Ruan Fuxi sat down beside him. Gao Li poured her a cup of tea and then introduced her.
"Our research institute isn't large, only about thirty people, but everyone is usually busy, so we often have incomplete attendance. Once you come a few more times, you'll get to know everyone."
Ruan Fuxi nodded.
Gao Li continued, "As for the person I took away yesterday, she has already been sent to the Mountain Sect."

There was nothing wrong with what he said to the Mountain Sect; it was completely in line with the facts. Gao Li chuckled. "Of course, we need to protect our own here at the institute. However, the Mountain Sect is quite powerful, so you need to be cautious."
The Mountain Sect wouldn't dare cause trouble for the institute, but if Ruan Fuxi were to be alone, that could be a different story.
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "Don't worry, Master. I know what I'm doing."

"Even though the Mountain Sect has some status, our research institute is a national organization and not easily bullied. If they weren't avoiding rankings, our position wouldn't be so low either."

As her words settled in the air, Gao Li and Yuan Qi's expressions grew grave. "Is it possible that such a thing has occurred?"
