Yuan Yixun clearly remembered that day was a weekend. She and her friend were excitedly out shopping, chatting and laughing all the way. 0

As they walked along the bustling street, Yuan Yixun held a cup of milk tea, sipping it while chatting with her friend. Suddenly, her friend pointed across the street, exclaiming in surprise, "Wow! That girl is so hot! Isn't she your sister?" 0

Upon hearing this, Yuan Yixun's body stiffened, and her smile vanished instantly. She slowly turned her head to look across the street. 0

There stood a fashionable girl with golden hair, wearing a low-cut black camisole and a super short leather skirt. Her face was heavily made up as she cozied up to a man beside her. The man casually laughed, a cigarette dangling from his mouth while his other hand roamed over the girl’s body, taking advantage of her. 0

"Yuan Xiaoxuan!" Yuan Yixun snapped back to reality, her anger erupting uncontrollably. 0

She locked eyes with her sister's panicked expression, and a wave of frustration surged within her. 0

In Yuan Yixun's mind, her sister, who would face the college entrance examination next year, should be diligently studying at a tutoring class. Yet here she was, dressed provocatively in a bustling area and behaving intimately with a clearly unsavory man. 0

Yuan Yixun was nearly beside herself with rage. Ignoring her friend beside her, she rushed over and forcefully pulled Xiaoxuan away. 0

The man was taken aback by this sudden action but soon approached to try and stop Yuan Yixun. 0

With a stern face and wide-open eyes filled with fury, Yuan Yixun said, "She’s only 17! If you don’t want me to report you for enticing a minor, get lost right now!" 0

In Yuan Yixun's memory, her sister had always been the obedient and innocent type—simple ponytail, slightly clumsy glasses, and a smile that still held the innocence of youth. 0

She never imagined that the sister she had grown up with for 17 years could display such an unseemly side. 0

On the way home, Xiaoxuan kept pleading, "Sister, I promise I won’t do it again. Please let me off this time!" 0

However, Yuan Yixun was too furious to listen to her sister's pleas. She dragged Xiaoxuan straight to their parents. 0

"Look! This is your most obedient little daughter, dressed like a prostitute and fooling around with men on the street!" 0

After throwing down this accusation, Yuan Yixun stormed into her room and slammed the door shut with a loud bang. 0

She was not only angry at her sister for being so reckless, but also furious that her friends had witnessed everything. Yuan Yixun felt that she had never been so humiliated in her life; she even began to worry about how to face her social circle in the future. 0

The hatred in Yuan Yixun's heart reached its peak. She skipped dinner and burrowed under her blankets, covering her head in an attempt to shut out the outside world. 0

In the living room, her father's furious shouts echoed, accompanied by her mother's disappointed sobs, while Xiaoxuan remained silent for a long time. 0

After an endless barrage of arguments, Xiaoxuan finally spoke wearily and despairingly: 0

"I made one mistake; can't you give me a chance to change? Why do you have to insult me so harshly?" 0

Xiaoxuan's words did not calm the storm that night; instead, they further enraged their parents. 0

Yuan Yixun remembered that it wasn't until 2 AM that she finally drifted into a restless sleep amidst exhaustion and confusion, while the shouting outside continued unabated... 0

However, the day after everything happened, her sister ran away from home and never returned. 0

A week later, Xiaoxuan jumped from the top floor of a sixteen-story apartment building. 0

She did not leave this world alone; two other girls accompanied her on the path to death. Three girls of similar age, in the prime of their youth, ended their lives in such a tragic manner. 0

After her sister's departure, Yuan Yixun found herself waking up from nightmares every night. 0

In her dreams, Xiaoxuan appeared covered in blood, gazing at her with sorrowful eyes but remaining silent. 0

Yuan Yixun believed that Xiaoxuan chose suicide out of hatred for her, so even in death, she would return as a nightmare to punish her. Yet deep down in her subconscious, she still hoped—albeit humbly—that there was some other reason for her sister's death and that it was not entirely her fault. 0

Unable to bear the torment within, Yuan Yixun took on the role of a clumsy detective and began asking around until she finally found her sister's closest friend. 0

"The reason for Xiaoxuan's suicide?" At the school gate, Tang Ran pondered seriously over Yuan Yixun's question. 0

“Did she ever mention anything to you? Like... did she resent me?” Yuan Yixun asked, pointing at herself, her voice trembling. 0

“Wow! You're her sister; how could she take her own life out of resentment towards you? That sounds too serious!” Tang Ran exclaimed, looking at Yuan Yixun in surprise. 0

“You don’t know…” Yuan Yixun was about to reveal what had happened that day when Tang Ran interrupted her. 0

“Right! I just remembered. Not long ago, Xiaoxuan did mention that she had a big fight with the family. But a few days later, she seemed to have come to terms with it and even told me she was planning to go home to apologize.” 0

“And then what?” Yuan Yixun pressed eagerly. 0

“And then… two days later, she…” Tang Ran couldn’t continue, letting out a helpless sigh. 0

Her sister no longer harbored resentment towards her or their parents, so why did she still choose to end her life? Yuan Yixun returned home and voiced her doubts to her parents. 0

Her mother had grown much thinner in recent days, her eyes swollen and red from crying. “Girls her age are often in a very sensitive emotional state; they can be impulsive. Even a small issue might lead them down a dark path. Perhaps she still resented us deep down… It’s all my fault; it’s all my mistake…” 0

Her father sat silently on the sofa, smoking quietly. In the swirling smoke, his face appeared particularly weary and haggard. He hadn’t spoken a word in days. 0

Yuan Yixun couldn’t accept this outcome. She stopped going to school; even when she occasionally did, she couldn’t focus on anything the professors said. She poured all her energy into uncovering the reasons behind her sister’s suicide. Sometimes, she felt like she was just deceiving herself, yet she couldn’t stop this frantic pursuit. 0

Perhaps there were clues to be found in the cases of the other two deceased girls… 0
