Wang Yuhan smiled faintly, a glimmer of wisdom in his eyes, and confidently declared, "I can't guarantee anything about others, but as for him, I am absolutely certain he won't be flaunting it around." 0

"Are you that sure?" Zhu Hui furrowed her brows, her thoughts lingering on Yang Qianfan's character. 0

Wang Yuhan nodded with a smile. 0

Zhu Hui pondered for a moment, her heart tangled with doubts. However, considering how much help Wang Yuhan had given her in the past, it seemed unreasonable to refuse even this one request. With a grateful mindset, she agreed and asked, "How do you want me to perform in this play?" 0

"Come to the apartment where I currently live." 0

"What do you need me there for?" 0

"To act out the first scene of this play." Suddenly, he remembered something and added, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, I'm currently living with Yang Qianfan." 0

"What? You're living with that Male Goat?" 0

Wang Yuhan nodded again. 0

"Then you're practically living in a sheep pen," Zhu Hui remarked, unable to suppress her sympathy for him. She frowned and sighed, "With that goat smell clinging to him—oh dear, you really are unfortunate!" 0

Upon hearing this, Wang Yuhan's expression darkened as he asked: 0

"Then you should still remember the way to the sheep pen, right?" 0

Zhu Hui felt a tightening in her chest at his question, the events from last year at Yang Qianfan's apartment still fresh in her mind. "You... you want me to pretend to be a couple with you in front of him..." 0

"Exactly! You need to act convincingly!" 0

"How do I act? I've never been in a relationship," Zhu Hui said, letting out a troubled sigh. 0

Wang Yuhan pretended to think deeply and joked, "It's simple. Just hold hands, wrap an arm around the waist, maybe even kiss." The moment Zhu Hui heard him mention holding hands and wrapping arms around each other, she was instantly terrified, her scalp prickling and hair standing on end. She repeatedly exclaimed 'no,' her voice loud enough to scare away the dog near the trash can. 0

Seeing her nervousness, Wang Yuhan couldn't help but laugh and shook his head, frowning slightly. "Alright, I was just joking! We can just throw an arm over your shoulder; is that okay?" 0

Later, Zhu Hui arrived at the apartment where Qianfan lived right on time as agreed with Wang Yuhan. Standing outside his door, she felt a wave of anxiety wash over her, almost as if she were reliving a nightmare. However, she couldn't go back on her word, so she straightened her back, took a deep breath, and steeled herself. With a determined look, she raised her hand and knocked on the door. Yang Qianfan opened it. 0

Seeing Zhu Hui standing outside surprised him greatly, but he quickly turned beet red and started scratching his head awkwardly. "You... you came all this way to find me? You’re not here to throw yourself at me, are you?" 0

At that moment, Wang Yuhan happened to walk out of the room. Seeing Yang Qianfan talking to Zhu Hui, he couldn't help but interject with a cold laugh from behind him. "That's right! She did come here to throw herself at someone—too bad it's not into your arms." 0

"What do you mean?" Yang Qianfan asked, confusion replacing his smile as he turned around. 0

Wang Yuhan raised an eyebrow at his question and walked over to him. He pulled Zhu Hui, who had been standing timidly outside and too scared to speak up, into the room beside him. He put on an act of being very close with her and said, "Let me introduce you; she’s my girlfriend now. Sorry, but she’s not here looking for you; she’s here looking for me." To prove his point, he affectionately draped an arm over Zhu Hui's shoulder. 0

Zhu Hui was startled by Wang Yuhan's sudden arm around her shoulder. She shot him a bewildered glance but quickly realized she was in character and couldn't just back out. Reluctantly, she decided to play along, awkwardly smiling and nodding at Yang Qianfan. As she laughed, she kept twisting her shoulders, trying to subtly shake off Wang Yuhan's arm. 0

Seeing their closeness, Yang Qianfan genuinely believed they were a couple, and he felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He stood frozen at the door, his gaze unfocused, as if all his hopes had been extinguished by the scene before him. 0

"As my best friend, I know you must be wishing me and Zhu Hui well, right?" Wang Yuhan flashed a mischievous smile at him and asked. 0

Clearly, Wang Yuhan's question was like salt in Yang Qianfan's wounds, piercing deep into his heart. 0

"I... I wish you well, I... wish you well..." Yang Qianfan stammered, unable to articulate any real blessing. His mind felt like a battlefield, filled with despair, as all his thoughts were obliterated by Wang Yuhan's presence. 0

Seeing him so lost and desolate, like a starving ghost, Wang Yuhan finally patted his shoulder with satisfaction and stopped pressing him for blessings. 0

"I'll be back late tonight. If you want to grab dinner with someone, go find Zhang Ming. He just got out of a breakup and has plenty of time." With that, he pulled Zhu Hui along and walked past Yang Qianfan. 0

After Wang Yuhan and Zhu Hui left, Yang Qianfan remained dazed at the door, as if possessed. He held the same posture he had when watching them walk away, his mind clouded and vision blurred. For a moment, he felt ungrounded, floating like a scholar from a ghost story whose soul had departed, cursing the fate of Zhu Hui and Wang Yuhan’s relationship to end in misery. 0
