She suddenly looked up at Alice.
“Alice, what did you say earlier about the person from Hongmen who is coming to collect debts? What do they look like?” Mary asked, gripping Alice's arm in a flustered manner.
“Just an ordinary-looking Hua Xia young man,” Alice replied.
“What's his name?” Mary inquired.
“I don't know that. My grandfather didn't tell us. Sister Mary, you don't think that the Huaxia person in my family is the same Mr. Jiang who killed your master, do you?” Alice asked, increasingly astonished.
“It's possible,” Mary said, her worry growing. She had witnessed Jiang Chen's strength firsthand. After returning from Huaxia last year, she hoped Hongmen would offer ten million dollars to Jiang Chen, but they wouldn't let her handle it. Now, more than half a year had passed without any news, and Mary thought everything was fine, but it seemed she had been too optimistic.
“Really? The Huaxia person in my family seems like an ordinary person to me; there's nothing special about him,” Alice said skeptically.
“If he doesn't take action, he does seem like an ordinary person. I hope my guess is wrong,” Mary said, her face clouded with concern that wouldn't dissipate.
“I just don't think it can be that coincidental. Even if it is that person, he killed our Hongmen elder; we won't hold a grudge against him for that. If he were in Huaxia, we might have trouble dealing with him, but here in the United States, this is our territory. Are we really afraid of him?” White frowned and remarked.
“That’s true,” Mary nodded. Jiang Chen's strength was indeed formidable, but Hongmen was a massive entity that one person couldn't shake.
“Honestly, I hope it is that Jiang guy. If he dares to come this time, we’ll let him come and go without return. Also, I don’t believe he’s really a young man; he must have used some trick to appear younger. The disguise techniques from Huaxia are said to be very powerful; who knows, beneath that facade could be an old man’s face,” White said boldly.
“Brother White, I think we should prepare in advance; that person's strength is truly terrifying,” Mary advised.
“No need for that. My master lives in a den of dragons and tigers; no matter how powerful he is, once he enters, he’ll have to bow down,” White replied confidently.
“Well then,” Mary felt slightly relieved.
After chatting for a while longer, the three went their separate ways. Alice's mood suddenly became complicated as she returned home.
After hesitating for a long time, she ultimately decided to seek out her grandfather.
“Grandpa, can I ask you something? Is your master named Jiang?” Alice asked.
“How do you know?” Jon Delson's expression darkened as he became serious; anything related to Jiang Chen was of utmost importance to him and could not be taken lightly.
Alice sensed the gravity of the situation but had promised Mary not to tell anyone else about it.
“What are you hiding from me? Speak up!” Jon Delson's tone grew stern.
In the end, Alice obediently recounted her conversation with Mary at the bar earlier.
Hearing the whole story, Jon Delson's expression relaxed. Jiang Chen didn't even regard the Undying Dragon Clan, let alone Hongmen. Compared to the Undying Dragon Clan, Hongmen was hardly worth mentioning; after all, they were just humans, nothing to be afraid of.
