Thus, Bai Zhan nodded and said, "Then let’s do as you say. Leave him with a complete corpse; let him die with some dignity. Also, the exchange conference is about to begin. Create some trouble for both of them; don’t let them have time to focus on their cultivation."
He wouldn’t kill them just yet, but making them suffer a little would serve as interest for what was to come.
