"One hundred and thirteen in total," reported the assisting guard who was counting. 0

"One hundred and thirteen? Hmm, not bad, not bad. Much better than the previous batch of useless ones," the Deputy Examiner said, slightly surprised, before nodding in satisfaction. He then opened the electronic watch on his wrist and entered the score on the virtual keyboard. 0

Catching over a hundred was quite unexpected for Lu Fei Fan himself. 0

"Alright." The Deputy Examiner handed him a badge and gestured for him to leave through another passageway towards the next assessment point. 0

Having passed both assessments with decent scores, if he could secure a good result in the third round, he would earn the title of Fuser. At that point, he would be qualified to go out to sea for hunting. 0

"Dad, just wait. I will definitely bring you back," Lu Fei Fan thought to himself, determined to buy the Jinwu Holy Blood Pill to help his father recover. 0

As he walked and pondered, someone suddenly called out from behind him. 0

"Boss, boss..." 0

It took Lu Fei Fan a moment to snap back to reality. When he turned around, his jaw nearly dropped in shock. 0

"You guys... are?" Lu Fei Fan stared at the two figures before him, who were leaning on each other for support. One of them had a face swollen three times its normal size, resembling a pig's head, making it impossible for him to recognize them. 0

"Damn it! I'm A Teng, the master of all eighteen skills of seduction, known as the 'Human Pile Driver'!" 0

"And I'm Hao Da Li, the honest guy who often went with you to peep at others in the women's bathhouse!" 0

The two were so similarly rotund that Lu Fei Fan could only identify them by their voices. Thankfully, their voices hadn’t changed much; however, their pig-like faces left him utterly astonished. 0

"A Teng... Da Li, how did you guys get so fat all of a sudden? Did they feed you pig feed during the assessments? You look like a pig head now. But honestly, seeing this makes me feel quite pleased..." 0

"Hahaha," Lu Fei Fan teased, then approached to pinch and tug at A Teng, laughing uncontrollably. 0

"Ah, this is terrible! My handsome face is ruined! Dali, you look really ugly now that you've gained weight. Stay away from me; I can't help but feel nauseous," A Teng exclaimed, and right then and there, he actually started to vomit. 0

"Bah! How dare you call me ugly? If it weren't for me helping you, you'd probably have been stung to death by those Missile Bees in the exam room," Niu Dali scoffed. 0

"Missile Bees?" 0

"Dali, what’s this about your Missile Bees?" Lu Fei Fan quickly interrupted Niu Dali to ask. 0

Niu Dali explained in detail that in their venue, they were also facing creatures of a similar level to the Lightning Silver Snake that Lu Fei Fan encountered. Unlike the Lightning Silver Snake, the Missile Bees attacked with a force akin to bullets. Fortunately, both A Teng and Dali had undergone modifications with the D-Level Gene Solution, awakening their bodies' Empowerment. 0

Niu Dali was tough enough to withstand the attacks, but the exam required them to capture thirty Bullet Bees. After entering, they fought separately and were thoroughly tormented by the Missile Bees, leaving them battered and bruised as they were swarmed and stung like a couple of punching bags. 0

Fortunately, A Teng had a clever idea and used his transformation ability to turn into a large queen bee. 0

Niu Dali focused on capturing the bees and after much effort managed to catch enough to barely pass. 0

After hearing this, Lu Fei Fan understood that both venues had similar assessment content; it was just that the toxin from the Missile Bees wasn’t as potent as that from the Lightning Silver Snake. Judging by A Teng and Niu Dali's swollen faces, they must have accumulated quite a bit of bee venom inside. 0

Lu Fei Fan then instructed the two fellows to practice the Fu Mai Xi Shu technique he taught them to expel the bee venom. Surprisingly, after just a short while of practicing Fu Mai Xi Shu, their pig-like faces noticeably reduced in swelling by more than half. If they continued for a few more rounds, the venom would likely dissipate completely. 0

However, Lu Fei Fan couldn't help but chuckle at how each of them had their own unique way of detoxifying. 0

A Teng's method involved… constantly going to the restroom—averaging once every minute—and he ended up making dozens of trips. The continuous strain nearly left him completely drained. 0

Niu Dali's detox method was a slow process. Just as A Teng was experiencing a heavenly moment in the restroom, Dali the bull began his own detoxification, which involved letting out some loud farts! 0

The thunderous sounds echoed, and the continuous release of gas was accompanied by an unbearable stench that made Lu Fei Fan quickly retreat to a safe distance. 0

When A Teng emerged from the restroom, he noticed a peculiar smell in the air. Curiously, he sniffed around and discerned certain components of the gas, sensing something was off. 0

"Why does it smell like onions, garlic, and stinky tofu...?" A Teng wondered aloud as he inhaled the pungent air. 0

"Impressive, impressive! You can actually identify that," Dali said, deliberately sniffing his own scent. "But why can't I smell anything from my own farts?" 0

"Ugh—" 0

A certain someone who had just exited the restroom quickly covered his mouth and rushed back inside to continue his 'detox.' This time, he was overwhelmed by the toxic fumes of his friend's flatulence and nearly fainted in the restroom. 0

After a while, once he had finished throwing up, Dali rubbed his chin and chuckled mischievously. "A Teng, I'm sorry! I really did eat a huge bowl of stinky tofu last night, dipped in onion sauce and garlic..." 0

