With a loud bang, the Energy Bullet struck the Snake Belly, exploding a large patch of scales. 0

Boom! 0

Another shot fired. 0

This was the fourth shot. 0

The Energy Bullet soared through the night sky, precisely finding another giant serpent, tearing open a gash in its side. From a distance, Tao Hua could see the massive creature shudder, sending countless black objects flying into the air—whether they were flesh or scales, she couldn't tell. 0

But the Three-Headed Sea Serpent was thoroughly enraged. 0

Hua Er Fei Fan naturally wouldn't give it another chance to close in. This time, the charging took a bit longer. The Pulse Energy continuously flowed through the gun, gathering in the Pulse Energy matrix within the chamber to form a brand new Energy Bullet. The bullet, pressed inside the chamber, changed from a wheat color to golden wheat, then gradually shifted to orange, and finally turned into a searing crimson! 0

Taking advantage of the slightly extended charging time and as the Three-Headed Sea Serpent lunged forward, Lu Fei Fan decisively pulled the trigger. Bang! 0

The entire Ferry trembled as a streak of crimson light shot forth like a stunning comet, leaving behind an astonishing red trail as it hurtled toward the Three-Headed Sea Serpent. Sensing danger, the serpent abruptly halted in the water and roared at the incoming Energy Bullet. A transparent wall of air formed before it, but that red Energy Bullet still smashed through the barrier with force. Boom! 0

The red Energy Bullet exploded against the head of the central serpent, creating a massive burst of energy. 0

Instantly, the Three-Headed Sea Serpent writhed in agony, roaring as if it were suffering immense pain. 0

Seizing this opportunity, the captain once again leaped from the Ferry with incredible speed. His figure created rippling waves in the water due to a brief surge of energy, and in his hand, the Long Axe descended like a falling meteor as he shouted and swung down fiercely! 0

Boom! 0

A tremendous sound erupted, causing waves of shock to ripple through the sea. The water surged back toward the Ferry like an approaching tsunami wall, but fortunately, the Ferry managed to stabilize itself and even retreated slightly. 0

As the curtain of water fell, the Captain had already been propelled back onto the Ferry, but his face was pale. He discarded the Long Axe and pressed his hand against his chest, finally spitting out a mouthful of black blood. 0

After a while, as color returned to his face, he wiped the corner of his mouth and glanced at the deck where Lu Fei Fan had been; it was now deserted. 0

Gunfire continued on the Ferry, indicating that the battle was not over yet—likely they were heading to support other areas. 0

Peach Blossom quickly supported him, and the Captain's complexion eased a bit. He pointed toward the now calm Sea Surface and asked, “How many shots can you fire?” 0

“What?” Peach Blossom momentarily failed to grasp his question. 0

“Fire Spider.” The Captain took a few steps back and leaned against the deck, inadvertently sitting on a soldier's corpse. When he turned to look, he saw a very young face, the body covered in blood. Around his neck hung an open Necklace containing a photograph—presumably of his lover. The Captain fell silent as he gently closed the young soldier's eyes and then sat down in the nearby space. 0

“You still haven’t answered me,” the Captain prompted again. 0

Peach Blossom stared at the now empty deck, where part of Da Gang’s body had once remained. She wondered if the recent waves had swept him into the sea, washing away all traces of blood from that spot, leaving nothing behind. 0

“Peach Blossom?” The Captain interrupted her reverie. 0

“Da Gang is gone,” she said calmly, pointing at the empty deck. 0

The Captain sighed and offered comfort. “He was a soldier. This is our best resting place.” 0

“I can only fire five shots with Fire Spider!” Peach Blossom replied with an answer that seemed unrelated. 0

“Five shots?” The Captain was intrigued now, unsure whether to feel pleasantly surprised or relieved. “That young man also fired five shots, and his last shot was all-encompassing…” 0

“All-encompassing… I need to reduce one shot…” Peach Blossom calculated. 0

“If I remember correctly, that should be a gun only usable by ‘Third-Level Rookie’, right?” the Captain said uncertainly. 0

Peach Blossom nodded slightly, remaining silent, then turned and left the deck to continue directing the soldiers to clean up after the battle, though the gunfire gradually diminished. 0

