Su Mingxian had no idea about Shen Chi's plans, so it was impossible for her to wait at home for him to pick her up.

Xiangyang Village was only about a twelve-minute walk from Hongqi Town, so the journey wasn’t far. The old walls and earthy-colored houses showed that there were hardly any brick houses around.
The only prominent building was the supply and marketing cooperative, which had now turned into a private business.
Su Mingxian bought two hundred jin of flour in one go, along with some white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, peanuts, white sugar, soybean oil, and lard. She also purchased various tools, ending up with a large pile of items.
In the blink of an eye, she had spent over a hundred yuan, which made her heart ache. However, Su Mingxian was confident that she would soon double her investment.
"Sis! Sis! What are you doing here? Why did you buy so many things?"
A dark-skinned young man spoke up, looking somewhat foolish and stuttering a bit; he appeared to be in his early twenties.
Su Mingxian paused for a moment. "Who are you?"
She couldn't help but forget who he was, but the young man immediately said, "Sister-in-law, it's me, Heizi! We're from the same village, Village East End."
Su Mingxian then recalled, "Oh, I remember now. Your mother is Aunt Cuihua?"
"Yes, yes, that's right!" Huzi nodded vigorously. "Sister-in-law, I brought the ox cart to help you move!"
At that moment, Su Mingxian remembered that the current grain and oil store didn't deliver goods, and she felt a bit awkward. Before she could speak, Heizi had already skillfully loaded everything onto the ox cart.

"That's good to hear! Oh, it's really nice that you all study so much; your minds are so sharp. By the way, what are you cooking? It smells so good!"
Su Mingxian's hands moved swiftly as he crushed sesame seeds and peanuts, adding white sugar into the mixture. While stirring, he said, "Aunt Cuihua, this is Oil Tea Noodles. This pot will be ready soon. I'll boil some water and let you taste it."
"Oh dear, such a precious dish! I can't possibly eat it; it would be a waste if you gave it to me. This needs to be sold!" Aunt Cuihua shook her head repeatedly.
Su Mingxian chuckled and replied, "What’s the big deal? It's all homemade. Don't be polite with me; just help me taste it and let me know how it is."
