An hour ago, at the Zheng Family residence.
Zheng Mengni was tidying herself up, putting in effort even though it wasn't a date. As she passed by Ye Bingran's bedroom door, he rolled out in his wheelchair, his innocent and pure face looking up at her as he asked, "Sister, are you going out?"
Zheng Mengni was still upset and ignored him.
Ye Bingran slowly followed behind her, feigning a pitiful expression as he said, "I haven't been out in a long time. Can you take me with you?"
Zheng Mengni turned around and bent down, resting her hands on her knees. She gazed softly at him and replied gently, "Your legs aren't fully healed yet. It would be very inconvenient to go out."
Ye Bingran raised the corners of his lips, "I think it’s quite convenient."
Zheng Mengni shook her head vigorously, "No, no, no. If you get lost while we're out, Mom and Dad will blame me. I can't let that happen."
"Just keep an eye on me," he insisted.
"I only have two eyes; I can't watch you all the time."
"Then I'll watch you. I won't get lost."
Zheng Mengni still refused, "No, I don't want to take responsibility for you, and I definitely don't want to be blamed by Mom and Dad."
After saying that, she walked away without giving Ye Bingran a chance to argue.
As Zheng Mengni was about to enter the elevator to go downstairs, she glanced back and saw Ye Bingran hunched over in his wheelchair, curled up tightly.
Upon closer inspection, he was trembling noticeably.
