As various thoughts swirled among the crowd, Yu Yu entered the classroom, and everyone immediately lowered their heads in respect, bringing silence to the room. Only from the podium came occasional sighs of despair, making one wonder if there was a funeral at Hu Jin's home.
In just over ten minutes, another wave of Pureblood authority emerged within the academy, causing everyone to sit up straight as they heard numerous footsteps approaching from the corridor. The classroom door opened on its own without a breeze, and Zhi Yue Fei Ying entered wearing the Night Class uniform, followed by several others.
With a polite smile, she greeted, "Hu Jin, I'm back to report in. Oh, and I've brought some new classmates."
Hu Jin frowned and replied, "Just sit down when you arrive. Seeing you makes me feel uncomfortable all over."
"What kind of attitude is that?" protested one of the bloodsuckers from the Higan Sakura Clan behind her.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying interjected, "If you're here to study, then act like it. Don't you understand the importance of respecting your teachers? Go sit down properly."
The members of the Higan Sakura Clan quickly took their seats. Zhi Yue Fei Ying did not pay attention to Yu Yu, whose gaze was fixed on her.
Accompanied by Jing You from the Night Class and her subordinate Morei Xufang, Zhi Yue Fei Ying casually chose a row to sit in. Morei Xufang lifted Zhi Yue Fei Ying's long hair as she settled down, ensuring it wouldn’t get caught beneath her.
He opened a book on her desk for her before finally taking his seat to read his own. Zhi Yue Fei Ying adapted well, while Jing You couldn't help but twitch at the corners of his mouth.
This bloodsucker seemed to have a strange mindset; he was a die-hard supporter of Shen Le Qi. After Shen Le Qi was killed by Yun Zhi Yue, one would expect him to seek revenge. Yet Morei Xufang came to Higan Sakura Clan after the battle and pledged allegiance to Yun Zhi Yue.
He claimed that when Lord Shen Le Qi passed away, he felt joy—only Yun Zhi Yue could achieve such a thing. Yun Zhi Yue inherited Shen Le Qi's power; that was a continuation of their lord's legacy, and Morei Xufang vowed to serve faithfully until death.
Jing You and Liu Shang Fei Ying were both bewildered by this line of reasoning. However, Yun Zhi Yue seemed to understand Morei Xufang's thoughts and accepted his loyalty.
Regarding his actions, the leader of Xu Fang Clan expressed agreement; after Shen Le Qi's disappearance, Xu Fang Clan lost its support and understood that they needed to look forward. Thus, Yun Zhi Yue gained the Xu Fang Clan as allies—this was the first Vampire Clan to align with her.
The vampires were equally bewildered. Wasn't Morei Xufang a die-hard fan of Shen Le Qi? How did he end up involved with Zhi Yue Fei Ying, especially with such a sycophantic attitude? They couldn't make sense of it.
Natsuki Watanabe muttered softly, "Such overwhelming charm."
As the two sides subtly confronted each other, Hu Jin scratched his bald head. He took out a piece of paper and said, "Due to the influx of many new students this semester, the Dean has customized a special course for you all. The classes will mostly consist of group activities to help you get along better. Let's kick things off with a Tug-of-War Competition."
Everyone gathered to draw lots, dividing into teams based on odd and even numbers. They would head to the playground for the competition shortly.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying perked up at the mention of the Tug-of-War Competition. Vampires competing in strength? Now that was intriguing. With a glance, she signaled her companions to obediently draw lots. As she stood up, Yu Yu closely followed her, even squeezing out Jing You from his spot beside her.
