After the ceremony, Lu Fei Fan saw Tao Hua being escorted by a Major onto a military Jeep, while Ma Wei took his soldiers and boarded one of the trucks to leave first. 0

Subsequently, Lu Fei Fan and the injured were transferred by truck to a secure location on the Island. The road from the port to the city was somewhat winding, but it was fortified with multiple checkpoints. Most of the heavily armed soldiers were stationed there, and an Energy Cannon was set up at the Human Sandbag checkpoint, ready to obliterate anyone who attempted to breach it. 0

Most vehicles passing through these checkpoints required an Intermediate Hunting Area Pass. Lu Fei Fan observed that the majority of the vehicles were Military Vehicles, transporting supplies, soldiers, or weaponry. The once-blocked port was now bustling with busy trucks and soldiers. 0

The atmosphere at the port was tense with preparations for war; various High-Energy Cannons, Anti-Air Missile Vehicles, and Radar Detection Stations were almost everywhere. This island was likely a military stronghold; otherwise, there wouldn’t be such a heavy presence of defensive forces. 0

After exiting the port's blockade, they entered a Tropical Rainforest. Sunlight filtered through the branches above, but the birds were startled into chaotic flight by the roaring Fighter Jets overhead. It was a pity that they couldn’t experience the tranquil sounds of birds in the Tropical Rainforest. 0

Upon leaving the forest, the convoy split at a fork in the road. A Jeep carrying soldiers turned left, while Lu Fei Fan and his group continued right toward the city. 0

Sitting in the swaying truck with Niu Dali and A Teng, Lu Fei Fan was uncertain about their destination. The fatigue from continuous battles had nearly put everyone in the truck to sleep. Feeling drowsy himself, Lu Fei Fan leaned back and dozed off. 0

Meanwhile, Tao Hua sat inside the Jeep next to Major Li Han, who had been assigned to report to the frontline command post. 0

After about ten minutes of driving, they began encountering checkpoints guarded by soldiers and other Military Vehicles. Tao Hua realized they were nearing the frontline command post. When they arrived at their destination, she discovered that the Free Federation Army Headquarters had established a temporary command post at a military base on Bayflow Island. The outer defenses were as solid as a fortress, with essential anti-aircraft and heavy artillery deployments in place. More importantly, there would undoubtedly be numerous powerful figures stationed at the Free Federation's military command center! 0

Once the vehicle stopped, Major Li Han opened the door and stepped out first. Waiting outside was a man with the rank of Colonel. 0

As Tao Hua exited, she immediately followed Major Li Han in saluting the rugged-looking Colonel. The Colonel glanced at her indifferently before taking over Li Han’s handover documents for review. After confirming everything was in order, he addressed Tao Hua. 0

“Come on, follow me.” 0

Tao Hua glanced back at Major Li Han, who remained where he was as if his task had been completed. However, just as she turned around, a Communications Soldier rushed toward him, likely bringing news of another assignment for him. 0

Peach Blossom followed the colonel in front of her with a sense of trepidation. As she looked around at the bustling military base, she couldn't help but feel astonished. Transport aircraft and fighter jets were constantly taking off and landing, while trucks loaded with supplies were moving in and out of the airport in a steady stream. She even saw not only rows of imposing armored warriors disembarking from the transport aircraft but also tanks used in ground combat. This was no small operation. 0

What made her even more anxious was another reason: she hadn't spotted any officers with a rank lower than hers at the base. It seemed she was the lowest-ranking officer present, aside from the ordinary soldiers. 0

The colonel led Peach Blossom to a main building on the base, where busy soldiers paid her no mind. The closer she got to the main building, the more she noticed that the ranks of the surrounding officers were increasingly higher—colonels, major generals, and even lieutenant generals. 0

As she entered the building with the colonel, two soldiers standing guard saluted her with their weapons, acknowledging her presence. 0

Once inside, Lu Fei Fan heard a cacophony reminiscent of crashing waves—various video calls and debates echoed throughout the room. 0

The vast operations hall was divided into many sections, each operating at high speed. Some areas were responsible for logistics coordination, others for transportation management, and some for intelligence analysis. These were all functions of the operations hall. 0

After passing through the operations hall, they arrived at an operations conference room at the end of the corridor. A large group of officers surrounded a three-dimensional virtual sand table, listening intently to a briefing. 0

The officers appeared to be of high rank, and none looked particularly young; even the youngest among them was in his thirties. 0

Upon entering, the colonel dared not interrupt the meeting because at the center stood a bald man in his forties—a major general—who was pointing at the sand table with a whip-like pointer as he explained the current situation. 0

"Currently, our coastal defense units 1 and 4 are stationed on Hai Xin Island, Oak Island, Men San Island, and over thirty other islands that have suffered severe damage and losses. Additionally, we have lost eight warships from the Third Cruiser Fleet and Eighth Cruiser Fleet. At present, four islands and three warships remain unaccounted for..." 0

