At the entrance stood a reception desk manned by a figure whose form was indistinct, making it impossible to discern their features; this person was presumably the receptionist of the Knowledge Tower.
Upon seeing Ruan Fuxi and Sheng Yanzhou enter, the figure's ethereal voice echoed, "What can I assist you with, esteemed guests?" The voice was androgynous.
Ruan Fuxi felt a twinge of curiosity about the person's true appearance, but even with her Golden Core cultivation, she couldn't see through it. It seemed this ghost market had its secrets.
"I would like to inquire about some information," she said.
The figure clearly dealt with such inquiries frequently and was not surprised. "If you wish to purchase information, please head upstairs. If you want to issue a bounty mission, just let me know directly."
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "Thank you."
During her time in the cultivation world, she had encountered places similar to the Knowledge Tower, so she adapted quickly. Turning her head to look at Sheng Yanzhou, she found him calm and unperturbed, a hint of amusement flashing in her eyes. No matter where he was, Yanzhou could always adapt.
Ruan Fuxi and Sheng Yanzhou ascended the stairs.
As she ascended the stairs, the area transformed into a series of compartments, each with closed doors that obscured what lay within. At the stairway's entrance stood another figure, shrouded in black mist, rendering their features indistinguishable.
Ruan Fuxi regarded her and spoke directly, "I want to inquire about some information."
In the next moment, the figure responded, "What information do you seek?"
"From Jing City," Ruan Fuxi replied.
The figure seemed to nod slightly before directing her, "Room Six."
"Thank you," Ruan Fuxi said, and she proceeded with Sheng Yanzhou into Room Six.
Once they entered, the door closed automatically behind them, revealing a simple setup of a table and chairs. The instant the door shut, another silhouette appeared, dressed similarly to the two she had encountered earlier.
The figure asked, "What information does the guest wish to uncover?"
Ruan Fuxi fixed her gaze on the shadowy form and inquired, "I want to know who issued the bounty regarding the Feng Shui arrangement set up by the Ruan family in Jing City?"
"I'm sorry, but that is a bounty posted by another guest in this establishment; I cannot disclose that information," came the reply.
Ruan Fuxi sighed inwardly; she had anticipated this response. Undeterred, she pressed on with another question: "I would like to know what connection Ruan Changlin from Qingshan Town has with Bai Tang and the Baishan Sect."
