It wasn't an illness, but it certainly seemed like a hassle. Yuhun Gu concluded as he gazed at her.
Anjie Ryougu chuckled, "You've only been at Rose Academy for a short time, and already trouble keeps piling up. You should hurry and leave the Higan Sakura Clan while the adults aren't angry."
Zhi Yue Fei Ying shot back, "If anyone should leave, it's you, you defeated loser."
Anjie Ryougu's face turned a shade of green. He knew he couldn't win in a fight, but he couldn't let his words falter either, so he retorted fiercely.
Yuhun Gu's eyes flashed with impatience. "Since you two seem to get along well, why don't you complete the purification mission assigned by the Dean? Get on it immediately."
A gilded card flew through the air, and Anjie Ryougu quickly caught it. It contained details about their current mission.
Under the teasing gazes of everyone around them, the two were left alone, staring at each other in silence. They were both being equally ridiculed.
After exchanging some more barbs, they knew they still had a task to accomplish. The so-called purification involved exterminating Fallen Vampires.
These creatures were irrational and would bite anyone they encountered until they drained their blood completely. Fallen Vampires typically originated from humans who had been drained by vampires and subsequently mutated.
Normally, being drained by a vampire wouldn’t lead to mutation unless the vampire intentionally left behind foreign genes to alter the human body, which would cause immense suffering for the victim. However, those who successfully mutated would become fanatically loyal to their vampire creators, even if they lost their sanity.
Some lower-tier vampires relied on this method to create subordinates and expand their influence.
The mission location was on Noble Island, not far from the academy. Recently, law enforcement had reported finding corpses with multiple neck wounds from which blood had been drained, leading to an alert being raised by the Blood Hunt Association.
Such blatant crimes were clearly the work of Fallen Vampires and weren't considered major incidents; similar cases occurred all over the country. Since this particular case was close to Rose Academy, they were expected to handle it themselves.
The strikingly attractive duo appeared on the streets of Guiyu, their demeanor devoid of any flirtation; instead, their presence clashed like opposing forces.
They set off with a plan to regroup after a day to see who could hunt more and take photos for proof. Anjie Ryougu issued the challenge.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying initially intended to ignore him but suddenly had a thought. With an air of arrogance, she tilted her chin slightly before vanishing into thin air.
Anjie Ryougu sneered; he found her increasingly irritating.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying lingered in the shadows of the city and didn’t rush into purging the Fallen Vampires just yet; she wanted to contact the Himakura Clan first.
She glanced around the academy and noted that there were currently no suspicious individuals present. Given his twisted nature, Yun Zhi Yue wouldn’t easily give up.
She was anxious; every time she took on a mission, there was always some interference. Who could stand it? She needed to know in advance who it would be so she could prepare herself mentally.
As expected, he would definitely be lurking around her. If he wasn't at the academy, then he must be with the Vampire Clan.
Thinking of the Higan Sakura Clan pledging loyalty to another Pureblood Lord, Zhi Yue Fei Ying shuddered. Please, not that!
Not lingering in the shadows for long, a black bat flew over. Yun Zhi Yue took the bat to a secluded spot.
She bit her finger and fed the bat her fresh blood. Moments later, a mature and pleasant male voice emerged from the bat's mouth.
"Yun Zhi Yue? I have something to ask you. I have never seen Lord Shen Le Qi; is he within our Vampire Clan?"
"Hiss! Why are you asking about that? Has Yuhun Gu realized you are Jian Xi? No, wait, how are you still alive?"
