"You bunch of thugs, are you here on the orders of that scoundrel Yang Qianfan?" Zhu Hui shouted at them.
Upon hearing the name Yang Qianfan, the group of delinquents paused for a moment, immediately stopping their assault on Tang Hui and turning their attention to Zhu Hui.
"Haha..." At that moment, a heavily made-up girl, youthful yet dressed in an extremely avant-garde style, approached her. "It's been a while, Class Leader of Sophomore! How have you been?"
"You... you... who are you..." Zhu Hui stared at her blankly, her name lingering on her lips as fear washed over her face.
"We met at Yang Qianfan's house last time. Although it was just a brief encounter, it was quite unforgettable!" She laughed again, mocking, "Does the injury on your face still hurt? Do you need me to ask Liao Chengwei for some medical expenses on your behalf?" With that, the group of delinquents around her erupted into laughter as if they had been waiting for this moment.
"You... you... you're Rabbit Xiaoyang..." Zhu Hui exclaimed, her eyes widening in realization as her heart raced.
"That's right, I am Rabbit Xiaoyang," she replied casually with a cold smile, her gaze filled with mockery.
"I have no grudge against you, and Hui has no enmity with you either. Why are you attacking him?" Zhu Hui furrowed her brow and questioned her angrily.
"You haven't offended me, but you've offended someone far more terrifying than me. I have no choice; I'm just carrying out orders," Xiao Yang shrugged, feigning a reluctant expression.
"Is it that scoundrel Yang Qianfan who sent you?" Zhu Hui pressed again.
Xiao Yang smiled without answering, glancing at Tang Hui, who was lying on the ground with a bruised face. She sneered at him, "So, how does it feel to get beaten up?"
Tang Hui struggled to lift his head and shot her a cold glare but chose to ignore her.
"You damn bastard, how dare you look down on me? I see you're tired of living, aren't you?" Xiao Yang shouted angrily as she stepped forward and kicked Tang Hui several times.
"You filthy woman, if you dare to kick him, I'll fight you!" Zhu Hui seized the opportunity and rushed forward, grabbing Xiao Yang by the throat and delivering a flurry of punches.
Despite being much taller than Zhu Hui, Xiao Yang was caught off guard by the sudden attack and took a few hits without any defense. However, the group of delinquents quickly pulled Zhu Hui away.
Seeing Zhu Hui's arrogant expression made Xiao Yang's anger boil. Her eyes blazed with fury, and she felt as if smoke was rising from her head. Her muscles tensed up instantly, trembling as if they might burst. At that moment, she wished nothing more than to tear Zhu Hui apart.
"You little brat dare to hit me? Today, I won't care about anyone's face; I'm going to teach you a lesson!" Xiao Yang declared as she stepped forward and slapped Zhu Hui's face three times with resounding smacks.
Zhu Hui wanted to fight back but was held tightly by the delinquents, unable to move. All she could do was rely on her defiant words to salvage a bit of her dignity.
Seeing Zhu Hui stubbornly holding on even in her dire situation, Xiao Yang's rage intensified. She kicked Zhu Hui in the stomach, knocking her to the ground where she struggled to get back up.
"Let her go! If you want to hit someone, hit me instead!" Tang Hui cried out in desperation upon seeing Zhu Hui being attacked. Ignoring his own injuries, he struggled to rise from the ground to save her. Unfortunately, before he could straighten up, he was pushed back down by the group of delinquents.
Xiao Yang turned her head and squinted at him, suspicion etched on her face. "Are you really willing to take her place?"
"Yes. As long as you don't hit her, you can do whatever you want to me."
"You really think you're something special!" Xiao Yang scoffed coldly before asking, "Why?"
"Because she's my friend. My only friend."
“Friend—your only friend!” Xiao Yang felt as if she had been hit by a shockwave. Her heart raced, and every hair on her body stood on end. The mockery in her eyes vanished, replaced by an inexplicable sorrow. After a moment, she suddenly burst into exaggerated laughter, as if trying to mask something, but it only made her seem more transparent. “What a unique friend! I must make you regret ever calling yourself my friend,” she declared, gesturing to the group of delinquents to take action and teach Tang Hui another lesson. The group understood her cue and excitedly pounced on Tang Hui, delivering a flurry of punches and kicks until he lay on the ground, unable to get back up.