The Captain sat on the deck, gazing at the turbulent Sea Surface before him. The sky was still overcast with dark clouds, and he suddenly felt something was amiss. A sense of foreboding and unease began to envelop his heart, as if a greater danger was approaching. He observed that the Sea Monsters around the Ferry had actually retreated! 0

“Not good!” he suddenly became alert to what was happening. 0

The giant beast 0

The Sea Beasts in the water withdrew like a receding tide, and the sound of gunfire gradually ceased. The soldiers who had been fighting on the Ferry realized that the enemies around them had either fled or been slain by their own hands. 0

“Is it over?” someone asked in confusion, looking around. But all that surrounded them was emptiness; those comrades who had fought alongside them were now fallen, leaving only a few survivors. 0

The Ferry was piled high with the remains of monsters, as well as those of their comrades. Silence fell over them as they quietly cleaned up the battlefield, casting the monster corpses into the sea and collecting their fallen comrades' bodies as much as possible. Those who lived needed to bring them home. 0

This was responsibility, and it was for their comrades. 0

Yet some had perished in the sea or fallen into the bellies of beasts, with no bodies left to find. Even if they were found, they would be in pieces. 0

That’s how war is; some must die gloriously while others are forced to bear the Willpower of those who have passed on and continue to live. 0

The soldiers on the Ferry hadn’t been cleaning up for long when the alarm on the Ferry blared once more. 0

Everyone dropped what they were doing and grabbed their weapons—whether it was an Energy Rifle or a ‘Zhan Bing’ Zhan Dao. However, as they prepared for battle, they saw no enemies; instead, there was only a Sea Surface that began to calm. The storm had ceased, and aside from the thick clouds roiling above with flashes of lightning and thunder, the Sea Surface lay eerily still. 0

But it was precisely this stillness that made the soldiers’ nerves tighten even more; they dared not relax for even a moment. 0

On the third deck, Lu Fei Fan woke up from his fainting spell. Just as he finished charging and firing the last shot from his Fire Spider sniper rifle, everything suddenly went dark, and he lost consciousness. 0

When he regained his senses, he saw A Teng crouching beside him, unbuttoning his pants. A chill ran down Lu Fei Fan's spine; surely this pervert wasn't trying to take advantage of him? What was he doing unbuttoning his pants? 0

"What are you doing?" Lu Fei Fan quickly sat up and demanded. 0

"Oh, you're awake!" A Teng paused in surprise, stopping his actions. He attempted to reach out and touch Lu Fei Fan's face, but Lu Fei Fan caught his hand and twisted it. Although A Teng had awakened his abilities, Lu Fei Fan still had a clear advantage in strength, easily bending A Teng's hand like a steel bar. 0

"Ouch! My hand... I'm going to die!" A Teng cried out in pain. His weary face was smeared with blood, and he looked disheveled. Several places on his shoulders and waist were wrapped in blood-soaked bandages, clearly indicating he had sustained injuries during the battle. 0

Despite this, Lu Fei Fan maintained a cold expression and continued to press, "What were you trying to do just now?" 0

"Okay, okay! I’m sorry!" A Teng quickly begged for mercy. 0

Only then did Lu Fei Fan release him and push the perverted man away. 0

A Teng hurriedly inhaled deeply and shook his twisted hand as he explained, "Hey, no good deed goes unpunished! I saw you passed out and couldn’t wake up no matter how much I called you. I even tried giving you mouth-to-mouth resuscitation! So I thought I’d use some warm 'vintage brew' on you to see if that worked. Who knew you'd wake up right then?" 0

"What?" Lu Fei Fan was momentarily taken aback. "What did you just say?" 0

"I was going to pour urine on you! It’s what medics do; it definitely works on people who faint on the battlefield," A Teng complained as he found a spot nearby to sit down. 0

"Wait. The previous sentence," Lu Fei Fan insisted, focusing on the key point. "You gave me mouth-to-mouth? Who gave me mouth-to-mouth?" 0

A Teng gestured towards another side. Lu Fei Fan turned to look and saw Da Li grinning foolishly, revealing a mouthful of big yellow teeth while cradling an Energy Cannon in one arm and fiddling with his toes with the other hand. 0

He scratched his head awkwardly and said sheepishly, "I wanted to save my first kiss for my wife, but it ended up going to my brother instead. Hehe, I feel kind of bad for my future wife." 0

