Li Yunye had been with Hongmen for many years and had only taken one disciple, White. The other girl present was Mary’s close friend, Mi Wei Er, a fashionista from the United States with millions of followers. She wore sunglasses and heavy makeup, dressed in a deep V gown that accentuated her alluring figure.
“White, if today goes well, don’t forget what you promised me,” Mary suddenly said in Huaxia Language.
“I won’t forget; you can count on me,” White replied with a smile.
Mary’s master, Yan Xiaotian, had died in Huaxia, leaving her without a mentor to continue her training. Therefore, she sought another master, and the most suitable candidate was naturally Li Yunye. Mary introduced Alice to White while White would speak well of her in front of Li Yunye; it was a mutually beneficial arrangement.
“What are you two talking about?” Mi Wei Er interjected with some annoyance upon seeing Mary and White conversing in Huaxia Language.
“Nothing much,” Mary replied with a smile before glancing toward the door and giving White a knowing look. “Alice is here; you need to put in some effort. If you manage to win her over, it will be even more surprising than winning the championship at the United States Martial Arts Competition.”
“Let’s go greet her,” White said with a grin as he stood up and adjusted his tailored suit before heading toward the door.
“Just stay seated; I forgot to tell you—Alice likes cool guys. If you’re too enthusiastic, it might lower her impression of you,” Mary advised with a chuckle.
“Why didn’t you say so earlier?” White shot her an exasperated glance before straightening up and adopting a more serious demeanor.
“It’s not too late now; after all, Alice is different from other girls. Those childish attempts to please won’t work on her—only confidence can conquer her,” Mary said while waving toward the door.
Seeing them from afar, Alice walked over.
