Feng Ling was puzzled. "It's just a Sixth Level Ability. Why would we be afraid of an Eighth Level?"
What they didn't know was that while Tu Long's ability wasn't particularly impressive, the location he occupied was a Post-Apocalyptic Armory. It was likely that some important research was being conducted there, especially since the military was stationed nearby. No matter how powerful an ability might be, humans were still flesh and blood. Could they withstand bullets? What about bombs? Moreover, they had more than just bombs; they had heavy weaponry as well.
Hearing this, Feng Ling and the others grew solemn. If they attempted to rescue someone, conflict was inevitable. Wouldn't they become targets?
Shen Xingchuan suddenly asked, "How did you see that girl being captured? When did you see it?"
Even though Sun was a Zombie, his expression was quite strange at that moment. He recalled seeing two girls who referred to each other as sisters earlier that morning. Feng Ling tried to analyze the situation. "Could it be that Ye Yao protected Miss Yun from Ling Xue's attack and got seriously injured? Maybe Miss Yun couldn't hold back her compassion and let her feelings overwhelm her. But that's not right; she should have informed the captain about it days ago."
Wen Yu reminded them while driving, "Wasn't it said that there was an Eighth Level Earth Ability involved that day? Perhaps she was coerced."
Feng Ling sighed in relief. "I almost forgot about that. We need to hurry; we can't let them take advantage of us. The captain will go crazy otherwise."
Right now, saving people was the priority. As for Wei Shi's Injection Solution, they could settle that score later.
The group worried about Yun Zhi Yue's safety, unaware that she was currently plotting how to take down Tu Long entirely.
She truly had been forced into this situation; Ye Yao had been injured by falling debris and infected as a result. They weren't in a supermarket where they could find Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drugs for treatment; they could only seek out a Healing Ability.
Coincidentally, Ye Zhi knew that there was someone with such an ability near Tu Long. Although he was an Eighth Level Zombie, that didn't mean he wasn't afraid of firearms. If things escalated, his sister might not receive any treatment at all.
Thus, Yun Zhi Yue devised a plan: one would play the tough role while the other would act sympathetic.
Ye Zhi would pressure her while Ye Yao pleaded for mercy, claiming that saving a life was worth more than building a Seven Levels pagoda. She volunteered to save Miss Yun.
The act put on by the siblings concluded successfully; what more could she say? She might as well join in their performance.
Upon hearing rumors about Tu Long's lecherous nature, she decided to position herself strategically without needing to say much.
Ye Yao was indeed seriously injured; when she entered Tu Long's domain, she had been so dazed from fever that if she wasn't rescued soon, she might truly die.
Tu Long noticed Yun Zhi Yue's beauty and realized she lacked any abilities while her sister only had a Third Level Wood Ability. He immediately ordered treatment for Ye Yao and even attempted to maintain his composure.
He claimed her sister's condition was stable but decided to keep her confined in the house for now, likely fearing her unknown background and potential ulterior motives.
Yun Zhi Yue had no ulterior motives; she had her eyes set on the ammunition in this place. She could easily take it to the supermarket and sell it, which was far better than wasting it here on these worthless individuals.
Calculating the time, she realized there were only a few hours left before the supermarket would disappear. If she didn't respond, the supermarket would definitely come after her. Although they appeared indifferent on the surface, that would be the perfect moment to reap the benefits.
Suddenly, the ground cracked open, and a masked figure emerged: "My sister has already been treated; we can move at any time."
