On Valentine's Day, the streets of Wuhan were particularly lively. The shop windows along the street were already adorned with commercial promotional posters themed around the holiday. Yang Qianfan and Li Lingfei had spent the morning shopping enthusiastically at People's Paradise, and then they moved on to Carnival for some fun. By the afternoon, Yang Qianfan suddenly suggested they visit the Wuhan Exhibition Center to see the orchids. 0

"What? You want to go see orchids? Am I hearing you right? When did you become so cultured? Using the word 'appreciate' to describe your view of the world," Li Lingfei laughed incredulously at his sudden sophistication. 0

"What's so strange about wanting to appreciate orchids?" Yang Qianfan replied nonchalantly. "I've seen reports on TV about this Orchid Expo. They say there's a very valuable orchid at this exhibition worth millions. I thought it would be nice to go and have a look, broaden my horizons!" 0

"Alright, alright—" Li Lingfei couldn't argue with him, so she nodded and agreed to go along. 0

Since the Orchid Expo was opening at the Wuhan Exhibition Center that day, a long line had already formed outside, filled with vendors eager to trade orchids. The vendors displayed their orchids neatly at their stalls for enthusiasts to choose from. People were either bending down or hunching over, carefully selecting their favorite orchids. Perhaps it was the wrong season; none of the orchids were in bloom, only a few thin leaves swaying in the chilly wind trying to attract customers. 0

Yang Qianfan held Li Lingfei's hand and wandered aimlessly through the crowd, his eyes darting everywhere except at the orchids. In truth, his real purpose for coming here wasn't about the orchids at all; it was about Zhu Hui. The Zhongshan Park was just across from the Wuhan Exhibition Center, and he planned to come up with an excuse to take Li Lingfei there and sneak off to KFC nearby to meet Zhu Hui. 0

After browsing for a while, they arrived at a large pool where a crowd had gathered around a stall, cheering and shouting like they were gambling on something, creating quite an energetic atmosphere. Yang Qianfan felt curious and moved closer to see what was happening. As he approached, he realized they were haggling over the price of an orchid with the vendor, creating quite a commotion. 0

To be honest, this orchid was indeed priced quite high; without even seeing a single flower, the vendor was asking for ten thousand yuan and refused to sell for any less. 0

"Ten thousand for a stalk of green onion," Yang Qianfan scoffed from within the crowd. 0

Hearing his outsider comment, everyone turned around and smiled at him warmly, while only the vendor's face turned as red as a traffic light, flashing between anger and disbelief. 0

"What did you just say? Who's selling green onions?" The vendor shouted angrily at Yang Qianfan. 0

"With just two skinny leaves that can barely stand up straight, what else could it be but green onions?" Yang Qianfan replied dismissively. 0

“Listen, I warn you, you can insult me, but you absolutely cannot insult my Orchid,” the boss said sternly, his expression extremely displeased as he pointed at him. 0

“Insult your Orchid?” Yang Qianfan couldn't help but burst into laughter. “I think your Orchid is nowhere near as spirited as the green onions I grow in my backyard.” 0

“You—” The boss was so angry he was at a loss for words. Not wanting to argue with this young brat, he waved him off. “Go on, go play somewhere else. Kids don’t understand anything; don’t mess around here.” 0

“Hey! You old geezer, who are you calling a kid?” Yang Qianfan shouted, furious. In a fit of rage, he kicked over the boss's stall, sending all the Orchids—regardless of their quality—crashing to the ground. 0

Seeing this, Li Lingfei quickly pulled Yang Qianfan aside, repeatedly apologizing to the boss. Although the boss was furious, he couldn't help but feel intimidated by Yang Qianfan's imposing height of 1.84 meters. Reluctantly, he decided to let it go for the moment and take a step back to avoid further conflict. 0
