After listening, Che Mi boldly patted her chest, her eyes sparkling with confidence.
Looking across the world, no one had yet appeared who could defeat her; how could anything possibly go wrong? Her smile was filled with self-assurance in her own abilities.
Chen Moxuan nodded, "Then I shall take my leave."
Che Mi felt a twinge of reluctance, but it was only a fleeting feeling. She waved her hand as Chen Moxuan departed.
After bidding farewell, Chen Moxuan set off on his journey back to Yun Miao Sheng Zhou, escorted by Xiao Long. Xiao Long transformed into a streak of light, swiftly guiding him through the sea of clouds.
However, they had not ventured far from the Martial God Sect when an old man appeared before them, calm and composed; it was none other than the Martial Immortal Emperor.
Chen Moxuan's heart tightened at the sight, fearing that the Martial Immortal Emperor had come to reclaim the Qian Kun Blood Gourd. He immediately became alert.
"Martial Immortal Emperor, are you here to bid farewell or do you have other intentions?" Chen Moxuan gripped the gourd tightly.
The Martial Immortal Emperor waved his hand dismissively, his expression indifferent. "Rest assured, I am not here to take your gourd. Consider this treasure as an apology for the past."
Chen Moxuan sighed in relief but remained cautious. "Then why have you stopped me? What is it that you want?"
"I am interested in the matters concerning your Yun Miao Sheng Zhou," the Martial Immortal Emperor said, his tone probing. "You seem quite anxious; what has happened to make you so hurried?"
Chen Moxuan's face revealed little emotion as he pondered before responding. "It is still shrouded in mystery, but it pertains to events from ancient times."
The Martial Immortal Emperor inhaled sharply upon hearing this and looked at Chen Moxuan with a serious expression. "Your master and I made a pact long ago. If there is something you cannot resolve, come seek me."
This was the first time Chen Moxuan had heard of such an agreement; he hadn’t realized his master had been making moves behind his back.
"If it truly comes to that and I cannot rectify the situation, I will not hesitate to ask for help."
"Haha, I know you are always decisive," the Martial Immortal Emperor laughed, his voice echoing in the air with approval.
With that, the Martial Immortal Emperor lightly leaped into the air. His figure seemed to merge with the void itself, vanishing without a trace in an instant. Only a faint ripple of celestial energy remained, proving that he had once been there.
Chen Moxuan marveled inwardly, yet his resolve only grew stronger.
He sat atop the little dragon and swiftly traversed the clouds, returning to Yun Miao Sheng Zhou. Just as he landed at the foot of the mountain, he was about to instruct the little dragon to return to the mountain when unexpectedly, the little dragon fixed her soulful eyes on him and declared, "I want to join you in confronting the Blood Emperor! My strength is your strength!"
Her earnest demeanor brought a smile to Chen Moxuan's face. Not bad; her acting had improved quite a bit since before, but still, it wouldn't do.
The little dragon instantly became furious and grabbed Chen Moxuan by his collar. "If you don’t take me out to play, I’ll kill all those pets you raise and eat them! After all, you’re not on the mountain; if I kill you, you won’t even know!"
Chen Moxuan thought of the spirit beasts he cared for and sighed. "Alright, you can come with me, but you must listen to my commands along the way. If you don’t obey my commands, be prepared for me to use the Dragon Binding Rope on you!"
Upon hearing the words "Dragon Binding Rope," the little dragon shivered slightly and quickly nodded obediently. "I will definitely behave!"
"Good. Then let’s head to Crimson Flame Mountain Range first." Chen Moxuan smiled faintly, his eyes glinting with determination.
The Blood Emperor's heart was sealed there; perhaps the power of flames could temporarily suppress its evil, but this time, he would ensure it fell into a deep slumber!
The little dragon let out a roar and soared into the sky. She transformed into a brilliant streak of light, once again carrying Chen Moxuan as they shot up into the clouds, racing toward the southernmost point of Yun Miao Sheng Zhou.
Crimson Flame Mountain Range stood out prominently in this land shrouded in flames and heat. The area was perpetually hot; the sky appeared scorched red, and even the air was thick with a burning sensation.
The mountains rolled like waves, with unique red trees resembling a massive fire dragon winding across the land.
Chen Moxuan and the little dragon gradually approached this Crimson Flame Mountain Range, finally descending slowly into a valley known as Crimson Valley.
The surrounding heat was intense, with sulfur and magma scents permeating the air. The environment here was exceptionally unique compared to other places.
The entire mountain resembled a volcano, riddled with thousands of holes through which molten lava could be seen inside, yet it showed no signs of eruption.
The Sealing Altar was located at the center of this magma field, constructed from massive black stones.
The ancient runes carved into the rocks glowed faintly, as if telling tales of a thousand years of change. Guarding this place was none other than the Ancient Beast, the Flame Unicorn Beast.
In fact, it was the Flame Unicorn Beast that had given rise to the mountain known to people as Flame Mountain. The Flame Unicorn Beast was the embodiment of magma and fire.
It was massive, its body covered in crimson scales that resembled burning flames. Its eyes shone like two blazing suns, radiating a light that was hard to look at directly. With a casual sweep of its tail, it could stir up a sea of fire, and its breath could melt stone with its searing heat.
It had been a long time since Chen Moxuan had seen the Flame Unicorn Beast. They had known each other since childhood. He had once saved the Flame Unicorn Beast's life by chance, and since then, this Ancient Beast had held a trace of goodwill towards him.
Upon hearing Chen Moxuan's voice, the beast's sun-like eyes flickered slightly, as if it recognized him. However, it did not lower its guard; instead, it let out a low growl, signaling them not to approach the altar.
"It's me! What's wrong with you?" Chen Moxuan asked in confusion. Although their last meeting had been over three years ago, he didn't expect such a reaction from the beast, considering they had both grown.
The Flame Unicorn Beast remained silent for a moment, its blazing eyes fixed intently on Chen Moxuan. "It's me! What's wrong with you?" he repeated, stepping forward in an attempt to get closer to the massive Ancient Beast.
Yet, the Flame Unicorn Beast merely growled again, seemingly warning him not to come any closer.
"I need to go in and take a look; there are some matters that must be resolved," Chen Moxuan declared firmly. For some reason, he felt that the Flame Unicorn Beast's unusual reaction was connected to the sealed area.
The Flame Unicorn Beast seemed to understand his words but did not respond; it simply stepped back silently. Its gaze revealed a complex mix of emotions—both helplessness and concern.
Although Chen Moxuan did not know what was troubling the Flame Unicorn Beast, he sensed that something was amiss.
