Su Ye nodded gracefully, feeling a bit bored after waking up, and decided to join the lively scene.
Seeing the two still exchanging pleasantries, Yun Zhi Yue couldn't hold back any longer. "What’s your name? How old are you? Are you male or female? Do you have a Dao Companion?"
Yun Shijiu covered his face, thinking that his sister had definitely lost her mind.
Ji Wei looked at Yun Zhi Yue, a smile spreading across his face that made the surroundings pale in comparison. "You can't tell my gender and yet you ask such questions. Could it be that you are open to both?"
Yun Zhi Yue chuckled, "Don't overthink it. I’m just curious about your looks. I was worried that if you have a Dao Companion, I might offend them, so I wanted to ask first."
Ji Wei extended a hand that could rival any comic book character's beauty. "I’m single."
Yun Zhi Yue immediately took his hand and leaned in to touch the soft fabric covering his chest. "If you're a man, I can't see your cultivation level. Are you Ji Wei from the Tian Hu Clan?"
"Yes."
Yun Zhi Yue laughed lightly, "How long has it been? You’re a bit older now, but your face makes up for everything. What a pity we didn’t meet earlier."
"If you had met me when you were younger, would you still have liked the Heavenly Emperor?"
Ji Wei's words made Yun Zhi Yue's smile freeze; he had hit the nail on the head with that remark.
Su Ye laughed out loud and teased, "I told you this girl is foolish; it’s not an exaggeration. Do you want to play tricks with an old fox?"
Yun Zhi Yue was taken aback. "Emperor, this isn’t right! The Ji Wei Clan leader in front of you is clearly a young man!"
Qiu Yu weakly clung to her Shaozongzhang, thinking how bold Yun Zhi Yue was!
Su Ye smiled gently and ruffled Yun Zhi Yue's hair. "You child, still so bad with words. You like young men, huh? Ben Jun will surely take care of you."
Yun Zhi Yue cursed herself for her loose tongue and quickly replied, "No need! Emperor, you're the most handsome; your charm hasn’t faded over the years!"
Silence fell as a small green sprout clung to Ji Wei's collar, curling its leaves in shyness.
Yun Shijiu's eyes widened; this was his sister's true form, and it was his first time seeing it.
It was only palm-sized, entirely green and resembling jade glass. The leaves were plump and looked very much like succulent plants from the mortal realm.
But strangely enough, despite its tender color, it emitted not vitality but a strong Yin Power.
Upon closer inspection, one could see that at the root where the green succulent merged with Ji Wei’s collar, there were pure black veins hidden within.
Su Ye's gaze deepened as he reached out to touch the stem.
The little grass shook and hid itself in Ji Wei's chest, displeased as it said, "Emperor, is it the behavior of a gentleman to act so lewdly?"
Su Ye scoffed, "A worthless piece of grass, why would I bother to touch it? It's dull." He flicked his sleeves and strode into the Celestial Fox Clan's grounds.
Ji Wei glanced at Su Ye's fingers, which were corroded and broken but blinked back to normal. A look of astonishment flashed in his eyes.
Even Tai Chu Zhi Ling shouldn't be...
The grand competition was about to begin, with Su Ye Emperor occupying the high seat. Ji Wei sat beside him, while the one presiding over the event was Tianhu Elder, verifying the participants.
No clan could have more than ten representatives, and Han She Clan was also present, waiting for verification.
