When Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi woke up, they saw that Xu Yi was already sitting by the bed, holding a plate of delicious breakfast with a pleasant aroma. The three of them looked at Xu Yi in surprise, their eyes filled with joy at seeing Xu Yi getting better. Xu Yi smiled at them and said, "Good morning, I'm feeling much better. Thank you for taking care of me last night. I've prepared breakfast for you, I hope you like it."
Three of them took the breakfast with gratitude, expressing that Xu Yi's recovery was their greatest wish. They sat around, enjoying this special breakfast, as well as the rare friendship and warmth. From that day on, Xu Yi gradually forgot about Jian Chen's existence and returned to the embrace of the campus.
Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi continued to accompany her, spending one beautiful moment after another together. Their friendship deepened because of this experience, becoming the most precious treasure in each other's lives. But since Xu Yi returned to campus, she had a faithful shadow by her side - Jian Chen.
No matter if Xu Yi goes to class, the playground, or the library, Jian Chen always silently follows behind her, protecting her in his own way. In class, Xu Yi listens attentively, while Jian Chen sits at the back of the classroom, occasionally glancing at Xu Yi. During breaks, Xu Yi likes to take walks in the playground with Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi.
Jian Chen quietly followed them, keeping a proper distance. He would observe Xu Yi and her friends' interactions from afar, with a warm smile on his face. After school, Xu Yi often went to the library to study. Jian Chen would also follow her, finding a seat not far from her, quietly flipping through the books in his hands. Occasionally, he would look up at Xu Yi with gentle and caring eyes.
One day, the sun was shining brightly, and Xu Yi went for a walk on the playground as usual with Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi. They chatted and enjoyed this rare leisure time. However, at that moment, a boy suddenly walked over and began to harass Xu Yi with disrespectful words. Xu Yi didn't want to engage with him and was about to turn and leave with Bai Jinxi, but she was stopped.
Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi immediately became nervous, trying to protect Xu Yi. But the young man was tall and strong, and the few girls clearly were no match for him. Just as the tension reached its peak, Jian Chen and Xing Hao suddenly appeared in front of everyone. His face was stern, and his eyes revealed a chilling intent. "What do you want to do?" Jian Chen asked coldly, his voice filled with authority.
That boy was intimidated by the momentum of Jian Chen and Xing Hao, and for a moment, he couldn't speak. But soon he came to his senses and arrogantly shouted, "Who are you? Mind your own business!"
Jian Chen didn't answer, just silently stood in front of Xu Yi. His gaze was like a torch, staring directly at the boy, as if trying to devour him with his eyes.
That young man was overwhelmed by Jian Chen's momentum and couldn't help but feel a little flustered. However, he didn't want to lose face in front of everyone, so he bravely stepped forward to provoke. But as soon as he took a step, he was intimidated by Jian Chen's fierce gaze and retreated. "Get lost!" Jian Chen coldly spat out a word, his voice filled with unquestionable authority.
The boy was intimidated by Jian Chen's momentum, and he lowered his head in fear before slinking away from the playground. Xu Yi, Chenchen, Yao Lu, and Bai Jinxi all breathed a sigh of relief when they saw this.
