After school at noon, Yang Qianfan was just about to head out with a few classmates for lunch when a fair-skinned girl rushed over to inform him that the principal would be inspecting the cleanliness of the gym before classes in the afternoon. She urged Yang Qianfan to ensure everything was tidy before the principal arrived. Upon hearing this message from the principal, Yang Qianfan was furious, trembling with rage. He clenched his fists, imagining himself striking the air, grinding his teeth in frustration as he wished he could tear Principal Niu apart. He exclaimed, "This is outrageous! That damned Niu Mapi won't even let me eat before making me clean the gym. He must be deliberately looking for trouble, trying to set me up!" 0

"What trouble is he looking for?" asked a boy who was going to lunch with him, scratching his head in confusion. 0

"Isn't it obvious? I accidentally hit him while catching a thief on Jiqing Street yesterday," Yang Qianfan blurted out without thinking. 0

"What? You beat up the principal?" The boy's eyes widened in disbelief, looking at Yang Qianfan with admiration, suddenly feeling that he was incredibly impressive. 0

"Exactly! That's why he's taking revenge on me by making me clean the gym," Yang Qianfan said, shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head as if warming up before a fight, cracking his knuckles loudly. 0

"So that dog of the principal's this morning was referring to you," the boy said, pointing at Yang Qianfan with a silly expression of realization. "No wonder that dog is an imported Foreign Dog; he was using it as a metaphor for you!" 0

Seeing the boy pointing at him, Yang Qianfan's face darkened with anger. He grabbed the boy and shouted, "What did you just say? Who's a dog?" 0

"I... I didn't say you were a dog; I meant the principal's!" The boy stammered, terrified that Yang Qianfan's fist might come crashing down on his head. 0

Yang Qianfan saw how foolish he looked and decided not to waste any more energy arguing with him; it would only make him seem more ridiculous. He pushed the boy away and let it go. 0

"My life is tough, and you guys shouldn't expect things to be easy for you either," Yang Qianfan thought for a moment and then pointed at them, commanding, "You all need to go clean the gym right now. After I finish eating, I'll come find you there." 0

"What? You want us to clean the gym for you?" The boys exclaimed in unison, clearly frightened. 0

"Yes! Hurry up! You better finish cleaning before class this afternoon; otherwise, you'll regret it," Yang Qianfan glared at them and kicked the air a few times as if urging them to move faster. 0

Under the threat of Yang Qianfan, the boys had no choice but to head to the gym on an empty stomach to help him clean. Just as they were about to leave, Li Lingfei happened to pass by with a bag in her hand and ran into them. 0

Upon seeing Li Lingfei, Yang Qianfan's mood instantly brightened. He cast aside all his previous displeasure and cheerfully approached her, saying, "Hey, are you going to eat?" 0

Li Lingfei looked at him, her expression filled with dejection as she replied, "I'm really sorry. If I hadn't pointed out the wrong person yesterday, you wouldn't have ended up in that situation and wouldn't have been punished by the principal." 0

"Actually—this has nothing to do with you. You don't need to feel guilty, really," Yang Qianfan said with a shy smile, trying to comfort her. 0

"How can it not be related? This is all my fault," Li Lingfei insisted, raising the bag in her hand towards Yang Qianfan. "I know you're going to clean the gym now and probably won't have time for lunch, so I specially went to the school gate to buy two lunch boxes. I was planning to eat with you in the gym and help you clean up afterward so that I could feel a little better about it." 0

"Ah, I see. You're really thoughtful, but you shouldn't feel guilty about this," Yang Qianfan said, his face turning red as he scratched his head awkwardly, feeling as if he had fallen into a honey jar. 0

"Then let's go now!" Li Lingfei smiled at him. 0

"Sure! Let's hurry!" Yang Qianfan replied enthusiastically, taking Li Lingfei's hand and heading toward the gym. 0

At that moment, the boys who were supposed to help clean the gym were left bewildered by the scene. They weren't sure if they should follow them or not. However, since Yang Qianfan hadn't explicitly told them not to tag along, they reluctantly trailed behind. 0

"Hey, what are you guys following me for?" Yang Qianfan turned around and glared at the boys who were lingering behind him, feeling quite annoyed. 0

"You just told us to go together..." one of them stammered. 0

“Oh—right, right, right, I almost forgot,” Yang Qianfan interrupted before they could finish speaking. He quickly covered their mouths and said, “I was just about to ask you all to go grab a meal together. Hurry up, what are you still doing here?” He turned his back to Li Lingfei and gave the others a knowing glance, urging them to leave quickly. The boys understood and, looking as if they had found a great bargain, excitedly ran off. 0

The two of them arrived at the gym with smiles on their faces. After lunch, they began cleaning up. Despite Li Lingfei's delicate appearance, she was surprisingly efficient in her work, showing no signs of being a pampered girl. Even Yang Qianfan was left speechless by her skills and felt a bit inferior. With Li Lingfei’s help, the cleaning in the gym was completed remarkably quickly, well before afternoon classes began. They only returned to the classroom after the principal came to inspect and nodded in both disappointment and satisfaction, indicating his approval. 0
