Since the last time Song Yu made a splash in the showdown between the Nine-Headed Bird and the Beijing Kid, his popularity at school skyrocketed, making him a prominent figure whose attention rivaled that of Yang Qianfan. This development irked Yang Qianfan, who had always been the king of the school. What frustrated him even more was Song Yu's charm with the ladies; wherever he went, the sound of girls' excited squeals was never far behind. 0

That afternoon, after finishing a game of billiards with He Feng and his crew, they were heading back to class when they happened to spot Zhu Hui ahead of them, struggling to carry a large stack of books. Yang Qianfan noticed her struggle and intended to offer help, but just then, Song Yu appeared out of nowhere, calling out "Sister Hui" affectionately as he rushed to assist her. 0

"Damn it, that bastard! Why does he always have to show up and oppose me?" Yang Qianfan glared at Song Yu, who was laughing with Zhu Hui not far away. He was so furious he felt like charging over and breaking every bone in that guy's body just to turn him into dust. 0

"Yeah! That jerk has been stealing the spotlight lately; I've never liked him," He Feng grumbled as he watched Song Yu with clenched teeth. 0

"Alright, since that's how it is, let's teach that punk a lesson. We'll crush that facade of his and see how he pretends to be cute in front of Zhu Hui after this," Yang Qianfan declared as he and He Feng's group moved toward Song Yu to stir up trouble. 0

Although Song Yu was younger, he wasn't naive; having dealt with bullies in middle school before, he recognized the aggressive approach of Yang Qianfan's group as they approached. Lowering his head slightly, he turned to Zhu Hui with a relaxed smile and said, "Sister Hui, looks like we're in trouble now!" 0

"You can still laugh when we're in trouble?" Zhu Hui shot him a worried glance, too anxious to say anything more. 0

Seeing her nervousness only made Song Yu smile wider. By this time, Yang Qianfan's group had reached them, cracking their knuckles and glaring with fiery eyes; it felt like a fight was about to break out. 0

"Hey, you're blocking the way. How are we supposed to get past?" Song Yu said slowly with a cold smirk directed at Yang Qianfan, his eyes filled with disdain. 0

"You little punk! You think you can act so cocky when your end is near? Didn't your cousin Hu Yuanji teach you how to behave properly?" Yang Qianfan squinted his eyes and sneered. 0

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhu Hui couldn't hold back any longer. She stepped between them on tiptoe and pointed at Yang Qianfan with an air of authority reminiscent of a spokesperson from the Taiwan Affairs Office. "Yang Qianfan! You troublemaker! I warn you not to stir up trouble here! Or else..." 0

"Or else what? Get lost! You're too short; come back when you've grown taller!" Yang Qianfan pushed Zhu Hui aside impatiently and shouted back. 0

"It seems I have no choice but to fight you guys," Song Yu said as he began taking off his jacket. 0

"Hey, are you crazy? There are so many of them; how can you possibly take them on alone?" Zhu Hui exclaimed in panic as she saw him removing his clothes. It was clear he was ready for a confrontation with Yang Qianfan's group. She rushed forward in a flurry, desperate to stop him from throwing himself into such a hopeless situation. 0

“Do you really care about me that much?” Song Yu asked with a curious smile. 0

“Yes, I don’t want to see anything happen to you,” Zhu Hui replied anxiously. 0

“Don’t worry, I won’t let the girl I like be worried about me.” 0

“Ah—what did you just say?” Zhu Hui stared at him in disbelief. 0

“I like you. I won’t let you worry about me,” Song Yu repeated clearly, afraid that Yang Qianfan beside them wouldn’t understand, so he placed his hands gently on Zhu Hui’s shoulders, showing his tender side. 0

Hearing his words made Zhu Hui’s ears tingle; she never expected Song Yu to confess so directly, catching her completely off guard. Yang Qianfan was even angrier, wishing he could tear this guy apart and throw him into a pit of snakes. 0

After finishing, Song Yu casually tossed his recently removed jacket to Zhu Hui for her to hold, then bent down slightly and said softly, “You’d better close your eyes for a while. I’m afraid the scene might be too bloody for you to handle.” With that, he flashed a bright smile, revealing a mouthful of neat white teeth. 0

Seeing Song Yu’s fearless demeanor in front of them filled Yang Qianfan with a sense of respect. With just a glance from Yang Qianfan, He Feng and his gang rushed forward to attack Song Yu. Zhu Hui instinctively closed her eyes at the sight of He Feng’s hefty body charging toward Song Yu, praying fervently for his safety. 0

Screams and sounds of blows filled the air, startling Zhu Hui as she stood trembling in fear, too scared to open her eyes. They fought for a while until it finally calmed down. 0

“Hey, how long are you going to keep your eyes closed?” Suddenly, Song Yu’s strong voice rang out beside her ear. Instinctively, she opened her eyes and was shocked to see him standing unharmed before her as if nothing had happened. 0

“You… you’re okay?” Zhu Hui stared at him in disbelief, unable to comprehend how Song Yu had managed to overcome the odds. 0

“Why? Did you want something to happen to me?” Song Yu smiled at her. 0

“Of course not! Do you know how scared I was just now?” Zhu Hui complained, her eyes welling up with emotion. 0

“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine!” 0

Zhu Hui let out a sigh of relief upon seeing him unharmed, then turned to look at the group behind Yang Qianfan. Ah! Song Yu was indeed impressive; aside from Yang Qianfan, the others had been thoroughly beaten, lying on the ground in pain, grimacing and groaning. Yang Qianfan had not been beaten by Song Yu because he had underestimated him, thinking that He Feng and the others could handle Song Yu without his help. Little did he expect that this brat would be so formidable, nothing like his two useless cousins, who had been easily overwhelmed by He Feng and the others. 0

After retrieving his clothes from Zhu Hui, Song Yu elegantly put them on and picked up the large stack of books Zhu Hui had brought, leaving with her as if nothing had happened. As he brushed past Yang Qianfan, he couldn't resist taunting him: “I’ve heard you’re quite skilled in group fights. But seeing you in action today? Not so impressive. Next time you want to fight, don’t forget to bring more people along; otherwise, it won’t be as fun.” 0

Yang Qianfan clenched his fists in anger at the blatant provocation. 0

“You’d better behave yourself. Just look at this bunch of rookies around you; they should show you what happens when you try to take me on,” Song Yu shot him a cold glance and sneered. “If you don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of Zhu Hui, it’s best not to move. Otherwise, she’ll see just how weak you really are, and you’ll have an even harder time fitting in at school.” With that, he flashed a smug smile at Yang Qianfan and arrogantly dragged Zhu Hui away. 0

Yang Qianfan stood frozen in place, trembling with rage. He had never encountered someone as formidable as Song Yu before; this was a new experience for him, and it didn’t feel good at all. Just as he was fuming over this encounter, He Feng shakily got up from the ground and walked over to Yang Qianfan, expressing his disbelief: “I never thought Hu Yuanji and Liao Chengwei would have such a powerful ally.” 0

“There are plenty more surprises to come! This is just the beginning,” Yang Qianfan said solemnly as he watched Song Yu walk away. 0

“But that brat is way too arrogant! With him around, will we even have a place to stand?” He Feng spat on the ground in frustration and passionately suggested to Yang Qianfan, “Why don’t we go back and gather some brothers? We need to teach him a lesson.” 0

“Shut your mouth! Are you trying to embarrass us even more? Didn’t you see how that brat mocked us for being weak? He only knows how to gang up on people! If you want to fight him, go ahead on your own; don’t drag the rest of us into your shame,” Yang Qianfan retorted angrily before storming off alone. 0
