"Have you treated the company like your own home? Did you forget to eat something?" Zhang Baofeng was not holding back, even though he was part of Jiang Nan's group. He couldn't accept such disgusting behavior.
If he were to say that Lan Ruo Yi had a pretty good temper and could handle things well, Bai Juan would consider it more carefully. Would Lan Ruo Yi and Liu Ru Yan really be able to say this without facing any repercussions?
Just then, Lan Ruo Yi received a phone call from He Ru, also known as Sister He. "Is there a problem with the salary on your end?"
Lan Ruo Yi exchanged glances with Liu Ru Yan. What did that mean?
"Yes, I find this situation very unreasonable. You started enforcing this rule without informing me," she replied.
He Ru wasn't responsible for this issue; her responsibility was related to Liu Ru Yan's performance. Jiang Nan had suddenly asked her to call Lan Ruo Yi, and she was a bit confused.
"Actually, this news was communicated, but it was told to Zhang Na. She didn't have the chance to inform you before it slipped through the cracks," He Ru explained, following the script Jiang Nan had given her.
The explanation wasn't meant to make Lan Ruo Yi feel guilty; it was simply to avoid any misunderstandings.
Upon hearing this, Lan Ruo Yi let out a cold laugh. "Alright, Sister He, I understand."
This trick would not work on Lan Ruo Yi; she had seen through such tactics before. During her time as a palace maid, she had often been threatened by similar methods. It seemed that despite the passage of time, their tricks hadn't changed.
"What about Xuyan? I'll inform her," He Ru remembered that Liu Ru Yan was also involved in this matter.
Without hesitation, Lan Ruo Yi handed her phone to Liu Ru Yan. She feared that if she continued listening, she might lose her temper.
But she couldn't do that; everything was still unclear. She couldn't put either of them in such a dangerous position, especially since Liu Ru Yan's health was particularly unstable.
"Sister He, what's going on?" Liu Ru Yan asked.
Liu Ru Yan had never felt any reverence for the leadership in her department. To her, they were just people she barely knew and rarely interacted with. It was more accurate to say they were familiar strangers than anything else.
As Yan finished explaining to Ruo Yi, she turned to He Ru and said, "I’ll also let you know about this."
"I will send you a revised version of the order content. This month is just a trial run; we’ll start officially next month, so please take a close look."
He Ru's words were quite pleasant, and Liu Ru Yan didn't expect them to be so shameless.
"When will the deductions for this month be returned to us? By the way, I heard that someone has reported us?"
Liu Ru Yan was not holding back anymore; she couldn't continue being polite. Since these people had lost all shame, she would start to be calculative as well.
He Ru didn't know how to respond, so she turned on the speakerphone. "Could you repeat that? The signal was bad just now, and I didn't catch it."
He Ru was sitting in the president's office with Jiang Nan and Yun Chao present. They listened as Liu Ru Yan repeated herself. After a moment of contemplation, Jiang Nan picked up her phone and sent a message to He Ru.
He Ru hesitated. "Are you sure you want to say it like this?"
Jiang Nan nodded. "Just say it like that."
"Hello, Sister He, are you listening?"
Liu Ru Yan noticed the silence on the other end and began to doubt, glancing at her phone which showed full signal.
"Why aren’t you speaking?"
"Cough, I’m listening. So here’s the thing, Ru Yan." He Ru gathered her thoughts.
It was difficult for her to say these words. She understood what it meant to be reported, but saying it outright felt too shameless.
"Your performance deductions for this month will be returned along with your salaries next month," He Ru said before pausing.
"As for the complaint issue you mentioned, after verification, it indeed pertains to your problems, so we cannot waive those deductions."
After saying this, He Ru felt a sense of relief. On the other end of the line, she could hear heavy breathing; she sensed that Liu Ru Yan was organizing her thoughts.
However, Liu Ru Yan didn’t say anything; she accepted their fault without protest.
"What is this complaint about? Who verified it? Why can’t you tell us? What if we unknowingly repeat our mistakes?"
Liu Ru Yan's words were quite tactful; she was just short of pointing fingers at them and accusing them of fabricating issues.
He Ru was at a loss for how to address this situation. In truth, calling it a complaint was merely an excuse for unreasonable customer grievances.
"Cough, do you remember Wang Zong?" He Ru looked at Jiang Nan's phone screen: "Let’s push the Wang Yang issue onto them."
"Are you serious?" He Ru exclaimed, looking at the situation as if she had never met Jiang Nan before. Jiang Nan felt helpless; the money was meant to get Wang Yang out of trouble.
What’s wrong with deducting it? Can’t we deduct it?
Lan Ruo Yi and Liu Ru Yan exchanged puzzled glances. "Which Wang Zong are you talking about?"
"The one and only Wang Yang, Wang Zong," He Ru reminded them again. Still, the two couldn’t recall who Wang Zong was. They barely remembered him; they had only crossed paths briefly, and everything afterward wasn’t handled by them.
How could they possibly remember?
Never mind, that wasn’t important. Let her continue speaking. Lan Ruo Yi thought she would ask about it later but decided to focus on finding the original matter for now.
