a problem with Starfire Forest?" Lin Han was taken aback. "Is there something extraordinary about it?"
"You don’t know?"
"I heard that yesterday, the ferocious beasts in Starfire Forest went insane, and even the Golden Starfire Bear King was capturing anything it could get its paws on, regardless of whether they were male or female," the man gestured dramatically, his face displaying a strange expression.
"What?!" Lin Han was stunned!
How could news spread so quickly? He asked, "How did you find out?"
"This has been circulating outside for a while now. You know how it is—juicy gossip spreads the fastest!" The man gave him a knowing look.
"Ah, I wasn’t aware of that!" Lin Han replied. "When I went to Starfire Forest, everything seemed normal; I didn’t encounter any danger!"
Lin Han shook his head.
How could he possibly admit to this? What would the outside world think of him then?
"What a pity!"
He had heard that a squad had gone leveling up yesterday and had witnessed these events firsthand. One of the members had nearly been captured by the Starfire Bear King. If that had happened, he couldn't even imagine the consequences.
It was said that not only the Starfire Bear King, but also the Starfire Wolf Clan and the Starfire Tiger Tribe, along with various Silver-Ranked Beasts, had gone berserk, attacking anything in sight!
No one knew what was happening in the Starfire Forest.
The man appeared curious, looking somewhat disappointed that he hadn't seen it all unfold himself.
Lin Han stood awkwardly to the side; he was the instigator of it all, and the Starfire Bear King had even chased after him!
He heard that there was something in the Starfire Forest called Xing Ling Cao. Do you think it could be the reason for all this?

He planned to fabricate a rumor, hoping to shift public opinion away from the truth.
"Impossible!"
To his surprise, the man outright rejected him.
"I've heard about Xing Ling Cao too, but it's very rare. There can't be that much of it, and besides, its effects are too exaggerated."
For a moment, Lin Han didn't know what to say.
Just then, Lin Xian appeared. "There’s a room ready; please follow me!"
The receptionist stepped forward.
"Great!"
Lin Han sighed in relief and hurriedly followed the receptionist out.