“Exactly!” A Teng exclaimed, slapping his thigh and giving a thumbs up to Great Force. “Women are like clothes; you only have one brother. What is a brother? A brother is someone who can become a woman when he needs one.” 0

“Get lost…” 0

The sound of Lu Fei Fan retching followed closely behind. 0

Beep— 0

The alert for an ambush sounded again! 0

The three of them quickly took their positions for battle. A Teng crouched down, clutching several Energy Grenades in his hands, while Great Force held onto the Energy Cannon, scanning the surroundings for enemies. Lu Fei Fan reached for the Fire Spider Sniper Rifle but reconsidered and instead picked up the nearby Energy Rifle. He ejected the magazine and checked the Energy Bullets inside; there were still nearly half left. 0

While crouching, he took the opportunity to check his body. He wasn’t injured, just feeling weak, as if he had lost everything. 0

In the chaotic void, only two stars remained dimly lit. 0

The dozen or so Pulse Energy stars that had been glowing were now extinguished, giving Lu Fei Fan a sense of despair as if he had returned to square one overnight. 0

This was also why he had hesitated to continue using the Fire Spider sniper rifle earlier; if he had done so, the Pulse Energy’s consuming impact would likely have turned him into a mere husk. 0

In his prime, Lu Fei Fan had just stepped into the world of Fusers and didn’t want to meet his end here. 0

However, being able to fire five shots with this charged Sniper Rifle was already pushing his limits. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? 0

Suddenly, the captain’s figure rose above the Ferry. 0

“Prepare for battle!” 0

He shouted to everyone on the ship. 0

As soon as his voice fell, dark clouds gathered on the horizon, suddenly descending and enveloping most of the sea surface ahead. Lightning flickered and danced within the pitch-black clouds, occasionally spreading out like a web of electricity across the surrounding waters. 0

"What the hell is this?" Dali muttered beside him, sweating nervously. 0

"With this kind of commotion, it must be a big fellow," A Teng gulped repeatedly. This phenomenon was something he had never encountered before, and he was genuinely frightened. "If I had known, I wouldn't have accompanied you two idiots to take that ridiculous Fuser exam. If we end up in this bone-chilling sea, there won't be anything left to salvage. I should have just gone to military school; at least I could meet some military beauties... Oh, please bless me, ancestors, gods..." 0

By the time A Teng finished his rambling complaints, he was practically trembling in prayer for divine protection. 0

Lu Fei Fan was about to say something to lighten the mood when suddenly a deafening roar erupted from the thick clouds covering the sea surface. 0

Screech— 0

It sounded like a scream from some ancient behemoth awakening, harsh and grating. The danger emanating from that sound struck fear into their hearts, causing even the psychologically fragile warriors to crumble in terror. Thankfully, experienced soldiers managed to hold them down. 0

Boom— 0

A massive slapping sound echoed from the misty sea, reminiscent of waves crashing against rocks. 0

"It's coming!" The captain, suspended in mid-air, raised his axe and furrowed his brow as he stared ahead, mentally preparing for a desperate fight! 0

Boom— 0

Another thunderous clap rang out like an explosion, reverberating at intervals. Many knew that a dangerous beast from the deep sea was heading their way. 0

This beast was different from the Three-Headed Sea Serpent; its ancient power radiated an overwhelming strength that instilled a sense of dread in Lu Fei Fan, the captain, and Tao Hua. It was a terrifying presence that exuded an air of supreme disdain. 0

Weak creatures often feel this way when facing a powerful enemy. 0

But they had nowhere left to retreat, and the maximum power of the Ferry was still no match for the increasingly close 'thundering' sound of crashing waves. 0

Lu Fei Fan held his breath, trying his best to suppress his nervousness and fear. Suddenly, his pupils dilated, not daring to miss a single detail. In the distance, amidst the shrouded black mist of the sea, he was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the Ancient Behemoth, revealing a terrifying glimpse of its true form. 0

A massive tentacle, hundreds of meters long, emerged from the thick fog of that sea area. It was black and covered with horrifying barbs and suckers. 0

It rose up from the misty waters and then swiftly crashed down onto the Sea Surface! 0

Boom— 0

The Sea Surface was instantly stirred into towering waves that surged like a mountain! 0
