Ruan Fuxi extinguished Bai Zhan and emerged from the secret realm holding his severed head. Bai Wu's stern reprimands before the recording stone turned into a joke. The disciples of the Bai Mountain Sect had yet to recover from the shocking revelation that their acting sect leader, Bai Zhan, was a great evil cultivator. In the next moment, they witnessed the sect leader's token, which had been missing for decades, reappear.

Bai Wu felt it was only right to speak up. "The sect leader of Bai Mountain has always been from the Bai family. You are an outsider; naturally, you should return the token to us and let a member of the Bai family continue to lead Bai Mountain Sect."
Ruan Fuxi, as an outsider, had no right to surpass him and become the sect leader. Bai Wu felt disdainful in his heart.
Ruan Fuxi raised an eyebrow. "Are you talking about yourself? Do you wish to be sect leader?"
Seeing that she had seen through his thoughts, Bai Wu boldly declared, "That's right! I have been in Bai Mountain Sect for many years and am a legitimate member of the Bai family with deep qualifications. It would be best for me to take on the role of sect leader."
Suddenly, Ruan Fuxi let out a cold snort, her voice icy. "You have committed numerous wrongdoings, repeatedly disregarding the rules of the Xuanmen and attacking ordinary people. The blood of countless innocent lives stains your hands, yet you dare to fantasize about becoming sect leader?"
Bai Wu's expression changed drastically.
"Defamation! On what grounds do you say such things about me? Where's your evidence?"
Now that the elder brother is dead and no one is protecting him, if the people from the Xuanmen find out about his past misdeeds, he will surely have no place to hide in the future.
Before Ruan Fuxi could respond, a deep voice rang out from the side.
"How dare you! Who do you think you are? According to our sect's teachings, Ruan Daoist is now the leader of our Baishan Sect. Anyone who refuses to acknowledge this has ulterior motives. Come and spar with me if you dare!"
Ruan Fuxi was somewhat surprised by this support. Who would stand up for her like that?
She turned to see it was someone who had stood beside Bai Wu during the recent conference. She remembered that he had been quite excited when he saw her.
But Ruan Fuxi was certain she did not know him.
Could he be a friend of her biological parents?
Ruan Fuxi nodded at him, then turned to address the crowd with a clear voice:

Bai Wu felt a surge of panic and immediately interrupted her.

A smile that was neither here nor there appeared on Ruan Fuxi's face.
"Don't be anxious; your turn will come soon. And who said I have no connection to the Baishan Sect?"
Bai Wu suddenly felt a wave of fear and unease wash over him as he scrutinized Ruan Fuxi's expression, his eyes widening in shock.
