Lian Qingzong struggled to rise, the wounds on his body throbbing painfully. He grasped the Fire Cloud Broad Sword tightly, keeping a wary eye on the man in white and Shangguan Wan'er along with their group. 0

Wu Lao, wielding the Sawtooth Sword, was itching to step forward and deliver a blow to both Lian Shuzhou and Lian Shuyang. 0

The two men lay on the ground, crying out in agony, having been severely injured by the Flying Ship. 0

Among them, Lian Shuzhou was in the worst condition, while Lian Shuyang also struggled to get up. Their injuries were nearly identical, and at this point, all they could think about was finding a way to escape. 0

However, Lian Chongtang had fallen below, his fate uncertain. 0

“Qing Zong, go save your grandfather,” Lian Shuzhou instructed his son, looking at him intently. 0

Lian Qingzong hesitated. Wu Lao, Shangguan Wan'er, and the man in white had gathered a force of dozens, watching them like a pack of wolves. His father and uncle were injured, and others—including Jiang Lao—were also somewhat wounded. How could he possibly feel at ease? 0

Though he himself was injured, his presence might still deter their enemies somewhat. 0

Just then, the man in white gave a few instructions to those behind him before leaving only a few people by his side; the rest jumped into the pit below. 0

They must be going to harvest the White Emperor Star Fruit. 0

Shangguan Wan'er was not one to lag behind either; she gestured to her followers, who nodded intelligently and quickly followed suit with their weapons in hand. 0

They certainly couldn’t allow all the White Emperor Star Fruits to be picked clean by the man in white’s subordinates. 0

Wu Lao watched this scene unfold with a sense of helplessness. It was all because of the Lian Family that his subordinates had been slaughtered; he could never swallow that grievance. 0

With that thought, he stepped forward with the Sawtooth Sword in hand, casting a cold smile at Lian Qingzong. 0

Lian Qingzong raised his sword. Although he bore significant injuries, the strength of this Special-Class General was not enough to easily take him down. If the man dared to advance, Lian Qingzong was confident he could make him pay with his life. 0

“Qing Zong, you take care of your father. I’ll go save your grandfather.” Lian Shuyang gritted his teeth against the pain and led two subordinates from the Lian Family to jump into the cave below. However, when they landed in the deepest part of the cave, Lian Shuyang, the bald man, suddenly let out a muffled groan. The intense movement was too much for his body to handle; he was already injured, and as he activated his Pulse Energy to descend into the cave, he inadvertently aggravated his wounded Chest Cavity. He opened his armor to take a look inside and found it sticky and unpleasant, the wound from the Flying Ship having oozed. 0

His two companions tried to come over to help him, but he waved them off. His instincts made him alert; this layer of the cave felt strange. The other two also sensed something was off and drew their Zhan Dao. 0

Sweat beaded on Lian Shuyang’s forehead as he caught a whiff of a strong metallic scent; the air in this cave was nauseating. 0

“There!” one of them pointed out a pit. Lian Shuyang approached it and saw that someone had indeed fallen there, but there was no one around. 0

Swish. 0

Something flashed past in the darkness. 0

“Hm?” One of them seemed to notice something. 0

Swish! Another large shadow darted by. 0

This time all three felt it. 0

Lian Shuyang's heart sank like a stone; his father was likely in grave danger, and this layer of the cave probably harbored some terrifying threats. 0

Swish! 0

In the darkness, a shadow suddenly lunged at one of them. 0

“Ah!” The scream abruptly cut off. 0

Lian Shuyang and another person looked over, only to find that half of the other person's body was missing, as if something had brutally torn it away! 0

Suddenly, a shadow lunged at another subordinate who was already feeling paranoid. 0

He turned around, and in his pupils, the shadow rapidly expanded until it struck him, dragging him completely into darkness. 0

"Ah!!!" 0

A blood-curdling scream echoed through the darkness. 0

Lian Shuyang quickly drew his Energy Gun and fired in that direction—bang, bang, bang! 0

Energy Bullets shot out, clanging against a shadow before bouncing off. The brief flash of gunfire illuminated the creature in the darkness; it paid no heed to his bullets and continued to feast on a human corpse. 0

Lian Shuyang's heart raced with dread; his father was likely... in grave danger. 0

With that thought, he unsheathed his Zhan Dao and charged toward the creature! 0

Roar! 0

The creature turned to face him, its Vertical Eye locking onto him. Its massive body stood at least four or five meters tall, resembling a Wolf-like beast. It had sharp, menacing fangs and its back was covered with jagged Back Teeth. Strangely, its body bore remnants of thick Carapace, and its limbs were still dragging several broken chains! 0

Seeing Lian Shuyang charge at it, the creature tilted its head to evade. In an instant, it lunged forward like lightning, its Ancient Pulse Energy radiating from its colossal form. 0

Swish! 0

A thunderous Claw came crashing down. Lian Shuyang's body was slashed as he tilted and fell. As he descended, he caught sight of the cave's ceiling; blinding light streamed down from above. 0

A howl echoed through the cave, a sound that reverberated like thunder, carrying with it an overwhelming Pulse Energy that rolled outwards. 0

Those above, who were busy harvesting the White Emperor Star Fruit, paused in their tracks, drawn to the sudden beastly roar. The sound, imbued with a menacing Pulse Energy, pierced through their senses, unsettling them and igniting an instinctual urge to flee. 0

On the ground below, the howl reached their ears as well, particularly affecting Lian Shuzhou, whose face turned pale in an instant. 0

