The sudden appearance of the man in white brought the entire battlefield to a brief standstill. Chu Sheng hid in the corner, holding his breath, afraid of being discovered. His mind raced, trying to comprehend the situation before him.
"Save him?" The man in black sneered, "Do you know who he is?"
The man in white smiled calmly, "Does it matter whether I know or not?"
Before his words had even faded, the man in white lunged at the man in black like a specter. The two clashed instantly, a whirlwind of energy erupting around them. Chu Sheng could only see a blur, unable to make out their movements.
"What the hell is this speed?" Chu Sheng cursed inwardly, stunned into silence by the scene unfolding before him.
At that moment, a sharp pain suddenly erupted from within Chu Sheng. He gritted his teeth, enduring the agony without a sound. However, as the pain intensified, his consciousness began to fade.
"No, I can't pass out here!" Chu Sheng struggled desperately, but ultimately succumbed to the overwhelming force. Darkness enveloped him as he lost awareness.
Time passed—how long, he could not tell—before Chu Sheng slowly opened his eyes. All he saw was pitch blackness, with only the faint glow of the Merit Book flickering in the dark.
"This is... the Merit Book?" Chu Sheng's heart raced as he realized he was in a peculiar space.
The light from the Merit Book grew brighter, as if countless stars were twinkling within it. Chu Sheng felt a warm energy continuously flowing into his body.
"This... is it repairing my injuries?" Chu Sheng was astonished to find that his wounds were visibly healing at an incredible rate.
As his injuries mended, he sensed a rapid surge of power within him. It felt like a parched riverbed suddenly flooded with rushing water, stirring up waves of excitement within him.
"This feeling... could it be that I'm about to break through?" A surge of joy filled Chu Sheng's heart as he quickly sat cross-legged and began to circulate his energy.
As he activated his cultivation technique, Chu Sheng felt the power within him coalescing steadily. He was on the brink of advancing from the peak of the Second Rank Boat Realm to the Third Rank Ship Realm—just one final push away.
"Now's the time!" Chu Sheng roared internally as he summoned all his strength.
"Boom!"
It felt as if some barrier had been broken through, and Chu Sheng could only sense a tremendous force surging into his limbs and bones. His realm had finally broken through to the Third Rank Ship Realm!
At that moment, the Merit Book suddenly erupted with a dazzling light. Chu Sheng felt a peculiar power merging into his body.

As the breakthrough completed, Chu Sheng slowly opened his eyes. He found himself lying on a soft bed, with Lin Yue sitting beside him, her face filled with concern.
"Chu Sheng, you finally woke up!" Lin Yue exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down her face upon seeing him open his eyes.
Chu Sheng smiled gently. "I'm fine, don't worry." As he spoke, he sat up and stretched his muscles.
Lin Yue looked at him in astonishment. "You... how did your aura become so powerful?"
Chu Sheng did not answer directly but closed his eyes, feeling the surging power within him. After breaking through to the Third Rank Ship Realm, he felt that his strength had at least tripled. What excited him even more was that the newly awakened Ability seemed incredibly powerful.
"Lin Yue, I’ve broken through," Chu Sheng said as he opened his eyes, confidence shining in them.
Lin Yue's eyes widened in disbelief. "Breakthrough? You mean... Third Rank Ship Realm?"
Chu Sheng nodded. "Not only that, but I've also awakened a new Ability."
Lin Yue gasped in shock. "How... how is this possible? You were unconscious for just two days; how could you have such a significant improvement?"
Chu Sheng smiled without answering; he certainly couldn't tell Lin Yue about the Merit Book.
"By the way, what happened that night afterward?" Chu Sheng shifted the topic and asked.
Lin Yue sighed, "That man in white is too strong; he easily repelled the man in black. However, Night Owl took advantage of the chaos to escape, and we still don't know his whereabouts."
Chu Sheng frowned, "Night Owl escaped? It seems the trouble with Heishan sect isn't over yet."
Lin Yue nodded, "Yes, we are currently searching for Night Owl's location with all our might. By the way, Chu Sheng, how are you feeling now?"
Chu Sheng moved his body a bit, "I feel great, better than ever." As he spoke, he stood up. "I want to test my current strength."
Lin Yue quickly stopped him, "Don't be reckless; you just woke up..."

At that moment, a burly man stepped forward.

The man snorted, "Kid, don't think that just because you've broken through to the Third Rank, you can act arrogantly. Today, I'll show you just how vast the gap is between Fourth Rank and Third Rank!"
A slight smile appeared on Chu Sheng's lips. "Is that so? Then let's see what you've got."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chu Sheng vanished from his spot. The man was taken aback and quickly looked around.
"Right here."
The man turned sharply, only to find Chu Sheng had somehow appeared behind him.
"What... what kind of speed is this?" The man staggered back in shock.
Chu Sheng didn't give him a chance to react and instantly closed the distance. He threw a punch, accompanied by a whistling gust of wind.
The man barely raised his arms to defend himself, but he was still forced to stagger back from the impact of the punch.
"How is this possible? Your strength..." The man couldn't believe his own sensations.
Chu Sheng remained silent and vanished from sight once more. Just as the man prepared himself for another attack, he felt a sharp pain in his back and was sent flying.
"Bang!"
He crashed heavily to the ground, struggling for a moment but unable to get back up.
The arena fell into complete silence, everyone stunned into speechlessness by the scene before them.
A kid who had just broken through to Third Rank had effortlessly defeated a Fourth Rank expert? This completely shattered their understanding!
Chu Sheng scanned the crowd and said coolly, "Is there anyone else who wants to give it a try?"
No one dared to respond.
At that moment, a familiar voice broke through the tension.
"Chu Sheng, stop messing around."
Chu Sheng turned to see Lin Yue standing at the edge of the arena, an exasperated expression on her face.
"Lin Yue, you made it!" Chu Sheng smiled as he walked toward her.
Lin Yue sighed, "Can’t you just take a break for once?"
Chu Sheng shrugged, "I just wanted to test my strength."
Lin Yue shook his head. "Alright, follow me. There's a task that requires your involvement."
Chu Sheng's eyes lit up. "What task?"
Lin Yue smiled mysteriously. "You'll find out when we get there."
As they walked away, the others in the training ground remained in shock.