Ugh— 0

That person rushed back to the restroom again to gag. 0

Lu Fei Fan pinched his nose and stayed at a distance. Meanwhile, Qingfeng Foshan Gang also suffered from Dali's toxic emissions, leaving A Teng looking pale and distressed. 0

The three of them managed to pass through the second trial, moving on to the third. Following the directions of the guards along the way, they walked for quite a while until they reached the port of Xiang Cha Island. 0

However, there were guards stationed near the port as well. Lu Fei Fan spotted armed armored vehicles patrolling around Port Dock, and to their surprise, two 'Fire God' heavy tanks were parked at one of the entrances. 0

The 'Fire God' heavy tank may not be the best military tank in the Free Federation, but it is certainly sufficient for dealing with the typical shallow-water invading monsters known as Sea Beasts. Moreover, Tea Fragrance Island is not located on the outskirts of the Free Federation's dangerous waters, so this type of tank is rarely seen. However, it has a drawback: its mobility is not fast. It is equipped with two rapid-fire phase cannons on its turret, and its dark Iron Tower shape resembles a simple fortress. 0

In front of the three of them were several candidates who had successfully passed the second round of assessments. They walked to the dock and handed their badge numbers to a military officer stationed there. After checking and scanning their badges, the officer gestured for them to board a Ferry. 0

Lu Fei Fan and his companions approached the officer responsible for checking badges, taking turns to have their badges scanned. The officer signaled them to board, but Lu Fei Fan intended to gather some intelligence. However, seeing the officer's stern expression, he decided against it. 0

The three boarded one of the Ferries at the port. This Ferry could accommodate three to four hundred people, and all candidates were arranged in a spacious cabin. Many people were already waiting for departure. Lu Fei Fan, along with Niu Dali and A Teng, found a spot on a wide deck and sat down, waiting for the ship to set sail, though they were unsure which island they would head to. 0

What puzzled Lu Fei Fan was that this Ferry was not guarded by military personnel but was instead staffed entirely by exam proctors wearing armbands to maintain order. Judging by their steady strides and composed demeanor, they were likely Fusers, certainly not ordinary crew members. 0

Could it be that the third round of assessments would take place on this ship? 0

As they continued to wait, large barrels of water and food like bread were brought in. After devouring their meals in hunger, everyone fell into a tedious wait. The Ferry's cabin likely housed over two hundred candidates; some sat together chatting out of boredom while others practiced martial arts—there was a mix of activities. 0

A Teng and Niu Dali dozed off, their loud snores making Lu Fei Fan feel even more restless. Seizing the opportunity, he began to practice his Fu Mai Xi Shu technique, continuing to refine the Pulse Energy within his cells. He sensed that more energy cells would awaken soon. 0

When that time came, he would be able to activate the Morning Star in that chaotic space again; every little bit was progress. 0

Time passed quickly while he meditated. As night fell and nearly two hundred people had boarded the Ferry, the gates closed, and an announcement began. 0

“Good evening, everyone! I am the captain of this Ferry. I will now take you to your next assessment location.” 0

Upon hearing this, cheers erupted from those on board. They had been waiting on this Ferry for nearly five or six hours; if it didn’t set sail soon, there might have been a rebellion. During the afternoon wait, several candidates had rushed out to question what they were waiting for and were promptly taken away by proctors wearing armbands, disqualifying them from the exam and nullifying their previous scores. 0

Having learned from this example, no one dared to speak out afterward; after all, challenging examiners or proctors maintaining order was not something everyone wanted to do. 0

As the crowd cheered for the Ferry finally setting sail, the announcement crackled through the speakers, dousing their excitement like cold water. 0

“Additionally, I have some unfortunate news. Tonight, the sea ahead will be experiencing a marine storm, and there is a possibility that the Ferry may sink at any moment. If it comes to abandoning ship, you’re on your own. If you’re unhappy about this, feel free to go to the captain’s cabin and take it up with him…” 0

What kind of irresponsible behavior was this? To tell passengers to fend for themselves in case of an emergency and then suggest they confront the captain if they were dissatisfied? Lu Fei Fan had never encountered such a personality in a captain before. 0

Once the announcement ended, the candidates in the cabin erupted into chaos, crying out in despair as if a bomb had gone off. Some even formed groups intending to confront the captain, but not long after, screams echoed from outside the cabin, followed by several objects being tossed overboard with splashes. 0

Peering out the window, those candidates who had initially planned to confront the captain quickly abandoned their thoughts. It seemed that the captain responsible for this Ferry was no ordinary person; his style of handling things was oddly appealing to Lu Fei Fan. 0

This incident did not affect the other candidates; they quickly returned to their calm banter as if nothing had happened. Even the crew members moving about on deck seemed unfazed, continuing their work diligently. 0

The atmosphere in the cabin gradually returned to normal. However, ahead of the brightly lit Ferry, dark clouds swirled ominously over the sea, and monstrous waves crashed violently as if ready to overturn everything. The fierce Lightning Silver Snake struck repeatedly from the clouds towards the Sea Surface, its thunderous roars echoing endlessly. 0

Many candidates inside the cabin gradually fell silent, their conversations halted as they caught glimpses of nature's terrifying spectacle unfolding in the distance. 0

There, just ahead where the Ferry was headed. 0

A storm awaited them, like an omen of doom… 0