At this moment, another major general of staff in his fifties stood up to speak. "We have already dispatched fighter jets and transport aircraft to deliver support teams for rescue efforts." 0

Following this, the bald man’s aide continued to draw on the virtual three-dimensional map: "Based on our stationed corps and locations of combat incidents, we have clearly mapped out the routes affected by this surprise attack!" 0

As he spoke, three red arrows appeared on the detailed three-dimensional maritime map, slowly advancing while oceanic storms formed in between them. 0

Peach Blossom looked at the virtual map and noticed three red arrows indicating the invasion of Sea Beasts in the waters. Many marked defense stages in between had been crossed out. 0

"The Sea Beasts have breached three coastal defense lines, and nearly half of our fleet has been severely damaged. This is just the vanguard... What happens next, we cannot predict," said a staff officer. 0

"Wait a moment." A steady voice interrupted the Major General. 0

Everyone turned to look, including Peach Blossom. She had not noticed before that in the center of the crowd, surrounded by several generals, there was a person sitting down while others stood around the operational map. 0

He was a gray-haired General with a calm demeanor. He sat with his hands crossed and legs crossed, studying the map before him thoughtfully. "What is the total length of this attack route?" he asked. 0

"Nearly two provinces long..." The Major pointed to the three-dimensional simulation map of the sea with a whip, roughly indicating its length. 0

"Then what about its starting point?" The gray-haired General furrowed his brow as he gazed at the map. Without waiting for an answer, he picked up a ruler from in front of him and traced back along the attack route until he stopped at a specific location. 0

"It should be here!" 0

"That place... is the Juhai Great Wall!" someone recognized that special location. 0

Instantly, the entire conference room erupted in astonishment, followed by a flurry of discussions. 0

"Exactly, so it must be that something has gone wrong at the Juhai Great Wall!" The General stood up confidently, hands clasped behind his back. 0

"General, that's somewhat unlikely. The Juhai Great Wall is guarded by the most elite troops of the Free Federation, not to mention there are lighthouses..." 0

The General glared at the speaking staff officer and said, "Do you think the Juhai Great Wall is an impregnable fortress against the Tide?" 0
The staff officer hesitated to make any assertions, leaving him momentarily unable to refute the claims. 0

The previously calm balding officer explained, "General, we cannot definitively say whether there is an issue at the Juhai Great Wall; we only know that we have not been able to establish contact with them thus far..." 0

Just as the General was about to respond, a Communications Soldier burst in from outside, interrupting everyone. 0

"Report! Urgent message from Military Headquarters!" 0

Everyone turned to look as the Communications Soldier handed an urgent report to one of the officers. The officer opened it and his expression changed dramatically; he quickly passed it to the General. 0

"General, it's about the Juhai Great Wall..." 0

The General took a look and couldn't help but be moved. He then casually handed the military report to the anxious officers nearby for them to read. 0

One of them exclaimed in surprise, "What! The Juhai Great Wall military district is in distress and urgently needs support..." 0

"I'll go confirm with Military Headquarters first," the General said after a moment's thought, then turned and left. 0

The remaining officers could only discuss matters in the Operations Room. Tao Hua followed the major, standing anxiously by his side. The current military situation seemed far more critical than she had imagined or anticipated. She knew little about the Juhai Great Wall, only that it was one of the coastal defenses crucial to the survival of the Free Federation. If it were breached by monsters, the consequences would be unimaginable. 0

After a while, the General returned with a grave expression. 0

Unable to contain their curiosity, all the officers surrounded him and asked, "General, what is the situation? Do we need to formulate a support operation plan immediately?" 0

The General stepped up to the three-dimensional information map, and the staff officers quickly gathered around him in a circle. 0

The General immediately issued the operational orders: "The Military Headquarters has mobilized the 18th Army and the 45th Army, which are closest to the front lines, for rapid support. Additionally, Bronze and Chongming have already exited their bases and are heading to the Juhai Great Wall..." 0

As soon as he finished speaking, it was as if a depth charge had exploded in deep water, causing an uproar among the crowd. 0

"What! Bronze and Chongming are joining forces..." 0

"This... it has escalated to the point of deploying two State Protectors. The situation... seems quite serious." 0

"Well, with their combined efforts, the situation should stabilize." 0

"Let’s hope the Juhai Great Wall can hold out until they arrive." 0

Finally, the General had to interrupt their chaotic speculations and refocus on discussing how to reinforce troops for support. Taohua patiently waited on the side, watching as orders flowed from the command center, with communication officers coming in and out one after another. 0

This was the first time Taohua had the honor of hearing such high-level military intelligence. Normally, such information would be beyond her reach as a low-ranking Young Officer; not even the previous captain would have been qualified to know it. Hearing so many astonishing insider details was enough to leave her shocked and broaden her horizons. 0

Bronze and Chongming... she firmly etched these two names in her memory. Once she was outside, she would make sure to inquire about their deeds because the title of State Protector represented a powerful existence that stood at the pinnacle, almost like a deity, for someone of her status! 0