The direction of the sound was unmistakable; it came from deep within the cave! 0

“Not good! Your uncle and grandfather!” Lian Shuzhou exclaimed, clutching at his wounds as he rushed toward the cave entrance. Lian Qingzong, Jiang Lao, and two others exchanged glances before hastily following him. 0

However, just as they were about to run, the next scene before them instilled a primal fear that made them want to turn back immediately. 0

From within the cave, a massive figure surged upward. Its ancient and formidable body was partially covered by a shattered carapace, revealing its head and sides. Towering tusks jutted from its back like ivory spikes, while its tail resembled a rock sculpture—hard and sharp like a serrated blade. Its four powerful claws bore remnants of broken chains, as if it had been deliberately restrained. 0

What struck terror into their hearts was the faint yet ancient aura of its bloodline, exuding an oppressive presence that surpassed the understanding of anyone present. 0

“This ancient wolf’s aura is so powerful…” Shangguan Wan'er stared in astonishment at the beast that had suddenly appeared before them. 0

“It truly is an Ancient Lord!” Jian Ju Nan gasped in shock as he beheld the creature standing before them. 0

It was evident that it had been imprisoned underground by someone, and now, after an unknown passage of time, it had regained its freedom, filled with rage and hunger. 0

With a deep roar, it took a step forward, its upright pupils fixating on the humans before it, who seemed like excellent prey. 0

Its sharp claws merely shifted slightly as it moved, yet the ground beneath it was scorched by its formidable pulse energy, leaving a distinct footprint. The rocks around the area appeared to shatter effortlessly under the force of its energy. 0

Looking around, many people instinctively took a half-step back, their legs trembling at the sight of this terrifying creature. 0

“Qing Zong, your uncle and grandfather are likely…” Lian Shuzhou gazed at the beast, suddenly choked with emotion. It seemed that things were heading in the worst possible direction; all that filled his mind was a sense of impending doom. 0

Lian Qingzong swung his sword and charged at the creature, the Fire Cloud Broad Sword erupting in brilliant flames. 0

Roar! 0

The Lord Wolf lunged forward suddenly, opening its mouth wide as its tongue lashed out! 0

Bang! 0

Lian Qingzong was instantly ensnared and slammed to the ground, creating a massive crater as debris flew everywhere. 0

“Young Master!” Jiang Lao immediately drew his sword and rushed forward in anger. 0

The leader of the giant wolves flickered in motion, lightning and sparks crackling around its form. Its tongue whipped Lian Qingzong towards Jiang Lao, who swung his sword down in response. 0

That tongue was as hard as steel. Even more astonishing was that it unleashed a second tongue from its mouth, writhing like a living snake as it shot toward Jiang Lao. 0

Jiang Lao was violently thrown back, but in that split second, his long sword unleashed a tremendous strike, severing the tongue that bound Lian Qingzong. 0

Lian Qingzong crashed to the ground, groaning in pain. Two figures rushed over to provide cover, but the giant wolf moved with lightning speed, leaving behind two afterimages as it struck. The two generals from the Lian Family were caught off guard, their bodies cleaving in half as they stood frozen in disbelief, unable to comprehend how they had failed to even land a single blow. 0

Jiang Lao slammed into the ground far away, kicking up a cloud of dust and debris. Before he could rise, the Leader of the giant wolf appeared above him, its mouth wide open as an overwhelming surge of Pulse Energy gushed forth from its maw. 0

“Beast!” In that instant, Jiang Lao tore open his clothing, revealing his body strapped with Energy Grenades collected from previous battles. 0

Boom! Boom! Boom! 0

The earth trembled as energy surged forth. 0

Roar! 0

A colossal roar mixed with a torrent of Pulse Energy swept through the area, shaking everything in its path. 0

In the air, Lu Fei Fan felt the power resonating with the ground beneath him. It was ancient and profound, a massive aura dominating the region that sent chills down his spine. He quickly locked onto the ground on the large screen and was startled to see the Giant Wolf Lord. 0

A massive crater had formed where Jiang Lao had been, stained with patches of blood. Yet, the Giant Wolf Lord appeared relatively unscathed; it impatiently dug at the earth, hot breath billowing from its nostrils. 0

The giant wolf had its sights set on Lian Qingzong. Lian Shuzhou suddenly sprang to his feet and aimed his Teng She crossbow at it! 0

Whoosh! 0

An arrow formed from concentrated energy shot forth like a Vine Snake towards the giant wolf. 0

Boom! 0

The Vine Snake crashed into the massive wolf, its worn armor shattering upon impact with a thunderous explosion. 0

But in the next moment, the giant wolf vanished from sight, reappearing above Lian Shuzhou. Lian Shuzhou looked up at the dark shadow descending upon him like a nightmare. In despair, he cast a glance at his son in the distance, forcing a smile as he murmured something. 0

“It’s alright, it’s alright…” 0

Unfortunately, Lian Qingzong could not hear him. 0

He could only watch helplessly as the imposing Claw descended toward his father. 0

“No!!!” 0

Lian Qingzong let out a heart-wrenching roar. The Fire Cloud Broad Sword in his hand ignited with blazing flames, and his momentum surged, stirring the surrounding Pulse Energy that quickly converged onto his sword. In the next moment, Lian Qingzong's aura swelled like a bursting beam of light, reaching the War God Realm. At that instant, his long sword transformed into a swirling and violent fire dragon that charged toward the giant wolf with a deafening roar! 0
